Abstract: In a liquid vaporizing/feeding method of the present invention, carrier gas is forced out at a very high speed against a mass flow controlled liquid feedstock to change the liquid feedstock into a mist; after that, the mist of the feedstock is vaporized and mixed with the carrier gas, and a mixture of the mist and carrier gas is furnished to a succeeding process. A liquid vaporizer/feeder according to the present invention comprises a main vaporized unit which is cylindrical in shape, and a mist nozzle having an inside nozzle fixed in an inlet of the main vaporizer unit for feeding liquid feedstock into the main vaporizer unit and an outside nozzle encompassing an opening of the inside nozzle for forcing a carrier gas at high speed around the opening of the inside nozzle, and the main vaporizer unit has an evaporation space where a mixed mist of the liquid feedstock with the carrier gas that is forced out of the mist nozzle is vaporized.
Abstract: A lifting apparatus for a vehicle, which comprises: a platform adapted to be fitted into a cut portion formed at the backward portion of the floor of a vehicle; a drive element provided at support members attached to the lower part of the floor; a drive shaft axially supported by the support members so that it rotates by expanding or contracting movement of a working rod of the drive element; an L-shaped drive arm having an elbow portion fixed to the drive shaft, a short rod portion, and a long rod portion pivotally supported by the platform; an L-shaped driven arm provided oppositely to the drive arm and having a long rod portion similarly pivotally supported by the platform, an elbow portion pivotally supported by the support member, and a short rod portion; and a connecting rod having both end portions respectively pivotally supported by the short rod portions of the driven arm and the drive arm, and adapted for transmitting a drive force of the drive element.

Abstract: A device for changing the rotational position of a rotating, driven control shaft that controls the opening and closing of gas exchange valves of an internal combustion engine and is displaced via an electric motor and an interposed toggle lever arrangement having a downstream diagonal toothing arrangement for simplified displacement with minimal force and energy expenditures. The result is a simple, accessible, easy to maintain economical displacement drive for changing the rotational position of the control shaft in order to change the control times of gas-exchange valves in an internal combustion engine.
Abstract: A chair or the like with an undercarriage, having a seat surface that is attached in a resilient manner to the undercarriage and a backrest that is connected in a resilient manner to the seat surface, wherein to assure a flexible and individual conformity of the chair or the like to the body placing a load on it. A plurality of flexible strips are disposed next to one another and attached in their end area in a nearly horizontal orientation to the undercarriage which act as a seat surface, and wherein a plurality of strips disposed next to each other in a nearly perpendicular orientation act as a backrest and are connected with their one end area to a strip and with their other end to the seat surface.
Abstract: An automatic, hydraulically-operated steering assembly for a towed vehicle is disclosed. Each set of steerable ground-engaging wheels of this towed vehicle is steered by a double action piston fed by a pair of hydraulic hoses connected to a control valve actuated by a pivotal device and a control rod. A bypass is provided between the two hydraulic hoses to allow the hydraulic pressure to slowly equilibrate in the two hoses and thus allow the wheels to return in their straight line position when the source of pressurized fluid is normally disengaged or in the case of a failure of the hydraulic system. Advantageously, the valve is controlled by a push-pull cable having one end attached to one wheel and another end to the valve. The towed vehicle may comprise one or more sets of steerable wheels. In the latter case, the front and rear sets of wheels are adapted to pivot in either direction, the middle set being non-pivotal.

Abstract: A headrest for seats which is recessed in a central recess of the seat and is capable of tilting forward so as to be used as a headrest, and automatically returning this headrest to its original position by tilting it forward more than a predetermined angle with respect to the seat back. The headrest is formed on an upper portion of a seat back and is swingably supported by means of a hinge mechanism equipped with a ratchet mechanism. The hinge mechanism 8 includes a movable hinge portion fixed on a lower portion of a supporting frame of the headrest, and a hinge main body fixed on a seat back frame so as to be hingedly supported on a rotational shaft together with the movable hinge portion. Further, there is provided a return spring together with the supporting frame of the headrest that returns the headrest to its recessed position.
Abstract: A measuring instrument for contactless determination of an angle of rotation of an adjusting shaft. To avert transmitting a tumbling motion from the adjusting shaft to the measuring instrument, a coupling body is provided, which with engagement protrusions, engages engagement grooves of a driver body with play. The driver body actuating the measuring ring is as a result decoupled from tumbling motion effected by the adjusting shaft. The measuring instrument is especially suitable for contactless determination of the angle of rotation of a throttle device in an internal combustion engine.
Abstract: An adsorption filter is linked to the atmosphere by a breather line to prevent condensates from settling in the shut-off valve, as they flow through the breather, so that this valve becomes unable to function. The breather has a vertical arrangement of the shut-off valve with a magnetic circuit arranged above the valve operative parts to ensure that any condensate which forms can flow off, without impairing the function of the shut-off valve (51, 51'). The breather is particularly suitable for internal combustion engines in motor vehicles.

