  • Patent number: 7545778
Abstract: A transceiver using composite beamforming technique is provided wherein a first communication device has a plurality of antennas and the second communication has a plurality of antennas. When the first communication device transmits to the second communication device, the transmit signal is multiplied by a transmit weight vector for transmission by each the plurality of antennas and the transmit signals are received by the plurality of antennas at the second communication device. The optimum transmit weight vector and receive weight vector for communication between the first and second communication devices is determined so that there is effectively joint or composite beamforming between the communication devices.

  • Patent number: 7545846
Abstract: A code division multiple access communication system transmits a pilot and traffic signal over a shared spectrum. The pilot and traffic signal have an associated code and are received over the shared spectrum. The received signals are sampled and the samples are delayed to produce a window. A weighted value for each despread pilot code window sample is determined using an adaptive algorithm. Each window sample is despread with a traffic code. Each despread traffic code window sample is weighted according to a weight corresponding to its respective pilot code sample.

  • Patent number: 7542777
Abstract: A system and a method of controlling transmitter power in a wireless communication system in which user data is processed as a multirate signal in which the user data signal having a first rate is converted into a transmission data signal having a faster second rate for transmission. The transmission power is adjusted on a relatively slow basis based on quality of data received by a receiver of the transmitted data. The transmitter power is determined as a function of the first and second rates such that a change in the data rate in the multiple channels or the rate of the transmission data signal is compensated in advance of a quality of data based adjustment associated with such data rate change. Preferably, the user data signal having the first rate is converted into the transmission data signal having the second faster rate by repeating selected data bits whereby the energy per bit to noise spectrum density ratio is increased in the transmission data signal.

  • Patent number: 7542771
Abstract: The delivery of content across a wireless communication link is based on a mobility state associated with a wireless transceiver. The system employs pricing tiers, which represent each subscriber's mobility-based privileges to specific content. That is, a mobile user can be charged a premium to maintain the same quality of service as a stationary user. The impact of mobility is thus felt by the mobile subscriber, either by experiencing reduced bandwidth or through higher subscription fees. By limited content delivery, the impact of motion and similar phenomenon on the wireless resources as a whole can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 7536963
Abstract: A monitoring device (15) for monitoring the needle thread (9) on a sewing machine (1) is provided which includes a regulator spring (25) with at least one cam switch (39) being connected thereto in a rotational manner. In case of changing thread tension and/or thread consumption the cam switch (39) and/or the detection zones (41) embodied thereat passes through a sensor (45) with two sensor areas (a, b). Here, not only the presence and absence of the cam switch (39) can be detected but also a direction of motion and the speed of motion. From these measurements conclusions can be drawn on various parameters of the needle thread (9).

  • Patent number: 7537001
Abstract: A toy gun that uses air to launch an elongated dart having a rear bore. The toy gun barrel defines a chamber adapted to receive the elongated dart. The barrel has an inner surface which forms a restriction proximate to the second end. The restriction reduces a barrel cross-section. The barrel receives an end portion of the elongated dart therein so that the pressurized air initially pressurizes the rear bore of the elongated dart and pressurizes the chamber outside of the elongated dart between a first barrel end and the restriction as the dart is launched.

  • Patent number: 7539346
Abstract: There is provided a H.264 decoding method for fast CAVLC, which searches multiple tables effectively and fast to obtain coefficients for CAVLC blocks within the shortest period of time such that a decoder with excellent efficiency can be designed for low frequency. The H.264 decoding method for fast CAVLC includes: a first step of obtaining the number of ‘0’s including the firstly inputted bit ‘0’ to the bit ‘0’ right before the bit ‘1’ firstly appearing to obtain a row index value; a second step of obtaining a fix index indicating the first bit ‘1’; a third step of obtaining a column index indicating a bit stream other than the row index and fix index; and a fourth step of obtaining a total coefficient and trailing ones T1s corresponding to the row index value and the column index value.

  • Patent number: 7539262
Abstract: A method and apparatus for performing chip level equalization (CLE) using joint processing to enhance performance and system throughput using a transmitter having a plurality of transmit antennas and a receiver having a plurality of receive antennas. A channel response matrix is formed between the transmit antennas and the receive antennas to generate a joint channel correlation matrix between the transmit antennas and the receive antennas using a block-FFT (B-FFT) decomposition of the channel response matrix. Estimates of transmitted chip sequences from each of the transmit antennas are generated using minimum mean square error (MMSE) and the joint channel correlation matrix are combined. The combined estimate of the transmitted chip sequences are despread to recover transmitted data.

  • Patent number: 7536891
Abstract: A roll-forming or bending machine is provided for forming an angled or rounded and simultaneously tapered hollow body or similar workpiece from a material blank. The machine has at least one tapered roll and at least one counter element, between which a forming pressure can be applied to the material blank. The one counter element has an elastic surface and is constructed as a bending table for supporting the material blanks, so that the one or more rolls apply forming pressure on the material blank on the bending table. The bending table is guided so that it can move in the longitudinal direction and can rotate about a rotational axis, and the rolls can move perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, allowing a change in the relative position of the roll and rotational axis of the bending table caused by a rotational movement of the bending table to be compensated.
