Abstract: An apparatus and system for housing a device include a housing that is configured such that a device may be fitted within the housing and thereby be protected, such as from shocks and/or liquid. The housing may include top and bottom members that may be removably coupled together so as to form the housing. Each top and bottom member optionally includes front and back surfaces surrounded by a perimeter. The perimeter is defined by proximal and distal ends as well as opposing sides. The top and bottom members may include respective clasping mechanisms that extend along the perimeter of the top and bottom members. The clasping mechanisms are configured for coupling the top and bottom members with one another thereby sealing the housing, for instance, in a shock-proof and/or water tight seal.

Abstract: A protective cover for a camera having a lens and an image viewer, the protective cover comprises a molded elasticized housing forming a chamber having a body shaped portion and a lens shaped portion for receiving the camera and lens respectively. The housing has at least one opening with a peripheral edge. A fastening system is provided for the opening. The fastening system has an internal fastener attachable to a part of the camera and an external fastener attachable to the internal fastener. The internal fastener and external fastener capture therebetween the peripheral edge of the lens opening when secured to each other, and the external fastener is being movable from a rest view position to to an alternate view position to view a wider area of the camera or lens.

Abstract: This disclosure relates generally to an apparatus for housing electronic devices. It introduces a modular form factor for utilizing tablet computers as components within fixed computer terminals. The one-piece housing is surface mounted, and is flared toward one end, assisting sound emanation as an acoustic horn, with its viewing face angled. The tablet is affixed within, with its screen viewable through the housing's wide window aperture, and its manual controls remain accessible through the open bottom. The housing can completely surround a standard power outlet above counter tops, for protection and to minimize and conceal associated cabling. Components are largely fastened and assembled into the device using industrial mounting tape. The housing's voluminous interior can accommodate additional modular components such as a power distribution hub, speakers and other electronic devices.

Abstract: A shell can be conformally disposed over at least a majority of a backside of the housing of an electronic device of interest. By one approach this shell comprises, at least in part, a plastic interior and an antimicrobial metal exterior that covers at least a majority portion of the backside of the electronic device. The shell can be configured, for example, to snap-fit onto such a housing to thereby secure the shell in place during use and transit.

Abstract: A protective case for electronic equipment is used to dissipate heat of electronic equipment. The protective case contains a body including a through hole defined therein and a metal plate disposed in the through hole, a Nano heat dissipation layer formed on a back surface of the metal plate, such that the electronic equipment retains with a protective case and contacts with the metal plate. The metal plate has an external rim retained in the body. The body also includes a recess defined thereon, and the metal plate adheres with the recess. The protective case also contains a dissipating piece, and a back surface of the dissipating piece connects with a front surface of the metal plate, a front surface of the dissipating piece contacts with the electronic equipment.

Abstract: An apparatus for housing and displaying a portable electronic device includes a housing having a window sized to display a portion of a screen of a portable electronic device disposed within the housing. The apparatus also includes a first recess disposed in the housing, the first recess sized and configured to hold a stylus at a first angle relative to the housing. The apparatus also includes a second recess disposed in the housing, the second recess sized and configured to hold the stylus at a second, different angle relative to the housing.

Abstract: A personal boat carrying apparatus is provided for supporting a kayak or similar boat on a user during a portage to make portaging a kayak easier and less uncomfortable. The apparatus is lightweight but durable and has a body with a curved and arched center portion for resting on the shoulders of a user carrying the kayak, and two opposite body ends. Each body end has a support arm which pivots from a closed position to one or more open positions. The pivoting support arm provides multiple open positions to allow the apparatus to support kayaks and similar boats of different widths and configurations. Each support may have a swiveling bracket for engaging the gunwale of the cockpit of the kayak or similar boat. When the support arms are in the closed position, the apparatus may be compactly stored in the boat or elsewhere.

Abstract: A case for a portable electronic device includes a back wall with front face, a rear face and an outer edge. A containment wall extends forward from the front face around at least a portion of the outer edge of the back wall and is configured to hold the portable electronic device within the case by friction. The containment wall includes an unobscuring free end such that an entire front surface of the portable electronic device is unobscured from view when held within the case.

Abstract: A tablet bumper assembly is disclosed. According to one embodiment, an apparatus includes a bumper assembly having a first opening, a second opening, and a first protruding region at a first corner, where the first opening is configured to position the bumper assembly around a peripheral edge of a tablet computer, the second opening is configured to expose a display screen of the tablet computer, and the first protruding region prevents the tablet computer from lying flat on a support surface to allow air-cooling of the tablet computer.

