Abstract: A brake pressure control system for braking systems of a vehicle with anti-locking and drive slip control in which there is at least one expansion chamber provided between the wheel brake cylinders and the recirculating pump. The expansion chamber includes an inlet and an outlet on the same end with a piston having a closing mechanism thereon that is spring forced to seat the closing mechanism on a seat at the outlet. The valve seat is reduced in size compared with the piston and the spring is in a chamber which is open to the atmosphere. Due to the valve seat being reduced in relation to the area of the piston located in the expansion chamber, a steep closing force gradient is achieved, since even small pressure differences result in large closing force differences, so that the opening and closing pressures lie close together. Based on this additional closing mechanism, provided on the expansion chamber, the requirement for a separate valve for brake pressure control is no longer required.
Abstract: A disk brake having an electromagnetic friction clutch that can be brought into controllable frictional engagement with a brake disk. The friction clutch can act on a device for generating hydraulic pressure independent of the direction of rotation, and this pressure can act upon a clamping device for operating friction linings. To press the friction linings against the brake disk, energy is taken from the rotating vehicle wheel by means of the friction clutch and metered to the clamping device with pressure fluid as the energy carrier. The friction brake can be used in passenger cars, for example.

Abstract: A fuel injection valve and method for adjusting the static fuel quantity output ejected during the steady opening state of the fuel injection valve. In the method according to the invention, the static fuel quantity is adjusted directly in the otherwise completely installed fuel injection valve, so that a variation on the static fuel quantity of the various fuel injection valves is minimized. To this end, a throttle device, serving to meter the fuel and whose free flow cross section is variable, is provided upstream of the valve seat. The method according to the invention is suitable for fuel injection valves of various kinds.
Abstract: A tank venting system which avoids soiling of the negative pressure protection valve which can cause problems in functional capability. The negative pressure protection valve is preceded by the intake air filter of the engine, so that with the negative pressure protection valve opened, a pressure equalization between the atmosphere and the tank venting system takes place by means of intake air filtered by the intake air filter. The tank venting system according to the invention is used to vent a fuel tank of a mixture-compressing internal combustion engine with externally supplied ignition.
Abstract: A dual-circuit braking system for motor vehicles with an anti-locking device and optionally traction control, which is equipped with at least one pressure reducer for the brake pressure in the front-axle brake cylinders. With normal braking this pressure reducer is activated and the brake pressure on the front wheels is reduced. In the case of anti-locking, the pressure reducer is deactivated. However, with a defect in the electrical system or the anti-locking device, the pressure reducer is de-activated, and braking occurs at the front and rear such that vehicle deceleration of 0.82 G blocks the front wheels before the rear wheels.
Abstract: A fuel injection pump of the radial piston distributor injection pump type which includes pump pistons, which during execution of their intake stroke, are acted upon from a side of a pump work chamber with fuel at a first, higher pressure, which is taken from a suction chamber. The pump pistons on their opposite outer face ends are acted upon by a pressure of a lesser magnitude, and this latter pressure is adjusted in a chamber that is divided from the suction chamber by a movable diaphragm. Hence mechanical restoring means for the pump pistons for executing their intake stroke are dispensed with.
Abstract: An electromagnetically actuatable injection valve, including a nozzle with a shaped end face in combination with a perforated plate through which the fuel flows. The nozzle injection valve has an injection chamber which is defined by a downstream terminal face of the valve closing element and by the perforated plate which is spaced from the nozzle and provided with injection ports. The geometrical embodiment of the injection chamber influences the fuel flow in such a way that a pulse flow vector of the flow penetrates an imaginary jacket face at right angles, so that the injection ports are acted upon substantially by pressure energy. The novel injection valve is especially suitable for fuel injection systems of mixture-compressing internal combustion engines with externally supplied ignition.
Abstract: A device for feeding a specific number of spheres into a container from a supply conduit via a sphere-metering device so that a predetermined number of spheres reaches a container. The metering device has a groove that is aligned with the outlet of the supply conduit and the opening of the positioned container and functions in conjunction with a cylindrical worm conveyor that covers this opening laterally and whose axis of rotation runs parallel to the extension of the groove. As the worm conveyor rotates by one turn, the spirals in cooperation with the stationary groove, guide the required number of spheres form-fittingly and forcibly into the container. A sensor of a monitoring device detects the conveyance of the spheres in order to feed the proper number of spheres to the container.
Abstract: The invention relates to a hydraulic pressure transformer, wherein a storage chamber and a work chamber are connected with each other via an overflow bore into which a plunger piston dips to generate a pressure stage and thereby separates the two chambers for generating a high pressure in the work chamber. An additional connecting conduit with a check valve is provided between the work chamber and the storage chamber.
Abstract: A hydraulic ram assembly is provided to be used, singly or in multiples, in raising a weighted member, such as a hammer (30) for pile driving, each having means whereby fluid used to extend a respective piston (26) can readily escape to give a sudden release, gravity induced return movement.
Abstract: A method of finishing the edges of a knitted fabric which makes use of a flat knitting machine which has at least a pair of front and rear needle beds, one bed or both being arranged for lengthwise movement, transferring edge loops of the knitted fabric hooked on their respective knitting needles from one needle bed to the other; knitting a strand of stitches from a given number of the loops carried on the knitting needles of the needle bed at one side; transferring the front end loops of the strand onto desired knitting needles of the opposite needle bed; moving the needle beds relative to each other for displacing the front end loops of the strand from the start position of the same; placing the front end loops of the strand over given edge loops of the knitted fabric for coupling; and repeating the foregoing steps from transferring the edge loops of the knitted fabric to placing the front end loops of the strand over given edge loops of the knitted fabric.
Abstract: A sterilization device on a filling and sealing machine for cup-shaped packaging containers has an endless conveying device in a sterilization chamber. The conveying device is equipped with carrier plates for the packaging containers has two deflection segments one above the other, and two vertical straight segments between them. A preheating device and a sterilization device for applying the sterilization medium are associated with the ascending straight segment, and a drying device is associated with the descending straight segment. The treatment medium, such as warm air, sterilization means and sterile drying air, are blown through nozzles descending into the conveyed containers. During passage through the upper deflection segment, the applied sterilization medium acts for a specific period of time: while the containers point downward with their openings. The containers occupy a horizontal position in the straight segments.

