Abstract: An apparatus for propulsion control in a motor vehicle with an anti-locking system is proposed, in which the supply and outflow of pressure medium is controllable via electromagnetically actuatable valves and which is characterized in that means are provided with which the return flow line can be exposed to pressure. It is the purpose of the apparatus to expand an anti-locking system to include a drive slippage regulating function, and this expansion is problem-free and cost-favorable. The proposed apparatus furthermore assures that a brake pedal actuation has priority. It is also proposed in the case of excessive slippage of both driven wheels to reduce the engine output. This is attained with a controllable drag member disposed between the driving pedal (or linkage) and the throttle valve, the control of the drag member being effected by means of the auxiliary pressure in the return flow line and via an electromagnetically controllable three-port, two-position valve for a hydraulic AND member.
Abstract: A control apparatus for internal combustion engines, which generates an adjustment path on the part of an adjustment member which is proportional to the air mass supplied to the engine. The control apparatus contains a counterpart pressure chamber sealed off from the outside and separated in a pressure-tight manner by an adjustment diaphragm from a first pressure chamber exposed to induced air pressure. A pressure source generating a reference absolute pressure which is constant under all operating conditions is connected to the counterpart pressure chamber. Consequently, the apparatus performs the function of a charge pressure stop equipped with a diaphragm box. The air reservoir of an air pressure brake system, a reservoir charged with the exhaust gas counterpressure or charge air pressure, or a vacuum pump can serve as the pressure source, and an absolute pressure controller controls the reference absolute pressure prevailing in the counterpart pressure chamber.

Abstract: An electromagnetically actuatable valve is proposed, which serves in particular to inject fuel into the intake tube of internal combustion engines operating with fuel injection systems. The fuel injection valve includes a valve housing, a shell-type core having a magnetic coil, and a flat armature. The flat armature is firmly connected with a spherical valve element which passes through a central guide opening in a guide diaphragm and cooperates with a fixed valve seat. The guide diaphragm guides the valve element in the radial direction toward the valve seat. The flat armature contacts the guide diaphragm via a concentric shoulder providing tension thereto so that the armature is guided in a plane parallel to the end face of the shell core. The fuel supply to the valve is effected via radial inlet openings in the valve wall.
Abstract: A fuel injection system for injecting fuel into the air intake tube of an internal combustion engine, including at least one fuel injection valve, which is disposed in a holder body and communicates with a fuel supply line and a fuel outflow line. The fuel injection valve is provided with a fuel supply groove, branching off from which are fuel inlet openings, and a fuel outflow groove, leading away from which are fuel outlet openings. The fuel injection valve is guided in the radial direction in a guide opening of the holder body by supporting bodies of a fuel filter which extends axially over the fuel injection valve, covering the fuel supply groove and the fuel outflow groove. The middle supporting body of the fuel filter is embodied such that it seals off the fuel supply line and the fuel supply groove from the fuel outflow line and the fuel outflow groove.

