In response to being reset, the microprocessor: reads the predetermined number and the Boolean complement of the predetermined number from the second plurality of fuses, Boolean complements the predetermined number read from the second plurality of fuses to generate a result, compares the result with the Boolean complement of the predetermined number read from the second plurality of fuses, and prevent itself from fetching and executing user program instructions if the result does not equal the Boolean complement of the predetermined number read from the second plurality of fuses.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 8, 2010Publication date: February 10, 2011Applicant: VIA TECHNOLOGIES, INC.Inventors: Darius D. Publication number: 20110035616Abstract: A microprocessor includes a first plurality of fuses, a predetermined number of which are selectively blown. Control values are provided from the first plurality of fuses to circuits of the microprocessor to control operation of the microprocessor. The microprocessor also includes a second plurality of fuses, blown with the predetermined number of the first plurality of fuses that are blown. In response to being reset, the microprocessor is configured to: read the first plurality of fuses and count a number of them that are blown; read the predetermined number from the second plurality of fuses; compare the counted number with the predetermined number read from the second plurality of fuses; and prevent itself from fetching and executing user program instructions if the number counted from reading the first plurality of fuses does not equal the predetermined number read from the second plurality of fuses.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 8, 2010Publication date: February 10, 2011Applicant: VIA TECHNOLOGIES, INC.Inventors: G. Publication number: 20110035633Abstract: A method may include transmitting, during a point-to-point over Ethernet (PPPoE) discovery stage, a PPPoE active discovery (PAD) packet from a customer premises equipment (CPE) device to an access concentrator. The PAD packet may include a tag that is associated with a device type of the CPE device. The method may include receiving a PPPoE active discovery session (PADS) confirmation packet from the access concentrator. The PADS confirmation packet may be associated with conclusion of the PPPoE discovery stage and establishment of an Ethernet communication session between the CPE device and the access concentrator.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 18, 2010Publication date: February 10, 2011Applicant: AT&T INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY I, L.P.Inventors: Kenneth Roger Jones, Brian Gonsalves

Patent number: 7886202Abstract: A computer-implemented method for tracking computer system events and user actions is provided. The method includes detecting one or more system events of a computing system and one or more user actions performed on the computing system. The method also includes recording at least one system event and at least one user action. Additionally, the method includes synchronizing the recordation of the at least one system event and the recordation of the at least one user action. The method further includes presenting to a user the recordation of at least one system event and the recordation of at least one user action.Type: GrantFiled: February 27, 2008Date of Patent: February 8, 2011Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Phillip Lin, Anne Ryan, Steven Miller

Patent number: 7886205Abstract: Verifying operation of a data processing system. A first sequence of addressing ranges is generated for multiple requesters. Each addressing range includes a start and an end address and a respective identifying number. A second sequence of verification ranges is generated corresponding the addressing ranges of the first sequence. Each verification range includes a start and an end address and specifies at least one allowed value including each respective identifying number of all of the addressing ranges that overlap the verification range. A respective accessing activity executing on each requestor accesses each addressing range in the first sequence. The accesses include writing the respective identifying number of the addressing range to at least one address of the addressing range. A verification activity executing on a requestor reads a value from each address of each verification range of the second sequence and outputs an error message in response to the value not matching the allowed value.Type: GrantFiled: June 24, 2008Date of Patent: February 8, 2011Assignee: Unisys CorporationInventors: Michelle J. Patent number: 7886054Abstract: A graphical user interface (GUI) is disclosed that allows a user to identify routers, communities, residents and media aggregation managers existing on a network. The user may interactively select a path that includes two media aggregation managers and at least one router. The GUI predicts scheduled bandwidth utilization along the selected path for a variety of residents wishing to communicate across the path. The GUI may be utilized for initializing all media aggregation managers on the network along with provisioning each of the routers on the selected path. The GUI provisions all of the routers and initializes all of the media aggregation managers on the selected path simultaneously in order to accomplish the predicted schedule of usage provided by the GUI to the user and force all communication packets communicated between the residents to travel along the selected path.Type: GrantFiled: October 11, 2000Date of Patent: February 8, 2011Inventors: Siddhartha Nag, Alfred D'Souza, Naveed Alam, Rakesh Patel

Patent number: 7878671Abstract: A file system for a stage lighting system that maintains the different files associated with the stage lighting system. Each of the files that can represent an effect are maintained within the system within a configuration file. The configuration file can be updated on each start of the system so that the system can maintain information indicative of current configuration files. A test mode can also be entered in which a pre-formed show can be tested against the current state of the configuration files.Type: GrantFiled: September 25, 2007Date of Patent: February 1, 2011Assignee: Production Resource Group, LLCInventor: Mark A.
