Abstract: A method of manufacturing a toothbrush, including providing a bristle having a first opening, a second opening, and a lumen between the first and the second openings; contacting the first opening with a substance; applying a vacuum to the second opening thereby suctioning the substance into the lumen through the first opening to provide a bristle containing a substance; and attaching the bristle containing the substance to a toothbrush. A toothbrush including a plurality of bristles having fracturable walls for controllably releasing a substance from the bristles into the oral cavity is provided.

Abstract: A manual cup cleaning system including a base member. The base member has a plurality of suction members coupled thereto for releasably mounting the base member onto a receiving surface. A conical member is provided. The conical member has a top surface, a support member, and an intermediate portion therebetween. The support member is sized for positioning within base member. Lastly, a plurality of bristles are attached to the conical member and project outwardly from the top surface. The bristles are capable of engaging an inside bottom of a cup that is positioned over the conical member for cleaning.

Abstract: A foot brush for cleaning or scrubbing a user's feet has a body with a front portion and a rear portion. A soap locating region is disposed in the front portion, and at least one tuft of bristles is embedded within and projects from the front portion in the vicinity of the soap locating region. The tuft of bristles may partially surround the soap locating region in a substantially U-shaped formation. The soap locating region may be in the form of a cavity formed within the front portion which is adapted to receive and retain a bar of soap. A rear portion of the body is designed for anchoring by one of the user's feet while the other foot is scrubbed.

Abstract: A stain removal device and process sets forth a device and method which facilitates the removal of stains by employing a number of mutually beneficial structures and processes. A limited area of material is exposed to both the soap or other removal solution by encasing the limited area of material onto a washboard top surrounded by an "o" ring forming the lower portion of a sealing cap. The upper portion of the sealing cap has downward projections which both accommodate and grasp the surrounding material, but which also engage the lower portion of the sealing cap. The upper portion accommodates a downwardly directed and rotatable brush which is brought to bear on the stained area of material when the upper portion is engaged onto the lower portion of the sealing cap. The brush is rotatable to scrub the stained area of material, and has a central bore in fluid communication with the brush bristles.

Abstract: A multipurpose motorized cordless scrub cleaning machine is disclosed and is intended to reduce the effort in scrub cleaning jobs around the house or the work places for general cleaning by the usage of rotating pads or brushes. Water and detergent are conveniently supplied into the pads to clean dishes and perform scrub rinsing, too. It could also perform polishing and sanding jobs depending on the setting used in each function, and it could also carry an egg beater accessory.

Abstract: A brush curved having a brush head with a central portion from which extend two arm or wing portions. The wing portions extend away from the central portion at a separation angle of approximately 70.degree. to 90.degree., and preferably 75.degree. to 85.degree., and more preferably at an angle of 80.degree.. Extension of the wings away from a common side of the central portion forms a curved pocket or cup cleaning channel at one edge of the bristles or sponge-like material of the brush. This cleaning channel serves to funnel dirty water away from the contoured surface of an automobile being cleaned. Water is swept across the contoured surface, making drying of the contoured surface less of a chore.

Abstract: A toothbrush for cleaning and polishing teeth includes a handle attached to a brush head. Attached to the brush head is at least one prophy cup device for polishing teeth, and a plurality of bristle tufts for scrubbing teeth, the bristle tufts being attached to the brush head and placed about the perimeter of each prophy cup device.

Abstract: A disposable toothbrush comprising an elongate handle having a fingergrip at one end and a bristle-carrying head adjacent the other end of the handle. The handle has an elongate shallow recess which extends from the fingergrip to the head and which contains toothpaste covered by a thin flexible membrane. The membrane defines a blister cover or a capsule. The head has a corresponding passage extending between the handle and an opening at the base of the bristles where the toothpaste will be extruded in use.

Abstract: A toothbrush containing a hollow handle, a neck and a head. The hollow handle contains toothpaste and a compressible plastic pad. When pressure is applied to the plastic pad, toothpaste is forced from the hollow handle through a duct in the neck and out of openings between bristle tufts on the head. A self-adhering plastic cover covers the openings in the head to prevent crusting or the toothpaste. The plastic cover may be reapplied following use to allow for a plurality of uses before the toothbrush is discarded.

