When a potential threat is detected or an actual threat is identified, the security tool can request the history of actions from the tagging tool corresponding to the threat. The security tool can compare the potential or actual threat with the history of any action recorded by the tagging tool in order to classify a potential threat as an actual threat or determine the source or cause of an actual threat.

Abstract: Apparatus, systems and methods are described that facilitate the detection of errors within a remote control for a controlled device. A remote control detects an error condition during operation and transmits information regarding the error to a controlled device. The information regarding the error may be analyzed to determine the source of the problem in the remote control and/or possible solutions.

Abstract: A method may include generating a list of current files stored in a user device, wherein the list of current files includes unique file identifiers, each associated with a corresponding one of the current files. The method may further include sending the list of current files from the user device to a network device and receiving a copy list from the network device in the user device. The copy list may be generated by comparing the list of current files to a list of previously copied files, and the list of previously copied files may include unique file identifiers, each associated with a different one of the previously copied files. The method may include sending the files listed in the copy list from the user device to the network device.

Abstract: A method for performing failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) on integrated circuits including preparing a FMEA database of an integrated circuit under design and computing FMEA results from the FMEA database. Information is automatically extracted from an integrated circuit description. The extraction of information includes reading integrated circuit information, partitioning the circuit in invariant and elementary sensitive zones (SZ), using the information in the preparation step of a FMEA database. Optionally a FMEA validation stage may be performed with which FMEA computed results are compared with FMEA measured results to obtain FMEA validated results.

Abstract: A method and system for immediate failure checking for lost message processing comprises receiving a first message of a web-service transaction comprising first message sequence information at a computing device in a transaction environment of a target web service, storing a first record of the first message within the computing device, receiving a subsequent message comprising corresponding message sequence information at the computing device, storing a second record of the subsequent message within the computing device, comparing the first message sequence information with the subsequent message sequence information using the computing device, identifying a transaction error using the computing device, if the subsequent message is not an initial message in a sequence of messages based on the comparing, reporting the transaction error from the computing device, and aborting processing of the web-service transaction if the transaction error has occurred, using the computing device.

Abstract: A network administration system includes an Internet-based repair (eRepair) subsystem that is configured to accept customer trouble reports related to a network and to provide customer trouble report status information to customers. The administration system also includes a Work Force and Administration-Control (WFA/C) subsystem that is configured to manage repair services that are performed on the network in response to the customer trouble reports. A repair status update system, method and/or computer program product is configured to automatically send a status change message from the WFA/C subsystem to the eRepair subsystem upon occurrence of a change in a status of a customer trouble report in the WFA/C subsystem as a result of repair services that are performed on the network. The customer trouble report status information is updated in response to receipt of the status change message.

Current predefined logical connection data and actual physical connection data is gathered. The predefined logical connection data and the actual physical connection data are formatted into a plurality of sortable tables. At least a portion of the predefined logical connection data is formatted into a predefined channels table and at least a portion of the actual physical connection data is formatted into a node information table. The portion of the predefined logical connection data is compared with the portion of the actual physical connection data. The portion of the predefined logical connection data is determined to substantially match/not match the portion of the actual physical connection data. At least one predefined logical connection associated with the predefined logical connection data that fails to substantially match the actual physical connection data is displayed to a user.

Abstract: Systems and methods for processing encoded digital data for programming a device to be re-programmed in an audio playback system. The system includes an audio media source containing digital data having audio data or encoded data in an audio data format. An audio media reader reads the digital data from the audio media source. A stream detector receives the digital data from the audio media reader and detects whether the received digital data includes encoded data formatted as audio data or audio data. An audio receiver device receives the audio data and processes the audio data for playback. A device to be re-programmed uses the encoded data formatted as audio data.

Abstract: An advertisement providing method and system may allow improving the frequency of advertising exposure. In a method for providing an advertisement, a client sends a request message to a server. The request message requests an action of the server. The server determines whether an error occurs when performing the action. If the error occurs, the server extracts advertisement data based on information in the request message. The server creates a response message by combining the extracted advertisement data with error occurrence information, and sends the response message to the client.

