Abstract: Coating systems and processes are disclosed for uniformly coating objects. The system comprises a pre-treatment unit, a first processing unit, a first post-treatment unit and one or more coating apparatus each configured to engage an object and rotate the object around or about two or more axes. The coating apparatus used in the system can comprise a first, second and/or third gimbals connected to rotational mechanisms to allow rotation of the gimbals around or about first, second and/or third axis. An object holder is connected to the third gimbal. When an object is present in the object holder, it can be immersed in a coating solution to form a coated object. The coated object is then rotated around or about two or three axes which produces a multidirectional centrifugal force which causes the coating solution to spread evenly over the surface of the object to produce a uniform thin film.

Abstract: A method of sealing a passage in a body with a sealing composition comprising (a) a major proportion of a latex emulsion or colloid; and (b) a minor proportion of lauric acid or a laurate compound; and (c) at least one further selected additive, ideally a latex coagulation inhibitor, wherein said composition is pumped into said passage where it is set or coagulated to form a seal. Advantageously, the laurate compound is ammonium laurate and coagulation is conveniently induced by adjusting pH of the sealing composition from alkaline to acidic pH range. The method is particularly well suited to sealing in faulty formations or sealing sites and may be used in sealing within salt mines which contain brines.

Abstract: There is provided a brightening ink composition for printing intended for realizing a heat insulating foamed paper container produced by foaming a low-melting point film by a heat treatment, such as a heat insulating foamed paper cup, the brightening ink composition conforming to the foaming without the occurrence of ink splits (cracks) upon foaming, having very small differences in level between the brightening printed areas and other printed areas at the container surface after foaming, making the container surface almost smooth, and having excellent design applicability and aesthetic properties as well as excellent heat resistance and print quality. A brightening ink composition containing a brightening material that imparts a sense of brightness, silicon dioxide, a binder resin and a solvent is prepared, and the brightening ink composition is used to form a printed layer of a paper container material for producing a heat insulating foamed paper container.

Abstract: The invention provides a carbon nanotube compound and method for producing the same. The method of the invention comprises the following steps. Firstly, Aniline-trimer and DMAc (dimethyl acetamide) solution are mixed to form a first solution. Secondly, Dianhydride and DMAc solution are mixed to form a second solution. The first solution and the second are mixed to form a third solution. Additionally, carboxyl-multiwall carbon nanotubes (c-MWNT), Diaminodiphenylether and DMAc solution are mixed to form a fourth solution. The third solution and the fourth are mixed to form a polyamic acid/CNT solution. Some polyamic acid/CNT solution is spread on a substrate and processed by a thermal treatment, and a carbon nanotube compound is eventually produced.