Abstract: An improved wall mounted enclosure device for a sanitary brush having a telescopically extensible handle and a rigid head at one end with its bristle face inclined with respect to the axis of said handle. A flange surrounds a portion of the handle adjoining said head adapted to suspend said brush from a bracket on the door of said enclosure device with respect to the pivotal mountings of the door thereof so as to maintain said door in closed position over said sanitary brush when not in use and to expose the brush for use. Abstract: An apparatus is proposed which serves to form the operating mixture for internal combustion engines, in particular for mixture-compressing engines having externally supplied ignition. The apparatus includes an air measuring device having a control body, which has a circularly curved control section and an actuation section. In accordance with the forces of the air which engage the actuation section, the control body, with its control section, opens a flowthrough opening in a mixture forming section to a greater or lesser extent. The control body is rotatably supported, concentrically with a throttle valve, and is connected with a metering needle which protrudes through a metering opening, at which point a greater or lesser fuel quantity is metered in accordance with the rotational movement of the control body.
Abstract: An electrical water heating device for use in a closed circuit heating system, such as a central heating system, includes a horizontally elongated hollow cylindrical body having a top, bottom and a pair of opposite ends. At least two electric heating elements are mounted opposite to each other on the same horizontal level in the body at both ends thereof and the body has a water outlet and a water inlet centrally located, respectively, in the top and bottom thereof. Two identical T-shaped nozzles are mounted in a symmetrical manner to the inlet and the outlet of the device, respectively, by a short vertical bar of the nozzle. Each nozzle includes elongated closed-end horizontal bar provided with two sets of holes symmetrical with respect to the vertical bar of the nozzle.
Abstract: A method and an apparatus are proposed for performing a comparison of patterns of invariable form, especially fingerprint pattern. By the application of a finger on a prism within a beam of light, a latent picture of fingerprint lines is obtained which is optically compared with a copy of the same fingerprint stored in memory or located on a card. After conversion into an electrical variable, an identification pulse results which is subjected to at least one test criterion and compared with a threshold value. Preferably the testing of a master symbol located on the inserted card is effected at the same time, comparing this with a copy of the same stored in memory within the appliance. If the test criteria show an agreement of the fingerprint with the fingerprint copy and/or of the master symbol with the copy of the master symbol then a positive assessment is effected, and access to a building, for instance, is furnished.
Abstract: An electromagnet is proposed which serves in particular for actuating a fuel injection valve for fuel injection systems of internal combustion engines. The electromagnet includes a housing and a magnetic coil mounted on a core. The supply of electric current to the magnetic coil is effected via contact prongs, which protrude via insulating inserts into the housing and whose ends are yieldingly surrounded by loops embodied on contact lugs. The contact lugs are disposed on the carrier body and on the other end are electrically conductively connected with the wire ends of the magnetic coil.
Abstract: This invention relates to a method of treating a surface with reagents. The method comprises:(i) establishing a reagent in a liquid phase;(ii) forming a foam of said liquid phase;(iii) applying said foam to said surface to be treated;(iv) causing or allowing the foam to collapse at the interface of said surface being treated to deposit the reagent thereon and thereafter removing or deactivating the reagent on said surface when the treatment is complete, whereby the rate of foam collapse is controlled to control the rate of application of the reagent to the said surface.
Abstract: An electrode assembly for use in a capacitance type probe for measuring volume or height of an electrically conductive liquid. The probe includes an inner conductor which an electrical conductive wire is connected at one end. The inner conductor is surrounded by a thick-wall TEFLON tube which functions as an insulator. A thin-wall TEFLON sleeve is heat shrunk onto the thick-wall TEFLON tube and the ends of the thin-wall sleeve are heated and sealed about the thick-wall tube to prevent any leakage of fluid to the inner conductor. The assembly is also provided with a polyurethane foam to provide rigidity and to prevent moisture from forming within the assembly.
Abstract: The invention relates to a fuel injection pump having a hydraulic governor, wherein the control pressure is reducible via a valve operating in accordance with temperature when the engine is cold, as a result of which the idling rpm increases.
Abstract: A fuel injection system is proposed which has a high-pressure pump, a fuel reservoir determining the injection pressure, and an intermediate piston, during whose first half-stroke meters fuel under low pressure and during a second half-stroke, driven by the reservoir, injects the metered fuel. In order to vary the duration of injection, the pressure in the reservoir is determined either by means of the supply quantity of the high-pressure pump or by means of an appropriate pressure control valve in an outflow conduit.

Abstract: A voltage-frequency converter having a chargeable and dischargeable memory, a comparator circuit and a subsequent multivibrator, wherein the charging and/or discharging signal for the memory is obtained from special signal sources. At constant charging and discharging signals, a linear voltage-frequency conversion is provided. In the case of variable charging or discharging voltages, non-linear signal conversions are possible. The multivibrator may be a digital monostable multivibrator, to effect precise, reproducible and quantifiable period durations in the output signal of the converter, and thus a very precise voltage-frequency conversion.

Abstract: A fuel injection nozzle is proposed which opens toward the outside and functions with a valve needle and two springs, and further wherein a throttle restriction is effective after a first portion of the opening stroke, acting as a pre-stroke, and can be subsequently rendered ineffective. The two springs having a predetermined certain relationship to one another enable an abrupt increase in closing force after the pre-stroke. The first spring, embodied as a compression spring, acts in the closing direction; the second spring, having a smaller force than the first spring and acting counter to the closing direction, is rendered ineffective after the pre-stroke has been performed.
Abstract: There is proposed a hairstyling appliance which has a hair curler cylinder and a hot-air nozzle. The hair curler cylinder is provided with slits; its interior communicates with an air-aspirating device. The hot-air nozzle is directed toward the surface of the hair curler cylinder. Hot air generated by a dryer also provided in the appliance flows from this hot-air nozzle. Upon rotation, the hair curler cylinder takes up the hair and winds it up as a result of the underpressure prevailing at its slits. The hair is then held in the wound-up position, while it is subjected to the flow from the hot-air nozzle. The air, after absorbing water vapor upon passing through the hair, is simultaneously aspirated away from the interior of the hair curler cylinder. The hot-air nozzle is disposed on the appliance at a predetermined, fixed distance from the hair curler cylinder.