Abstract: A toothcare assembly includes a handle having a dental floss dispensing assembly on one end and tooth brushing bristles mounted thereon adjacent to a head end. A chamber for storing toothpaste is defined in the head end, and dispensing holes connect the chamber to the surface of the head adjacent to the bristles. A flexible diaphragm is mounted on the head adjacent to the chamber and, when pressed, forces toothpaste through the dispensing holes into contact with the bristles. A chamber closing element is slidably mounted on the head to cover the dispensing holes in the chamber to prevent toothpaste from moving through the dispensing holes, and is slidably moved out of hole-covering position when it is desired to dispense toothpaste.

Abstract: A hygienic toothbrush wherein the brush portion is carried in contact with a sterilizing solution after use. To avoid spillage, the sterilizing solution is contained in a small, replaceable, plastic container which is inserted into the back of the brush and perforated to release a small quantity of solution into a chamber in communication with the brush head during storage and transport thereof. Should damage occur to the brush and its carrier during the storage phase, only minimal spillage of the sterilizing liquid can occur. The toothbrush is made foldable to provide a small size for storage.

Abstract: A foldable toothbrush having a self contained toothpaste applicator. The packet of toothpaste being contained within a cavity formed in a forward member. The cavity is beneath the bristles and a pair of passageways extend from the cavity to the bristles. A pair of fins extend outward from a rear member which is pivotally connected to the forward member. When the toothbrush is in the folded position, the fins extend within the passageways to block the flow of toothpaste from the packet through the passageways. When the toothbrush is unfolded, the blocking fins are removed from the passageways, and the toothpaste packet may then be pressed to force toothpaste from the packet through the passageways into the bristles.

Abstract: A brush head mounted on a handle that is tubular and forms a reservoir for the toothpaste. The reservoir is closed to the brush head, and at its rear end has a nozzle. The handle includes a flexible member which is bent to move the nozzle onto the bristles of the brush head. A removable cap normally closes the nozzle. In one form an enclosure sleeve encloses the handle and flexible member. A cap is removably mounted over the brush head.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a toothbrush with a detachable dentifrice dispenser assembly. The brush includes a head portion with a centrally located aperture. The aperture communicates with a corresponding aperture located within the detachable dentifrice dispenser. The dispenser is adapted to be removably secured on the bottom surface of the toothbrush. In alternate embodiments, a plunger assembly is located in association with the dispenser to facilitate the dispensing of the dentifrice through the aperture in the head portion and into the bristles of the brush. Alternatively, the dispenser assembly can be removed and dentifrice can be delivered directly from the container through the head aperture and into the bristles of brush.

Abstract: A toothbrush comprises a handle having a first end and a second end. The handle has a recess disposed in the first end that includes at least one pair of grooves. The grooves increase in width from the first end to the second end. A container has a parametric wing. A strip is removably attached to the parametric wing. The parametric wing and the strip are received in the at least one pair of grooves. The strip comprises an elongated sheet of material that is folded over upon itself and includes an end portion which projects beyond the first end of the handle.

Abstract: A disposable teeth cleaning kit includes a finger mounted toothbrush having a substantially cylindrical elastic sheath with a closed end and an open end. The sheath can be provided with internal longitudinal torque ridges to prevent rolling of the sheath during use. Brush means is disposed on the sheath adjacent its closed end and the sheath is adapted to be furled into a compact configuration wherein the furled portion forms a substantially annular rim bounding an area spanned by the closed end portion of the sheath and the brush means. The brush means is sized and configured to be surrounded and protected by the rim during storage and can be sealed in a protective sterile pod if desired. In use, the toothbrush is unfurled onto a user's finger whereupon the finger is manipulated in the user's mouth to clean the teeth. When the teeth are cleaned, the brush is unfurled from the user's finger and discarded in an appropriate refuse receptacle.

Abstract: An anti-microbial composition includes particles having an outer surface onto which an anti-microbial agent has been adsorbed. The particles can be used, for example, for coating the bristles of toothbrushes.

Abstract: A comb for combing an individual's hair or scalp and applying a liquid to the individual's hair or scalp includes a reservoir connected to comb base and a plurality of comb teeth connected to the comb base. Liquid is disposed in the reservoir, passed through the comb base and through the comb teeth where the liquid is dispensed through the tooth outlets in the comb teeth. The reservoir, the comb base and the comb teeth are transparent so that the liquid and the dispensing of the liquid may be observed. The reservoir, the comb base and the comb teeth are constructed of a microwaveable material so that the comb may be disposed in a microwave for heating the liquid. The reservoir has a flat upper end so that the comb may be supported on the flat upper end of the reservoir in a storage position of the comb.

