    Abstract: An anti-lock apparatus for a pump-reinforced hydraulic brake system which includes a foot-actuated brake valve and a hydraulic main brake cylinder, the main cylinder being attached to a closed brake circuit so that in the event anti-locking is required, pressure medium is drawn from the closed brake circuit under the control of a 3/2-way valve in order to lower the pressure. This lowering of pressure is monitored via a return line by a switchover valve dependent on reservoir pressure and the withdrawal of this volume takes place by way of a check valve which only opens the passage through the return line when the pressure on the secondary side is higher than that on the primary side. The piston of the main cylinder serves to mechanically control the return flow. The brake valve has a pedal path blocking, which is made effective when the auxiliary energy supply is intact and which becomes ineffective when this supply fails.

The preferred embodiment comprises a pump of the lateral channel type having an impeller made integral with the motor armature; a tubular central housing portion which encloses the permanent magnets of the electric motor; and flange-like housing terminals on both sides of the central housing portion. The exteriors of the housing terminals are provided with pressure and suction nozzles and the interiors are provided with the stationary part of the pump and the commutator guides for the collector.

    Abstract: A procedure and an apparatus are proposed for effectively degassing fuel supply pumps, where the fuel used contains components which vaporize easily at elevated fuel temperatures, and particularly for leading off gas bubbles as they are formed whenever these occur or form in the immediate area of the pump intake. The entire pump and especially the intake area of the pump, which is preferably a roller piston pump, are embodied in open design, with the fuel supply pump arranged perpendicularly and the pumping area located at the bottom, so that gas bubbles forming in the fuel can be carried off before they are introduced into the pump.The pump comprises a base plate with a telescoping rigid tubular member and an intermediate plate screwed onto the base plate, the intermediate plate having an eccentric boring, which encloses the groove disc of the thus-embodied roller piston pump.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for determining the proportions of the air-fuel mixture constituents supplied to an internal combustion engine from a mixture preparing device such as a carburator, a fuel injection device or other suitable mixture preparing device. The method according to the invention serves to simplify the processing of output signals that are supplied to a mixture preparing device having at least two .lambda. sensors. The invention is especially suitable for use with large engines with several exhaust conduit systems, such as so-called V-engines, in which generally there is an unequal mixture distribution between the two rows of cylinders. By employing at least two .lambda. sensors in the exhaust gas conduit system for monitoring the exhaust gas composition, one succeeds in determining the mixture composition of the air-fuel mixture applied to all cylinders, and in influencing the air-fuel mixture in a suitable supplementary manner by a feed back of the actual value signals generated by the .lambda.

    Abstract: A device for exhaust gas recycling is proposed which controls the amount of recycled exhaust gas in an internal combustion engine equipped with an injection unit so that a certain air factor is attained. The device comprises a closing element for the exhaust gas return conduit, which latter terminates into the intake manifold, this closing element being suitably constituted by a throttle valve and being directly connected to the adjusting lever or control rod of the injection pump. If this connection is established via a resilient linkage between the adjusting lever and the exhaust gas return valve, then the thus-recycled amount of exhaust gas can be dimensioned so that a specific quantity of recycled exhaust gas is associated with a specific angular position of the adjusting lever.

    Abstract: A fuel supply apparatus is proposed which serves to control a mixture-compressing, externally ignited internal combustion engine. The fuel supply apparatus includes at least one fuel depositing point in the air intake manifold, within which an air flow rate meter and an arbitrarily actuatable throttle valve are disposed in series and the air flow rate meter is moved against a restoring force in accordance with the air quantity flowing therethrough. The air flow rate meter, which is embodied as a flat rotary element in the shape of a circular sector, more or less widely opens an aperture which defines the cross-sectional width of the air intake manifold and is rotatably fixed about a rigid shaft extending in the direction of air flow. The intake manifold pressure upstream of the air flow rate meter acts on one side of the air flow rate meter, and the intake manifold pressure downstream of the air flow rate meter acts on the other side of the air flow rate meter.
