Abstract: A mesh bag is provided for toys, laundry and beach use, and the like, which is formed of a tubular lower portion of a mesh material, and which has an open top, a closed bottom, and overlapping sides which form a side opening. A solid fabric upper portion of the bag is secured to the lower portion and surrounds the open top of the lower portion. The solid fabric upper portion extends across the top of the overlapping sides to assist in holding the side opening in a closed condition. A plastic tube is sewn to the upper rim of the upper portion, and it serves to flatten out the sides of the upper rim and hold the top of the bag closed. A pair of upwardly-extending loop handles are attached to the upper portion on opposite sides of the bag.
Abstract: A handle for plastic bags which include carrying loops, the handle composed of molded or extruded material having two transverse grooves and/or a longitudinal groove, each groove having a wide mouth, inwardly extending converging sides leading to a narrow channel and an enlarged opening thereafter. The handle having closure means at each end which may form other functions such as a whistle or flashlight. Transverse cavities are optionally formed on the upper and lower sides near ends of the body for receiving perpendicular thereto handles having similar cavities for interlocking therewith.
Abstract: A carrying handle assembly for bags having a flat bottom and more particularly for bags having a cross or block bottom, including two strips of material bent into an L-shape cross section in their position of use, of which the one portion of each strip extending generally in a single plane is bonded with the bottom of the bag and the other portion of each strip, which are arranged alongside of each other, are provided with a carrying handle part. In order to prevent the carrying handle part from being torn out from between the portions of the strips of material, even when subjected to a heavy load, the carrying handle part includes a strip bent into the form of a letter U, having two limbs interconnected by a crosspiece, whose limbs are bonded between and to the superposed portions of the strips of material, which are themselves bonded together.
Abstract: A packet which enables the user to attach a pair of carrying handles to a package and containing a pair of flexible cords and four plastic members each having a flat surface coated with an adhesive and provided with an adherent protective strippable plastic film thereover covering said surface, and an opposed surface, the opposed surface of each of said plastic members being provided with a raised portion having an opening therethrough for receiving an end of one of said flexible cords.
Abstract: The present invention relates generally to a thermoplastic packaging bag having a carrying handle and relates specifically to a packaging bag having a separate carrying handle. After the bag is loaded with product and closed, the closure securely attaches the handle to the bag.
Abstract: An inflatable container includes a plurality of vertical air conduits, a horizontal air conduit, and a one-way valve. A self-adhesive material may be formed on the container whereby upon inflating the container, the container self-stands and can be adhered to a wall or table.
Abstract: A packet which enables the user to attach a pair of carrying handles to a package and containing a pair of flexible cords, four pairs of adhesive tabs having adhesive surfaces on opposed sides thereof, protective strippable flexible plastic sheets covering said surfaces and extending slightly beyond the edge of the surfaces, and four thin rigid plastic sheets, the adhesive tabs preferably being slightly thicker than the diameter of the flexible cords.
Abstract: An information storage envelope for holding literature and mounting onto a sign post includes a first pocket which has an open top and a drainage mechanism. The first pocket includes indicia silkscreened thereon. A second smaller pocket has an open top and is attached to the first pocket. First and second straps are attached to the first pocket and each strap has first and second ends wherein the first and second ends include mating fastening elements. The straps are attached to the first pocket so as to allow fastening of the straps and pocket snugly about a post. A flap is attached to the top of the first pocket so as to provide closure for the openings of the first and second pockets. The flap also includes first and second mating flap fastening elements where the first fastening element is attached to the inside of the flap and the second mating fastening element is attached to the second smaller pocket and located so as to be aligned with the first fastening element when the flap is closed.
Abstract: A reusable bag includes a base. A plurality of side panels are affixed to the base and extend from the base in substantially the same direction. The base and sides of the reusable bag are formed of a semi-rigid form maintaining material which maintains its form while allowing each side and base to collapse upon itself.
Abstract: A flat, open handle clips onto the end of a bag such as, for example, a shrink-wrap plastic bag, for frozen poultry or similar frozen food items. The handle has an elliptical ring at one end through which the end of the bag fits, and is provided with flexible converging fingers to retain the bag within the ring once it is inserted. The gripping portion of the handle which the fingers of the user grip is at the opposite end. Relatively flexible arms interconnect the gripping portion and the ring. To strengthen the handles and also to guide the bag toward the ring after its end has been inserted in the opening in the handle, guides are provided. In one form of the invention the guides extend inwardly from each arm, then bend obliquely to merge with the retaining fingers. In another form of the invention the guides are thin ears which have rounded inner edges.

Abstract: A combination of a collapsible article made of flexible material with an attached storage pouch in which the pouch is integrally attached to the article. The article may be a collapsible bag or an article of clothing or the like. The storage pouch has a support wall and a panel attached on three sides to the support wall which together form a pocket-like opening. A locking flap is attached on one side to the panel and at two opposite ends to the panel and to the support wall. When the pouch is in an empty position the locking flap is inside the pouch secured between the panel and the support wall. When the pouch is turned inside out, the article may be collapsed and inserted into the pouch and the locking flap may be reversed to cover the opening of the pouch and secure the article therein.
Abstract: A flexible sterilized bag which easily unfolds to receive an x-ray cassette and is easily closed using a pressure-sensitive adhesive coating strip located around the bag. The bag is advantageously used in a surgical or operating room environment. The bag is composed of a sterilized bag portion, a cuff formed at the open end of the bag and a pressure-sensitive adhesive coating along the circumference near the open end of the bag. As the cassette is pushed into the bag the adhesive coating strip becomes reoriented so that the adhesive coating on one side of the bag directly faces the remaining adhesive coating on the other side of the bag. The open end of the bag is then sealed by simply pressing the opposing sides of the bag together at the location of the adhesive coating.

Abstract: A portable container is provided consisting of an encasing member arranged so as to form a space in which objects can be carried and a handle member, consisting of at least one handle loop of string or similar material, which is attached to the encasing member. Attachment of the handle loop is accomplished in part by inserting at least one section of the string or similar material between two material layers of the encasing member, which are joined together by means of adhesive, whereby a channel is created between the layers of material through which said section of the handle member extends and in part by the nonuniformity in cross sectional shape over the length of said string or similar material when positioned in said channel in the completed package and by giving the channel such a form, that its shape and dimensions at least to a certain extent follow said nonuniformity in the string.
Abstract: A bag or sack made of a non-rigid waterproof material is rendered unsinkable by the presence of floatation inserts. Should the bag fall into the water, it does not sink and may be recovered together with its contents. The floatation inserts are inserted inside longitudinal auxiliary pockets provided at the top wall of the bag in the space between the two handles. The handles are also preferably provided with floatation elements, so as to render the gripping of the bag which has fallen into the water easier.
Abstract: A paper bag is formed from a single sheet of paper by folding the same to produce a final generally rectangular bag or receptacle with an open end. The upper edge portion around the bag opening is folded in and glued to provide greater strength thereat. During the folding and glueing of this opening strength turned-in collar, two carrying handles are also glued in, one on each of the bag's largest sides. According to this invention, a corner portion at one end of the turned-in collar portion is cut out and enables glueing thereat to an inner surface rather than the typically smoother outer surface of the paper, thereby providing improved strength to the reinforced opening of the bag.