Abstract: A method for processing handover state information, a mobile access gateway (MAG), and a mobile node (MN) are disclosed. The method includes: receiving a handover state notification message, where the handover state notification message includes interface handover indication information; determining a handover indication option value according to the interface handover indication information; and generating and sending a proxy binding update (PBU) message, where the PBU message includes the handover indication option value. With the present invention, a MAG can obtain the handover state information of an MN through the interface handover indication information of the MN. The application scope is wide, and the access success probability is increased; therefore, the access quality of service (QoS) provided for the user is improved.

One process includes operations for identifying an internal server error associated with a particular type of error and returned by a web container. A counter of the number of internal server errors returned by the web container is incremented. The internal server error is also associated with an internal categorization of the particular type of internal server error, and the occurrence of the internal server error is added to a categorization entry generated based on the internal categorization of the error.

Abstract: A system allowing for path monitoring and notification in a system of switching elements and processing elements is provided. An exemplary technique uses a monitoring and notification module configured to generate and output monitoring messages across multiple paths defined by the plurality of switching elements and the plurality of processing elements, detect a fault in the system based on the monitoring messages, and generate and output multiple alert messages across the multiple paths to initiate recovery from the fault As such, a single element (or group of elements) does not become isolated from the rest of the elements in the system.

The scheduler assigns work items to be processed by the rendering objects, and once completed, the work items are returned to the scheduler for further processing by a transport object.

Abstract: A method and system for detecting errors in stored pattern definitions. The method describes structuring a pattern definition into a specified format and creating a pattern definition file. The structured pattern definition contents are hashed to generate a filename for the pattern definition file. This filename, along with a corresponding identifier, is added to an identifier document. Each filename in the identifier document is compared with all other filenames to determine a degree of overlap. A potential error is indicated if a filename substantially matches any of the other filenames in the identifier document.

Abstract: A controller for a building management system includes a system of rules for detecting faults in the building management system. The rules include content conditions and trigger conditions. The content conditions are not checked until one or more of the trigger conditions are met. A rule-based fault detection engine may be implemented by a low level building equipment controller. One or more thresholds for a rule may be automatically or manually adjusted.

The method includes detecting occurrence of an error at a specified one of the adapters, wherein the error affects one of the system images, and generating an error message at the specified adapter. The method further comprises routing the error message from the specified adapter to the particular root node that includes the affected system image. The error message is then selectively processed at the particular root node, in order to identify the affected system image.

The method may include receiving a PPPoE active discovery session (PADS) confirmation packet from the access concentrator. The PADS confirmation packet may be associated with conclusion of the PPPoE discovery stage and establishment of an Ethernet communication session between the CPE device and the access concentrator.

Abstract: Verifying operation of a data processing system. A first sequence of addressing ranges is generated for multiple requesters. Each addressing range includes a start and an end address and a respective identifying number. A second sequence of verification ranges is generated corresponding the addressing ranges of the first sequence. Each verification range includes a start and an end address and specifies at least one allowed value including each respective identifying number of all of the addressing ranges that overlap the verification range. A respective accessing activity executing on each requestor accesses each addressing range in the first sequence. The accesses include writing the respective identifying number of the addressing range to at least one address of the addressing range. A verification activity executing on a requestor reads a value from each address of each verification range of the second sequence and outputs an error message in response to the value not matching the allowed value.

Abstract: A graphical user interface (GUI) is disclosed that allows a user to identify routers, communities, residents and media aggregation managers existing on a network. The user may interactively select a path that includes two media aggregation managers and at least one router. The GUI predicts scheduled bandwidth utilization along the selected path for a variety of residents wishing to communicate across the path. The GUI may be utilized for initializing all media aggregation managers on the network along with provisioning each of the routers on the selected path. The GUI provisions all of the routers and initializes all of the media aggregation managers on the selected path simultaneously in order to accomplish the predicted schedule of usage provided by the GUI to the user and force all communication packets communicated between the residents to travel along the selected path.

Abstract: A file system for a stage lighting system that maintains the different files associated with the stage lighting system. Each of the files that can represent an effect are maintained within the system within a configuration file. The configuration file can be updated on each start of the system so that the system can maintain information indicative of current configuration files. A test mode can also be entered in which a pre-formed show can be tested against the current state of the configuration files.