Abstract: The invention provides for a disposable toothbrush having a supply of dehydrated toothpaste adhered to a bristle portion attached to an upper member, detachable handle containing a supply of mouth rinse forming a lower member, a toothpick attached to the detachable handle, and a supply of dental floss wrapped around the toothpick. The toothbrush is especially simple in design, but nevertheless is adapted to furnish a complete dental hygiene kit. In the preferred embodiment, the toothbrush includes one and one half ounces of mouth rinse and eight inches of dental floss.

Abstract: A toothbrush cleaning system is incorporated within a toothbrush which consists of a system of conduits provided for forcing water from a water faucet to travel through the system to clean toothpaste and debris from bristle tufts of the toothbrush. The force of water is directed from within a bristle head of the toothbrush towards the bases of the bristle tufts where most of the toothpaste and debris accumulate, to properly clean the bristle tufts.

Abstract: An improved hair shampoo stimulator device is provided in which each bristle is shaped similar to a finger tip, for the purpose of safely stimulating the scalp of a person without damaging the hair.

Abstract: A squeegee-type cleaning device for washing windows and other structures has a holder with a brush, a support for the holder, a wiper blade adjacent the brush and a fluid supply connected by a hose to the holder. Apertures provided along the length of the holder allow fluid to be pumped from the supply along the entire length of the brush. A manually operated pump is provided to pump this fluid. The brush is pivotable relative to the support and a telescopic pole can be provided on the support to aid in cleaning of the structure.

Abstract: A dispenser having a hollow body to receive a flowable material. The body is generally conical and has a wider end and a narrower end. There is an outlet at the narrower end. A spiral conveyor within the hollow body is able to rotate relative to the body. Rotation of the spiral conveys material received in the body through the outlet. The spiral conveyor is generally conical and extends into a point adjacent the passageway. At least that part of the conveyor within the extension is a flexible resilient coil in contact with, or close to, the interior of the body adjacent the bristles. In the preferred embodiment, the dispenser is a toothbrush with bristles formed on the narrower end of the body and the outlet communicating with the bristles. There are various ways in which one handed operation of the dispenser can be achieved.

Abstract: A new and improved toothbrush construction comprising spaced groups of bristles extending from the head of the brush. In an alternative embodiment, the bristle groups are supported on slidable elements which may be adjustably positioned and then locked into place on the toothbrush head thereby permitting the spacing of the bristle groups to be varied in accordance with personal requirements. In yet another embodiment, the individual bristles are provided with longitudinally spaced conical protrusions for facilitating the delivery of a hygienic substance or dentifrice to the teeth.

Abstract: A squeezeable container for holding and dispensing decontaminating powder is disclosed. The squeezeable container comprises a brush assembly and gripping means. The brush assembly is attached to the top section of the container in a screw-like manner, and comprises a brush formed of bristles which have a portion that is heat set so as to be held together in a semi-rigid manner. The bristles are arranged to form a reservoir within the brush assembly. The reservoir has an exit section closed off by the semi-rigid bristles, and an entrance section closed off by a plug member. The gripping means has a first end attached to the plug member and a second end extending out of the semi-rigid bristles. The pulling of the gripping means removes the plug from the dispenser and opens the brush reservoir. A squeezing action of the container puffs the powder within the container into the brush reservoir, and movement of brush dispenses the powder over any designed contaminated area.

Abstract: A dispenser for a container of pipe sealant and the like comprising a dispensing closure for preventing the lateral spread of a compound contained by the container as it is dispensed and having a bristle assembly which prevents removal of the compound after it has been deposited and spread between the threads of a pipe.

Abstract: A disposable toothbrush which includes a tubular housing forming a handle and a telescopically slidable brush head carrier mounted in the housing. The brush head carrier includes a brush head with tapered plastic bristles which have a central cup position therein to receive dentifrice. The brush head is pivoted to the carrier and forms a closure for the end of the tubular housing when in retracted position. A wedge-shaped member on the brush head retains it in optimum brushing position. A retaining projection on the brush head retains the brush head in optimum brushing position and a latch structure retains the carrier in extended relation to the tubular housing. The brush head includes a removable bristle assembly to enable multiple use cycles of the toothbrush.

Abstract: A disposable toothbrush is provided and consists of an elongated tubular handle having a threaded aperture in a first end and a compartment therein and a brush member having a shaft with a head and bristles on a first end and threads on a second end. In one instance the brush member can be inserted into the compartment of the handle with the threaded second end engagable with the threaded aperture in the first end of the handle in a storage position. In another instance the brush member can be removed from the compartment of the handle and reversed with the threaded second end engagable with the threaded aperture in the first end of the handle in a useable position.

