Abstract: A system and method to enable reading from non-volatile memory (NVM) devices is described. In one embodiment, the method includes setting a sensing parameter used to read data stored in a NVM device, reading from pluralities of locations of the NVM device with the sensing parameter set at the first value. The locations of the NVM device store an identical value. The method also includes verifying whether the identical value is read correctly from the locations of the NVM device. The method also includes setting the sensing parameter to a second value when the identical value is not read correctly with the sensing parameter set at the first value. The method further includes determining a third value for the sensing parameter from the identical value and setting the sensing parameter to the third value when the identical value is read correctly.
Abstract: Apparatuses and methods of mutual-capacitance sensing with a capacitance-sensing circuit, such as a self-capacitance sensing device (CSD). One apparatus includes an input node coupled to a capacitance sense pin to couple to a first electrode of a sense array, a transmit (TX) signal generation circuit to generate a TX signal to drive a second electrode of the sense array, logic circuitry coupled to the TX signal generation circuit and the input node. The logic circuitry is configured to selectively couple a first capacitor to the input node and a second capacitor to the input node timed with the TX signal. The apparatus further includes an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) coupled to receive a receive (RX) signal from the input node and to convert the RX signal into a digital value, the digital value representing a mutual capacitance between the first electrode and the second electrode.

Abstract: Techniques for correcting tail effect are described herein. In an example embodiment, a device comprises a sensor coupled with a processing logic. The sensor is configured to measure a plurality of measurements from a sensor array, where the measurements are representative of a conductive object that is in contact with or proximate to the sensor array. The sensor array comprises RX electrodes and TX electrodes that are interleaved without intersecting each other in a single layer on a substrate of the sensor array. The processing logic is configured to determine a set of adjustment values that correspond to a tail effect associated with the measurements, and to generate adjusted measurements based on the set of adjustment values, where the adjusted measurements correct a parasitic signal change of the tail effect.

Abstract: A first plurality of contact locations may be determined in view of a first scan of a touch-sensing surface and a second plurality of contact locations may be determined in view of a second scan of the touch-sensing surface. A number of total contact locations may be identified in view of the first plurality of contact locations and the second plurality of contact locations. Furthermore, a first correlation process may be performed when the number of total contact locations satisfies a threshold number and a second correlation process may be performed when the number of total contact locations does not satisfy the threshold number.
