  • Patent number: 10802557
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses and methods may provide for technology that supplements a battery coupled to a processor configuration with stored energy from a charger input, wherein the battery is supplemented with the stored energy in response to an increased power demand on the battery. The technology may also initiate one or more throttle operations in the processor configuration if the increased power demand does not end before the stored energy is depleted. If the increased power demand ends before the stored energy is depleted, the one or more throttle operations may be bypassed. The increased power demand may correspond to a system voltage being below a voltage threshold, a battery current being above a current threshold, and so forth.

  • Patent number: 10795405
Abstract: A method for counting a service duration of time measurement on a clock signal including periodic transitions and for determining an actual duration (tmr) of measurement as a function of the service duration, the signal having undergone spectrum spreading according to a periodic variation algorithm causing a frequency modulation of the clock transitions of the signal and creating a difference between actual duration (tmr) and service duration. There are counted during successive time increments at least service times for starting (t_d_s) and stopping (t_a_s) and, on the basis of these times, there are determined actual times for starting and for stopping (t_d, t_a) serving for the calculation of the actual duration of measurement (tmr) as a function of the parameters of the variation algorithm. The invention also relates to a method of continuous compensation of the error between actual and service durations.

  • Patent number: 10782769
Abstract: A communication device includes a communication circuit and circuitry. The communication circuit executes a function related to communication. The circuitry detects an input signal input to the communication circuit, transitions the communication device between a first power state, and a second power state in which the communication device consumes less power than in the first power state, and changes a clock frequency of the communication circuit. When the input signal is detected in the second power state of the communication device, the circuitry changes the clock frequency of the communication circuit while maintaining the second power state.

  • Patent number: 10776493
Abstract: Secure management of computing code is provided herein. The computing code corresponds to computing programs including firmware and software that are stored in the memory of a computing device. When a processor attempts to read or execute computing code, a security controller measures that code and/or corresponding program, thereby generating a security measurement value. The security controller uses the security measurement value to manage access to the memory. The security measurement value can be analyzed together with integrity values of the computing programs, which are calculated while holding the reset of the processor. The integrity values indicate the validity or identity of the stored computing programs, and provide a reference point with which computing programs being read or executed can be compared. The security controller can manage access to memory based on the security measurement value by hiding or exposing portions of the memory to the processor.
