Abstract: The present invention provides compounds of the formula, ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is alkyl (C.sub.1-5),R.sub.2 is alkyl (C.sub.1-5),R.sub.3 is hydrogen or halogen, and either each of R.sub.4 and R.sub.5 is hydrogen, orR.sub.4 and R.sub.5, together, are a bond,Which are useful as sleep-inducing and sleep-prolonging agents.
Abstract: The present invention concerns certain novel compounds falling under the general formula: ##STR1## WHEREIN R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are substituents, e.g. alkyl and Me is hydrogen or a metal cation.The compounds are useful stabilizers of organic material against the degradative effect of heat, oxidation and U.V. light.

These dyes build up excellently and yield dyeings which are fast to thermofixation, sublimation, pleating, ozone, rubbing, gas fumes, water, sea water, perspiration, alkali and washing.

Abstract: Solutions of certain hydrogenated ergopeptide alkaloids in mixtures of pharmacologically acceptable alcohols and water have improved stability. Preferred solvents are mixtures of ethanol, propylene glycol and glycerol containing from 15-40% wt. of water and having dielectric constants between 34 and 46. With these solutions it is not essential to carry out the filing operation under an inert atmosphere.