Abstract: A hair shampoo stimulator device is provided and consists of a rectangular frame slightly curved downwardly zigzag supports are affixed to and extend across the narrow portion of the frame in spaced apart relationships. Firm bristles are affixed to and face downwardly on each support. A shampoo solution dispenser is on the frame for dispensing the shampoo solution directly to a scalp of a person so that the bristles will foam the shampoo solution and massage the scalp to stimulate the hair roots.

Abstract: A one-piece closure cap for a dispensing container. The cap, which is captive on the container body, is threadedly mounted for restricted rotation on the neck of the container so that upon elevation of the cap there is established a product release passage from the mouth of the container through product discharge ports formed in a surmounting top wall of the cap. Mechanical stops are provided to limit the degree of threaded rotation of the closure cap on the neck of the container to preclude inadvertent separation of the cap from the body of the container. The container neck is also formed adjacent an upper end thereof with a radially outwardly extending annular sealing bead which engages and stressingly abuts a circumscribing facing inner wall of the cap to prevent contents of the container from contaminating the threads of the closure assembly.

Abstract: An apparatus wherein an elongate cylindrical housing mounts a first and second cylindrical cap respectively at opposed terminal ends of the housing. The housing includes as matrix of wire brushes orthogonally mounted to each end of the housing, with a first end including a projection for positioning within a side mount terminal battery, with the second end providing a cylindrical cavity for receiving a terminal for securement to the associated side mount battery. A modification of the invention includes a central reservoir receiving a cleaning solution that is selectively directed through each terminal end of the housing for enhanced cleaning of the associated battery and connector.

Abstract: A golf club handle renovating device for cleaning and for removing an outer, weather-hardened rubber surface of a golf club handle to expose an underlying supply rubber surface includes a tube containing a plurality of stiff plastic blades attached at one end to the inner surface of the tube. The blades project inwardly from the inner surface of the tube so that a second end of the blades define a longitudinal central void adapted to closely receive the handle therein.

Abstract: The invention provides a unit for cleaning, brushing, scouring, polishing and the like, comprising a handle terminating with a head, the head having a cleaning body extending from a surface thereof and a throughgoing aperture, and the unit further comprising an external paste-containing holder having a paste-dispensing nozzle, the handle and the holder having means for interlocking engagement with the dispensing nozzle in engagement with the aperture, for release of paste from the holder via the head to the cleaning body.

Abstract: A device for applying a powdery material, suitably make-up, comprising a casing (4) containing a powdery material reservoir (6) mounted displaceably with respect to the casing (4) and dismountably integral with an intermediate part (22) which is integral with an obturation element (16) forming valve (18). The obturation element (16) comprises a stem (17) of a length sufficient to have its free end (17a) accessible from outside the device when the reservoir (6) is dismounted. An easy-to-clean refillable device is thus provided, which facilitates changing the shade of the powder applied during use.

Abstract: A mop for removing waste liquid from a surface to be cleaned, the mop comprising a handle, a container means, for receiving liquid from the surface to be cleaned, being pivotable connected by a first pivot to one end of the handle, a first pad, having a cleaning surface, mounted on a first surface of the container, the cleaning surface being adapted for removing and retaining liquid from the surface to be cleaned upon contact therewith, the container being pivotable about the first pivot from a first stationary position, in which the first pad is located adjacent the surface to be cleaned, to a second stationary position, in which the first pad is located remote from the surface to be cleaned, for removal of liquid retained by the cleaning surface, and a wringing device, carried by the mop, for wringing waste liquid from the cleaning surface into the container when in the second position.

Abstract: An apparatus wherein an elongate, coaxially aligned housing is defined by a first chamber mounting a floor adjacent a lower terminal end of the housing, with the floor including a chamber floor underlying the floor, and a removable lid for rotatably mounting a dental floss spool therewithin. A piston is slidably mounted overlying and spaced from the floor to define a toothpaste chamber therebetween, wherein the piston mounts a dispensing boss, including a plurality of ports, wherein a plurality of spaced, parallel rails are diametrically mounted on the piston spaced from the dispensing boss, with a recess positioned within a top surface of the piston for receiving an upper terminal end of the toothbrush therebetween to position the toothbrush in alignment with the dispensing boss. A second chamber is fixedly mounted coextensively with the housing adjacent a side wall thereof for receiving the toothbrush therewithin.