The pole hook is rotated so that the inner surfaces of the central aperture grip the pole hook. The load-bearing pole can then be ergonomically transported by lifting the sling. To disengage the pole hook from the load-bearing pole, the pole hook is rotated to distance the inner surface from the pole.

A first side edge of the cover is attached parallel to a base portion of an attachment mechanism for attaching the cover to an article. The attachment mechanism further includes an arcuate upper portion, and a pivotal gate between the base portion and the arcuate upper portion. The base portion of the attachment mechanism is configured such that, when the upper arcuate portion is suspended from an article, e.g., a belt loop, purse strap or the like, the base portion and the parallel first side edge of the cover are suspended at an arcuate angle with respect to vertical, of 30 degrees to 45 degrees. This angle and the configuration of the attachment mechanism to the cover makes the mobile telephone easily removable from the cover.

Still further embodiments are directed to a handle and strap system for a vest or other garment that permits a quick rescue of a person wearing the vest.

Abstract: In one embodiment, an apparatus to carry a portable device comprises a brace body, an adjustment mechanism coupled to the brace body, and a locking mechanism coupled to the brace body. The adjustment mechanism is configured to adjust the apparatus for an adjusted fit and to retain the adjusted fit for the apparatus when not in use. The locking mechanism is configured to conform to a locked state to configure the apparatus for a bracing fit and to conform to an unlocked state to configure the apparatus for a relaxed fit. The bracing fit is configured to brace the apparatus at a usage position, and the relaxed fit permits positioning of the apparatus relative to the usage position.

An attachment screw includes a recessed socket with a detent to releasably retain a ball-end hex driver such that the driver can remain coupled to the attachment screw without force being applied by the user. Also, a handheld device includes a driver having a handle portion and a driver shaft extending therefrom, the driver shaft having a driver portion at a distal end, and a vibration sensor support configured to support the vibration sensor such that the driver portion has access to an attachment screw threaded through the vibration sensor, and coupled to the driver such that the vibration sensor support is rotatable around a longitudinal axis of the driver shaft and slidable along a longitudinal portion of the driver shaft.

Abstract: A munitions carrier. The carrier securely retains a magazine and provides for rapid deployment of the magazine. The carrier is box-like and has one or more open ends. Four faces are sized and shaped to engage the four longitudinal faces of a magazine. The carrier has inside contours which can engage a complementary area of the outfeed end of a magazine. The carrier made from a material is flexible and has memory for returning to a configuration for retaining a magazine. At least two faces are discontiguous with each other and can be separated from each other. A retained magazine can be disengaged from the carrier and rapidly deployed if a multi-vectored force is applied to the magazine.

Abstract: Wearable packages for consumable products and methods for using same are provided. In a general embodiment, the wearable packages include a first compartment for housing a product and a second compartment for housing a bi-stable band. The wearable packages provide several advantages and benefits including, but not limited to convenient carrying and handling of consumable products and easy two-, one-, or no-handed access to products contained within the wearable packages.

The groove, slide member and latch device releasably mount the cowling member to the frame member.

Abstract: The subject matter discloses an apparatus, having an envelope and a base for holding a grenade, a rear cover connected to the envelope for attaching said envelope to a vest; a top cover to secure the grenade from above when positioned in a downward position and moving upwards to an upward position; a spring connected to the top cover and to the envelope and a button that causes the top cover to move to the upward position when pressed by the user. The button is located below the top cover and connected only to one of the envelope or the rear cover. The user of the apparatus can release the grenade from the apparatus while pressing the button and the envelope is designed to enable the user to hold the grenade and the grenade lever singlehandedly when pressing the button and when releasing the grenade from the apparatus.

Abstract: A water-resistant cover consisting of three components: a soft, form-fitting shell, a plastic slider and a plastic end cap. The shell does not inhibit the functionality of peripheral controls and includes fully integrated polycarbonate windows that are thermally and mechanically bonded to the shell in the molding process, the windows being adapted to the specific contour and profile of the device and to protect the device's screen while not inhibiting the functionality of a touch-screen, keypad or acoustic devices. The slider is slidably connected to the cover for closing the audio jack aperture in the shell with a double closure to maintain a water-resistant seal when not in use. The end cap closes the cover with reciprocal seals that are molded into both components and the cap is easily removed for access to a data port or charger and is enhanced with water-resistant acoustic vents that provide sound clarity to speakers or microphones.

Abstract: Described is a load-bearing support apparatus and system including an upper and lower support element adapted to rotate about one or more axes. The support elements can each further include support couplings. The apparatus can further include first and second support elements that can be adapted to bear the weight of a load along vertical and horizontal axes, respectively. The apparatus can include a mounting support element that can include upper and lower load connectors that can further be coupled to the load. The upper and lower load connectors can each be coupled to the upper and lower support couplings, respectively, in a ball-and-socket joint configuration. Because the ball-and-socket joints can create an articulating motion based on an operator's movement, the support apparatus can increase an operator's range of motion resulting in greater comfort and less fatigue while supporting the load.

