An exponential horn is placed at an opening of the chamber, whose design is based on a Helmholtz resonator, whose captive air volume takes over the function of an active diaphragm, and the resonant frequency of the horn resonator has a specific relation to the resonant frequency of the chamber and the loudspeaker.

    Abstract: A circuit for actuating control elements, for example a fuel shutoff valve in the carburetor of an internal combustion engine or a similar control element. The circuit is responsive to engine speed and to throttle valve position as monitored via the intake manifold vacuum. When the engine idles and the throttle is closed, the fuel control valve is held open to supply normal idling fuel or fuel mixture. However, if the engine speed rises above a threshold speed while the throttle is closed, the control circuit assumes a condition of engine braking and the fuel supply is interrupted. The switching threshold is established as the voltage on a capacitor controlling a transistor, the capacitor being charged continuously and being discharged during the occurrence of voltage spikes taken from the ignition coil of the vehicle.

    Abstract: A fuel injection system is proposed which serves for the improved conditioning of the fuel-air mixture fed to a mixture-compressing, spark-ignited internal combustion engine. The fuel injection system comprises preferably an injection valve at the air intake pipe wherein a conditioning member, pivotable by the amount of air introduced in opposition to a resetting force, is arranged downstream of an arbitrarily operable throttle element, this pivoting action being arranged to cause a pressure drop at the conditioning member. The fuel injection takes place through an injection valve disposed in an air bypass beyond the throttle element and the conditioning member. Due to the pressure drop produced by the conditioning member, it is ensured that, in all positions of the throttle element, a constant air stream is maintained via the air bypass, which serves for conditioning the injected fuel.

    Abstract: In order to enrich the fuel mixture fed to an internal combustion engine temporarily subsequent to engine braking, the invention proposes that engine braking is detected as the combination of a closed throttle and elevated engine speed. A detector for this condition supplies a signal to the fuel shut-off mechanism of a valve-control pulse generator. After engine braking, the counter is reset with the signal from the engine braking detector and counts engine-synchronous pulses. The counter contents are decoded and transformed into an analog signal which is used by the pulse generator for additional pulse extension to supply excess fuel to the engine for a limited period of time.
