Abstract: A complex, three-dimensional lattice made of previously impregnated fiber strands is laid over nodes, thus forming the main body of the component to be produced. The composite wound rod structure, comprising a skeleton of ribs that are formed of impregnated fiber strands in a continuous winding and laying process, is characterized in that the ribs are solid ribs, or lattice structure ribs prefabricated from fiber strands, which contain nodes, over which the impregnated fiber strands are alternately, and incrementally, placed diagonally, horizontally and vertically, until the desired strand thickness has been reached, and the wound rod structure can be segmented as needed. The solid ribs are made of fiber composites, aluminum, or other lightweight materials.

Abstract: An attachment member including an integral adhesive channel and a method of adhering an attachment member to a substrate includes adhering the member to the substrate using a first adhesive attached to the member to form a gap between the substrate and a bonding surface of the member defined by a perimeter edge. The first adhesive may be a pressure sensitive adhesive. The member defines a channel including a first opening configured to receive a second adhesive, which may be a flowable adhesive. The channel includes a second opening in fluid communication with the bonding surface. After adhering the member to the substrate with the first adhesive, the flowable adhesive is dispensed through the channel and into the gap such that the dispensed flowable adhesive is contained in the gap within the perimeter edge of the bonding surface. The flowable adhesive forms a bond between the substrate and the member.

Abstract: A resin-molded article 10 is formed by injecting molten resin into a molding die from a gate (11). Ribs (61, 62, 63 and 64) having widths larger than that of a thin molded portion (27) in the form of a thin wall are connected one after another from the position of the gate (11) to the thin molded portion (27). Spaces in the molding die for forming the ribs (61, 62, 63 and 64) define a path for the flow of the molten resin and the molten resin injected from the gate (11) flows into a space for forming the thin molded portion (27) through this path at the time of molding the resin-molded article (10). Therefore, the resin can be filled sufficiently for the thin molded portion (27) in the form of a thin wall located distant from the gate (11).