Abstract: A method of forming a knitted body part of a knitted wear which includes knitting an integral pocket while knitting the body portion. A flat knitting machine with two pair of needle beds in a vertical direction is used. As soon as the body portion is knitted up to a predetermined position, the knitting machine is operated to branch out specific loops engaged with those knitting needles in a region corresponding to the predetermined width of a pocket.
Abstract: A grid for use to select and enter data into a computer, which comprises a planar surface on which selective elements, preferably consisting of beads, are movably mounted. Each element can be introduced onto the planar surface between a set of predetermined locations that preferably extend along a slot and each corresponds to one of the data to be entered. Each slot corresponds to a question. For each question, the grid offers several positions which correspond to a corresponding number of responses. Once all the responses are given, the grid can be read by a suitable reader connected to a microcomputer, the process being simple, fast, reliable and not expensive. The grid and its reader can be part of a kit also including a software to be inserted and used by the computer to which the reader is connected, for compiling the information that is transmitted to this computer by the reader.
Abstract: A fuel injection apparatus for internal combustion engines, having a pump piston, axially guided in a cylinder bore of a pump housing, driven in a reciprocating manner by a cam drive; the pump piston defines a pump work chamber with its face end. The pump work chamber communicates with an injection valve via a pressure conduit and fuel from a reservoir is fed in and removed via a fuel line that has a feed pump; the triggering of the supply onset and end of supply of the unit fuel injector is achieved by means of a magnet valve inserted in the feed line in the region of the pump housing. In order to prevent the deposit of dirt particles in the pump, the unit fuel injector has a fuel filter in the pump housing, which is inserted in a diversion chamber below the magnet valve, and upstream of which a baffle plate is provided in the direction of the magnet valve to protect the filter from the intense diversion stream.
Abstract: An injection valve, having a valve closing member comprising a method for producing a nozzle holder for an armature and a valve closing body, disposed within a nozzle holder. The nozzle holder has a bore which is provided with at least one guide protrusion on end and that extends at least partway around the bore. The guide protrusion is stamped into a guide segment of the nozzle holder. The injection valve is especially suited for fuel injection systems of mixture-compressing internal combustion engines with externally supplied ignition.
Abstract: The invention sets forth a fuel injection pump inserted into a housing of an internal combustion engine and comprising a single pump element that supplies a cylinder of the engine with fuel. The pump element comprises a pump body, which has a cylinder bore in which a pump piston, which defines a pump work chamber in the cylinder bore is axially guided and is moved back and forth by a cam drive counter to the force of a restoring spring. For simple manufacture of the pump body with great strength and tightness, this pump body is divided into a rotationally symmetrical cylinder liner and a rotationally symmetrical intermediate part, which are axially braced in line with a magnet valve via a resilient sleeve.
Abstract: An apparatus for receiving and dispensing flat articles, particularly folded boxes in a packaging machine including a conveyor system extending substantially in the horizontal plane, and a vertical dispensing chute. To increase the supply of folded boxes, in order to achieve longer reloading intervals between reloading operations, three storage apparatus are disposed above the conveyor system. Each of the storage apparatus has one support that can be lowered into the plane of the conveyor system, and a selection from among these storage apparatus is made by a control device, from signals from fill level sensors and feed sensors.
Abstract: A brush mounting structure for a cutting support surface in an automatic cutting machine capable of dismounting a desired damaged brush out of plural brushes mounted on the cutting surface and disposed in parallel on the brush mounting table. The invention comprehends allowing one to replace the removed brush with a new brush, or alternatively, to fill the gap caused by removal of a damaged brush on the brush mounting table by sliding the remaining brushes together and placing the new brush on the end of the existing brush group. In that way, the worn bristles of the used brushes are maintained at a more uniform operational height than were a new brush with longer bristles interposed therebetween.

Abstract: The invention relates to a check valve, for use as an insert check valve, with a valve seat and a valve element that is resiliently prestressed against the valve seat by a valve spring. According to the invention, a retaining element embodied as a retaining bracket is provided, which supports the end of the valve spring remote from the valve element and the retaining element can be locked resiliently to a recess, particularly an annular groove, of the valve housing. This enables fast, simple assembly of the check valve from its individual parts.