Abstract: Tourniquet holsters for accessibly supporting tourniquets on supporting articles, the holsters including sleeves extending longitudinally around sleeved regions. The sleeves may define sleeve openings configured to slidingly receive forward portions of tourniquets, rear walls extending laterally across portions of the sleeved regions, first side flanges extending from first sides of the rear walls, and second side flange extending from second sides of the rear walls. The first side flanges and the second side flanges may collectively define sleeve channels. Some examples may include windlass retainers configured to retain elongated windlass handles attached to the tourniquets. Some examples may include sleeves formed from a thermoplastic material including an acrylic-polyvinyl alloy.

The void approximately replicates the shape of the electronic device such that a face of the electronic device is not substantially surrounded by the body. The body has tabs configured to contact a portion of the face of the electronic device and hold the electronic device in the void such that it is held in place. The body has a flexible body portion, the flexible body portion defined by a cut in the body, dividing the body into a hinge portion and a main body. The hinge portion is configured to be flexed away from the main body to provide a direction that the electronic device is slidably removed.

Abstract: In another embodiment of the present invention, an organizer assembly includes an article holding body and a mounting structure. The article holding body has a first body segment, a second body segment and a hinge segment connected between the first body segment and the second body segment. The first body segment, the second body segment and the hinge segment jointly define opposing major faces of the article holding body. An ammunition magazine holding structure, a shotgun shell holding structure, an article containment pocket and a canister holding structure are provided on a first one of the opposing major faces. The mounting structure is selectively attachable to and detachable from the first body segment at a second one of the opposing major faces.

Abstract: A bag or pack for transporting material, which may include air tank bottles, rope, and/or other firefighting gear. The bag may be used in multiple different ways, but may be especially configured to rest on top of a primary air tank worn by the user and to avoid falling between that tank and the user's back. Pockets in the bag may allow the user to install bottles in an upright or inverted configuration, which may aid the user in quickly determining which bottles are usable. Bag may free up the user's hands, allowing him to carry extra gear and requiring further trips from a supply source to a staging area, which may be several floors up, e.g., in the case of a high rise environment.

In some embodiments, the cushion may protrude through a bottom surface of the holster to provide a nonslip foot when the holster is used as a stand support for the device.

Abstract: Holders for supporting portable handheld electronic devices, such as but not limited to iPhones®, IPODS®, IPADS™, cellular phones, and the like. Another embodiment has a portable handheld electronic device holder with a built on bottle opener, where the bottle opener in the outer face of a slightly raised box shape on the upper back of the case. The bottle opener can also be attached to a tab that slides in and out of the casing when needed. The bottle opener can include one or a pair of upwardly extending triangular tabs (with blunt tips) that can be used to pry open can tabs on soda and beer cans. A belt clip adapter can snapably fit into the bottle cap opener to allow the holder to attach to belts and pockets. A spring biased version also allows the belt clip adapter to be attachable detachable from the bottle cap opener holders. The belt clip adapter can include a bendable disc(s) to fit into the bottle cap opener, or into a keyhole slot on the back of a case holder.

The bag has a large space to accommodate more articles. The engagement of the hook portion to magazine notch retains the magazine within the slot during movement of an individual wearing the magazine pouch. The shuttle can be slid out of engagement with the hook portion to disengage the hook portion from the magazine notch allowing removal of the magazine.

Abstract: The subject matter discloses an apparatus, including an envelope for holding a grenade, the grenade comprises a grenade lever and a grenade safety pin; an attaching utensil for attaching the envelope to a garment of a person; a safety lever container connected to the envelope, the safety lever container is configured to secure the grenade lever, such that the grenade is oriented in a predetermined direction and a ring holder connected to the envelope, the ring holder is configured to hold the safety pin, such that the safety pin is detached from the grenade responsive to removal of the grenade from the envelope.

Abstract: An attachment mount for removably attaching articles to a MOLLE/PALS-compliant garment or the like. The mount is unitary with openings for affixing an article. A pair of resiliently compressible outer tines with a barb are compressed inwardly to be inserted through a pair of adjacent loops in a first horizontal webbing and then into a vertically-aligned pair of adjacent loops in a second webbing. Upon exiting the loops of the second webbing, the barbs spring outwardly to catch upon a lower edge at spaced stitched areas of the second webbing. Inner tines are directed overtop of the first webbing and into the same loops in the second webbing occupied by the outer tines, with the stitched area between the loops straddled by the inner tines.