Abstract: A dentifrice dispensing toothbrush is described which locks itself to prevent further pumping of dentifrice material when its replaceable supply cartridge is empty. The self locking mechanism eliminates the formation of voids in the material and consequent pump failure when the spent cartridge is replaced with a new one and material pumped therefrom. The toothbrush also includes a detachable brush head which is slidable to various positions to enhance cleaning after it is used.

Abstract: A car washing brush which can also be used as a duster removing dust on a car body is disclosed. Feather of waterfowls are utilized. A wax spray is applied to the feather of waterfowls when used for washing a car with water.

Abstract: A toothbrush has a head with tuft holes for the reception and retention of bristles therein. The tuft holes contain self-contained structures therein for the slow release of disinfectant or medication over repeated brushings. The release structure can be a capsule, a tablet, or a plurality of different timed-release microcapsules in the bottom of the tuft holes, or a coating of the agent formed on the anchor used to hold the bristles in the tuft holes.

Abstract: A water or liquid comb combination 10 with plural liquid distribution system consisting of an elongated reservoir 12 containing a plurality of compartments 14, 16 extending in the same direction as the elongated reservoir and each having an opening 22, 24 proximate a handle of the combination, a set of a plurality of hollow comb teeth 42, 44 extending from each of the plurality of compartments 34, 36, separately sized apertures 52, 54 for each set of the plurality of comb teeth for dispensing material/liquid conditioned on respective sizings of the separately sized apertures, material/liquid supply 34, 36 having a matching supply reservoir with an exit for each of the plurality of the compartment means of the elongated reservoir, and gate 26 disposed between the opening of the reservoir 12 and an operative ledge 28 of the exit of the supply 34, 36 for allowing for passage of a selected one of the supply 34, 36 to a selected compartment. The comb combination may be of plastic.

Abstract: The hand held shower apparatus of this invention includes a shower body having a hollow handle connectable at one end to a source of water and a shower head, water regulating means for regulating the supplied water into two different water streams, one with a showering effect and the other with a massaging effect, and a cap member having a perforated bottom surface with two groups of holes for the two water streams. The hollow handle is constructed in such a way that it can be extended by pulling it away from the shower head. The shower apparatus also has a shower utensil, such as a shower brush, connected with the cap member in such a way that the shower utensil moves up or down when rotated clockwise or counterclockwise with respect to the cap member. Construction of the shower apparatus has been made simple so that it can be assembled or disassembled with ease. Other embodiments of the shower utensil are also presented.

Abstract: A device having a removable insert such as a brush, massage element or pad for applying lotions, medicines, and the like to human body. The device includes an elongated handle having a receptacle end provided with opposed inwardly facing grooves. The removable inserts are generally rectangular in shape and include integral spring biased tabs at the sides thereof. Each tab is provided with a locking stud that is received in a correspondingly shaped recess in the grooves. Each insert may include a brush, massage element, or disposable pad.

Abstract: A paint applicator having a housing containing a paint bag, such housing having a flexible and removable face plate and a pressure plate adapted to apply pressure to the paint bag to force paint through openings in the bag aligned with openings in the face plate onto a paint pad for paint application.

Abstract: A disposable liquid applicator includes a plastic tube with a tapered neck portion. A brush holder is disposed in the neck portion and includes bristles extending outwardly therefrom. A cap is integrally formed with the neck of the tube and encloses the bristles. The neck includes an annular reduced thickness portion surrounding the brush holder adjacent the cap which is removed by breaking the cap at the reduced thickness portion. The brush holder covers the reduced thickness portion and prevents leakage therefrom during storage.

Abstract: A fluid dispensing container with brush type applicator. The container having an annular flange formed thereon. An applicator/brush is detachably coupled to the container by mating with the annular flange of the container. The applicator/brush has at least one opening thereto. A dispensing cap with at least one opening is affixed to at least one opening of the container in fluid communication therewith and positioned internal to the applicator/brush, so that when the dispensing cap is opened, the fluid may pass from at least one opening of the container through the dispensing cap and at least one opening in the applicator/brush.

Abstract: A powder dispenser for supplying a predetermined amount of powder for, for example, cosmetic applicators, by a simple finger-tip operation. The dispenser has a tubular casing which has a nib at one end and an actuator at the other end thereof, a powder chamber containing therein a predetermined powder, a spiral member extending within the powder chamber, and a rotary device having an actuator for providing relative rotation between the spiral member and the powder chamber. A tube may be provided within the tubular casing to form the powder chamber.
