  • Patent number: 7415760
Abstract: A wiring block pre-forms a cable end having twisted wires for subsequent installation of a plug on the cable end. A back end of the block leading to a cavity within the block receives the cable end such that a cable portion adjacent to the cable end sits inside the cavity. A front end of the block has pass holes leading to troughs extending through the block between the cavity and the front end. The troughs receive the wires at the cable end with the wires protruding from the holes. When the cable end is inserted into the block the wires at the cable end have a length within the troughs corresponding to the plug trough lengths and a configuration within the troughs corresponding to the plug trough configuration with the cable portion adjacent to the cable end having a length within the cavity corresponding to the plug cavity length.

  • Patent number: 7412765
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a sticker type antenna, in which a copper foil of 0.017 mm by thickness is stuck to a layer of releasable film in advance, in order that the copper foil can bear the pulling force in a brush electroplating process to thereby substitute the conventional beryllium copper of a larger thickness. The copper foil after brush electroplating undergoes punching and cutting for forming a pattern and is stuck to a semi-finished product of Mylar, hence the copper foil is stuck onto the back side of the Mylar layer; then the Mylar layer with the copper foil is separated from the releasable film, then the back side of the Mylar layer is applied with adhesive and again is stuck to the releasable film; after punching and cutting the Mylar layer for patterning and edging, a sticker type antenna is made.

  • Patent number: 7384433
Abstract: A compressible and deformable layer is densified and laminated to a layer of a material that is relatively resistant to stretching. The densification and bonding take place in a single step. As used in fabrication of electrodes, for example, electrodes for double layer capacitors, a deformable and compressible active electrode film is manufactured from activated carbon, conductive carbon, and a polymer. The electrode film may be bonded directly to a collector. Alternatively, a collector may be coated with a wet adhesive layer. The adhesive layer is subsequently dried onto the foil. The dried adhesive and foil combination may be manufactured as a product for later sale or use, and may be stored as such on a storage roll or other storage device. The active electrode film is overlayed on the metal foil, and processed in a laminating device, such as a calender. Lamination both densifies the active electrode film and bonds the film to the metal foil.

  • Patent number: 7370414
Abstract: Methods of manufacturing lead frame connectors for use in connecting optical sub-assemblies to printed circuit boards in optical transceiver modules. The lead frame connectors are formed by first stamping a selected configuration of conductors in a conductive ribbon. The conductors are bent as necessary and passed in a reel-to-reel manner through an insert injection molding process to form an electrically insulating casing about the conductors. After the molding process, the ribbon is singulated to obtain individual lead frame connectors. The individual conductors encased in the casing can be electrically separated by punching out a connecting conductive structure through a hole formed in the casing. The connecting conductive structure mechanically secures the conductors to each other during the molding process and, when punched out, substantially eliminate stubs that could otherwise degrade the RF performance of the lead frame connectors.