The two piece forming mold includes an upper section and a lower section having mating concave and convex surfaces. The upper section includes a deformable foam pad mounted to its concave inner surface and the lower section includes a deformable foam pad mounted atop its convex upper surface. The curvature of the mating concave and convex surfaces approximates the curvature of the average human hip. The foam pad mounted to the concave inner surface of the upper mold section is thicker than the foam pad mounted to the convex outer surface of the lower mold section.

Abstract: Holders for supporting portable handheld electronic devices, such as but not limited to iPhones®, IPODS®, IPADS™, cellular phones, and the like. An embodiment has an upper compartment on a backplate with sleeve edges that allow both a retractable cord and headpiece (earphones, headset) to be both stored inside when not being used. A spring loaded type rewinder on the backplate with sleeve edges automatically retracts both the cord and headpiece into the compartment where a hinge attached lid hides and protects both the cord and headpiece when not being used. The backplate with sleeve edges can include an internal inwardly protruding male prong that is attached to cord so that sliding the portable handheld electronic device into the sleeve edges plugs the prong into a female socket on the portable handheld electronics device, and sliding the device out removes the socket from about the male prong.

Abstract: A holster for securing an accessory device to a user includes a receiving body defining an interior space adapted to receive the device, and having two opposing open ends along an axis thereof, each allowing insertion and withdrawal of the device. Retaining means disposed in the body retain the device within the interior space, permitting withdrawal only upon application of an external force of a predetermined magnitude and in a direction along the axis of the receiving body. Attachment means on the body may detachably secure the receiving body to a user. In one embodiment, an elongate, flexible panel includes ends configured to releasably mate to form the body, and an attachment strap on the panel also includes mating ends, which, when mated, prevent the mated ends of the panel from disengaging. A magnet mounted on the panel magnetically engages and thereby retains the device held in the body.

Abstract: A lightweight, wearable container device made of fabric or like material that is designed to attach to any part of a user's clothing and is of sufficient dimensions to securely hold small personal effects, is provided. The device can be fabricated in different sizes suitable for holding household keys, car keys, credit cards, key cards, identification cards, employment cards, driver's licenses, insurance cards, medical instructions or special instructions. The reversibly attachable device is suitable for positioning at any desired location on a user's garment. Attachment means utilizing hook and loop mechanisms are provided.

Abstract: An auto-injection device holder includes a main body having at least a front wall, a back wall and a bottom wall, and an open top. The walls define a cavity for receiving at least partially therein at least one auto-injection device. An electrical circuit is mounted to the main body to provide information to a user of the auto-injection device holder. A switch is mounted on a wall of the main body and may be pressed by a user of the holder. The electrical circuit includes a read only memory having pertinent information stored digitally therein. When the switch is activated, the information stored digitally in the read only memory is converted to an analog signal which is provided to the speaker so that the user may hear the pertinent information, such as instructions on how to use the auto-injection device held by the holder.

Abstract: A food caddy device that allows the user to easily carry multiple sets of plates, bowls, and glassware with one hand, with no risk of spillage or alteration in appearance. The food caddy includes a support bracket, a plurality of trays vertically spaced on the support bracket, and a handle having a first section mounted on each one of the trays and a second section connected to the support bracket. The second section of the handle is connected at an angle with respect to the first section of the handle.

Abstract: A holster for a cutter apparatus includes a body sized to receive a cutter apparatus therein and configured to provide a cutter-holster interface that causes a component of the cutter apparatus to reposition in relation to a housing of the cutter apparatus as the cutter apparatus is pushed into the holster. The component (e.g., a blade depth selector) is automatically repositioned to a safe (or other predetermined) position in response to the cutter apparatus being pushed into the holster.

Abstract: The present invention provides methods and systems for a foldable bag that includes a rear wall part having a front side, a back side, and an interior side; a front wall part having a front side, a back side, and an interior side; a middle part having a front side, a back side, and an interior side. The front wall part is engaged to the middle part along a fold line, and the rear wall part is engaged to the middle part along a fold line. The foldable bag is moveable between a first position and a second position.

Abstract: A pouch for holding items is disclosed and is formed as a tube of a stretchable material with a plurality of openings therein. Items may be inserted through the openings and positioned within the pouch. The pouch may be manipulated to position the openings at various positions around the body. The openings may also be positioned on the outside, inside, top or other part of the pouch. The pouch has a substantially constant width to better camouflage items placed therein. The openings may include closures to prevent items from falling out. The pouch may be formed of a single circle or include closures for placing it around the body.