Abstract: A hydro-pneumatic pressure transformer with a storage piston fixed between storage oil and compressed air, which furthermore is centrally penetrated by a plunger piston, wherein, for the separation of oil from water, relief grooves are provided on the jacket face as well as in the wall of the central bore, which are connected with each other and are pressure-relieved via a ventilating bore leading to the exterior.
Abstract: In a piston with an encompassing seal, which is seated slidably in a cylindrical receiving bore of a structural part such as a housing block and which can be acted upon by pressure on at least one end, the piston is intended to have a shoulder for receiving the seal. This shoulder divides a cylindrical running face of the piston of a segment having a jacket face, and a groove is formed into the jacket face for receiving a ring that secures the seal in the axial direction and also acts as a stripper ring protecting the sealing ring.

Abstract: A hydraulic adjusting device for rotating a camshaft relative to its drive wheel which includes a coupling member, which cooperates with the drive wheel and with the camshaft via a pair of gear tooth systems, at least one of which is a helical gear. The coupling member is connected to an actuator, which is embodied as a single-acting cylinder. This singleacting cylinder is acted upon by pressure that is variable by a control valve. The restoration of the coupling member or of the actuator takes place only from the restoring moment upon the actuation of the valves of the engine by the camshaft.
Abstract: A breather valve for the gas tank of an internal combustion engine having an adsorption filter which is linked to the atmosphere by a breather line which is controlled by a shut-off valve. The tank breather valve is constructed so that pressure build up in the fuel tank, the lines, and the adsorption filter do not lead to damage of the valves. The magnetic circuit of the shut-off valve provides that above a predetermined pressure in the adsorption filter, the generated pressure is sufficient to open the shut-off valve, thereby facilitating pressure relief without any damage. The breather is particularly suitable for internal combustion engines in motor vehicles.

Abstract: A feed pump for a hydraulic system that is equipped with at least one outlet valve whose valve-closing body is loaded by a valve spring. The valve-closing body is held at a distance form its valve seat by means of a gas-filled hollow-body ring so that the feed pump can be evacuated through its outlet valve for subsequent filling with a hydraulic pressure medium. With a first increase in pressure in the system, the hollow-body ring is pressed together, so that the valve-closing body slips through the hollow-body ring and reaches its valve seat, thus making the outlet valve operational. The feed pump is suitable for use as a return pump for anti-skid systems of hydraulic brake systems.
Abstract: An electromagnetically actuatable valve including an armature with a connecting part joined to a valve element. The magnet armature is provided with at least one recess including a shoulder on which a crimped portion of the connecting tube rests. The connecting tube is provided with a thickened portion likewise resting on the magnet armature. This creates a simple connection between the connecting tube and the magnet armature which requires no subsequent machining. The electromagnetically actuatable valve may be used as a fuel injection valve for fuel injection systems of mixture-compressing internal combustion engines having externally supplied ignition.
