Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for monitoring and regulating physiological states and functions are disclosed. Several embodiments include application of one or more microelectrode arrays to a dorsal root ganglion for measurement of sensory neuron activity, or stimulation of sensory reflex circuits. The methods and apparatuses can be used, for example, for monitoring or controlling bladder function in a patient.

Abstract: A field effect transistor including a substrate; a monolayer of a single crystal semiconducting transition metal dichalcogenide (TMD) on the substrate; a source contact and a drain contact to the strained monolayer; and a gate contact on the substrate; wherein the a gate voltage applied to the gate contact with respect to the source contact modulates a ferroelectric response of the monolayer when strained and a current through the monolayer between the source contact and the drain contact; and wherein the substrate is rigid and the monolayer experiences asymmetric lattice expansion when strained against the rigid substrate in response to an external magnetic field or the substrate is a strain engineered substrate inducing asymmetric lattice expansion of the monolayer.

Abstract: A system for Multi-Party Computation (MPC) includes a general-purpose programming language, an MPC processor, an MPC Instruction Set Architecture (ISA), and a compiler. The general-purpose programming language is used for writing an MPC application. The MPC processor executes the MPC application. The MPC ISA corresponds to the MPC processor. Abstract: Methods and systems are directed to protect a target logic circuit against optical probing attacks and conceal a logic state in the target logic circuit. The method comprises designing a concealing logic circuit. The concealing logic circuit can be coupled to complement of input signals of the target logic circuit, inserted as neighbor logic circuit of the target logic circuit, and placed in close optical proximity to the target logic circuit. The concealing logic circuit can operate in the opposite operation mode or logic state of the target logic circuit in response to the complement of the input signals to the target logic circuit. The method can further comprise designing an evaluation circuit that generates the complement of the input signals and minimizes a path delay between the target logic circuit input and the concealing logic circuit input.

Abstract: A composition, method of treating inflammation or edema, and method of increasing transdermal permeation and flux of at least one cannabinoid is presented. Abstract: The present invention provides a model for high-throughput screening of endocrine disruptors and a method for screening the same. In the present invention, primary structural alerts, secondary structural alerts and tertiary structural alerts of compounds are extracted according to a nuclear receptor, and then the primary structural alerts, the secondary structural alerts and the tertiary structural alerts form a nuclear receptor high-throughput screening model; hierarchical structural alert matching is carried out on target compounds through the nuclear receptor high-throughput screening model, and ligand-receptor binding mode analysis and semi-quantitative prediction of binding activity and disrupting activity are performed.
Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a method for preparing a green slow-release preservative paper used for fruit and vegetable preservation. The method includes: step 1, preparing a core paper loaded with biological preservative; step 2, preparing a base membrane loaded with fruit and vegetable respiration inhibitor; and step 3, heating and pressing the core paper loaded with biological preservative and the base membrane loaded with fruit and vegetable respiration inhibitor to obtain the green slow-release preservative paper. The present disclosure uses a biological preservative as a main material and an absorbent paper or a non-woven fabric as an auxiliary material to prepare the green slow-release preservative paper used for fruit and vegetable preservation through a layer-by-layer film covering method.

Abstract: Methods and systems to validated physiologic waveform reliability and uses thereof are provided. A number of embodiments describe methods to validate waveform reliability, including blood pressure waveforms, electrocardiographic waveforms, and/or any other physiological measurement producing a continuous waveform. Certain embodiments output reliability measurements to closed loop systems that can control infusion rates of cardioactive drugs or other fluids in order to regulate blood pressure, cardiac rate, cardiac contractility, and/or vasomotor tone. Further embodiments allow for waveform evaluators to validate waveform reliability based on at least one waveform feature using data collected from clinical monitors using machine learning algorithms.
