Abstract: A distribution apparatus includes a reception part that receives first data and a request for execution of a process according to a process definition formed of one or more units of processing with respect to the first data, and one or more processing parts that execute the corresponding one or more units of processing. At least one processing part is a distribution part that distributes, to a distribution destination specified in the process definition, the first data or second data output as a result of execution of a unit of processing executed before a unit of processing corresponding to the at least one processing part. The distribution part distributes the first or second data based on information indicating a distribution method for the specified distribution destination defined in the process definition, when the specified distribution destination is included in multiple distribution destinations to which a communications protocol is common.

Abstract: Systems and methods for interest-driven business intelligence systems including segment data in accordance with embodiments of the invention are illustrated. In one embodiment, an interest-driven data visualization system includes a processor and a memory wherein an interest-driven data visualization application configures the processor to define reporting data requirements, including at least one piece of reporting data metadata, generate data retrieval job data, transmit the data retrieval job data to an interest-driven business intelligence server system, receive source data from the interest-driven business intelligence server system, create at least one piece of reporting data using the received source data, the data description metadata, and the reporting data metadata, and generate a set of segment data based on the reporting data, where a piece of segment data in the set of segment data includes a subset of the reporting data.

Abstract: When uncertainty is present, operational activities and counterparty relationships related to such operational activities are evaluated and appropriate management actions determined by utilizing data records comprising Contingent Performance Deliverables (CPDs), where a CPD specifies a set of rights and obligations for two or more counterparties to the CPD with respect to operational activities of the counterparties, wherein the rights and obligations are defined over a set of uncertain potential future events (SPFE). Analysis is conducted to assess relevant sources of uncertainty, and to determine appropriate actions under the operational activities, counterparty relationships, and CPD rights and obligations across such sources of uncertainty. After the actions are determined, their impact on the operational activities and counterparty relationships, and on associated performance measures, is determined across the sources of uncertainty.

Abstract: An exemplary embodiment provides for a computer-implemented method for processing a secure facility resident request. The method includes accepting a request type selection by the secure facility resident, providing a request form corresponding to the request type, accepting input for the request form and routing the request form to secure facility staff for review. The method additionally includes routing the request form back to the secure facility resident if further information is required and if the further information is required, accepting the further information from the secure facility resident.

Abstract: A system facilitates collaborative communications and information sharing in a network defined by a model. The model and a portion of the system are stored on a storage component coupled to a terminal. The system captures context information and user-defined data, the user-defined data provided during user interaction of the user in a first domain of the network, and dynamically stores the context information as metadata associated with the user-defined data, the user-defined data and the metadata stored on the storage component; a tracking component for tracking a change of the user from the first domain to a second domain of the network and dynamically updating the stored metadata based on the change, where the user accesses the user-defined data from the second domain; and an interface to the system that permits the user to create and view the user-defined data according to the model of the network.

Abstract: A flow line analysis device according to the present invention includes: a log storage unit which stores work log including key information which encompasses at least one of worker information, slip information and work item, and work information associated with key information; a flow line storage unit which stores a plurality of partial flow line data associated with the worker; and a control unit, wherein the control unit extracts work information associated with a specific key information from the work log, determines whether each of the plurality of partial flow line data which includes flow line work information which satisfies a predetermined condition defined by work information, and associates the key information with the flow line data when it is determined that the flow line data includes the flow line work information.

Abstract: In the algorithmically optimized project portfolio management, a uniquely comprehensive and holistic approach to data gathering with purpose directed hard and soft data feeds along with a complex and extensible algorithm is used to create and manage a portfolio of projects on an ongoing basis. The method includes broader data gathering capabilities from both people and other systems of record that contain hard data than other approaches. It also uses the functions of an integrated automated project office and a resource utilization planner to provide input to manage the portfolio on an ongoing basis.

Abstract: A flow line analysis device includes a log storage unit that stores work log including key information which encompasses at least one of worker information, slip information and work item, and work information associated with the key information, a flow line storage unit that stores flow line data of the worker, and a control unit, wherein the control unit extracts work information associated with a specific key information from the work log, and determines whether the flow line data which includes flow line work information which satisfies predetermined condition defined by work information, and associates the key information with the flow line data when it is determined that the flow line data includes the flow line work information.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method for analyzing recorded telephone calls in order to predict business outcomes. The method involves recording a series of initial telephone calls and analyzing those calls for particular audio features. The audio features are tabulated and annotated to specify whether the telephone call resulted in a pre-determined business outcome. A model is then built whereby the pre-determined business outcome can be predicted based upon the presence of certain audio features. The model can subsequently be used to predict whether future calls are likely to result in the pre-determined business outcome.

Abstract: A method for providing information to a market participant about a power generating unit based on thermal image data comprises the steps of: acquiring thermal data from a smokestack of a power generating unit; recording one or more images of the acquired thermal data; transmitting the recorded images to a central processing facility; analyzing the recorded images to determine the operational status of the power generating unit; and communicating information about the operational status of the power generating unit to the market participant.

Abstract: Technologies are generally described for a list designer pane for customizing data lists in an enterprise management application (EMA). An EMA may include tools for managing complex business data. An example tool for managing business data enables the creation of a smart data list which includes customized data records to enable efficient data management and analysis. The EMA provides a list designer pane to facilitate user creation and customization of the new data list. The list designer pane enables selection of data tables and fields to include in a new list, enables creation of relationships between fields and tables included in the new list, and enables filtering of data included in the new list based on user defined criteria. The new list can be created from an existing data list as a template, and can also be created from a blank template.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention disclose a method, computer program product, and system for determining recommendations in data analysis. A computer identifies an analysis step currently being performed in a data analysis. The computer identifies data points corresponding to the identified analysis step currently being performed and one or more previous analyses. The computer determines a distance between the data points corresponding to the identified analysis step currently being performed and each of the one or more previous data analyses utilizing a distance computing algorithm. The computer determines a ranking of the one or more previous data analyses corresponding to the determined distances between the data points corresponding to the identified analysis step currently being performed and each of the one or more previous data analyses.

Abstract: A consolidated business intelligence platform provides customized business analytics for a plurality of customer databases, each associated with a corresponding plurality of customers. Responsive to a request from a user for a customized business intelligence interface, the system determines a customer of the plurality of customers with which the user is affiliated; accesses a set of customization parameters for the determined customer, the customization parameters including a set of data analytics parameters and a set of data display parameters; and identifies, from the plurality of customer databases, a customer database associated with the determined customer. The system analyzes a dataset from the identified customer database using the set of data analytics parameters, and then formats the analyzed dataset for display based on the set of data display parameters, thereby generating the customized business intelligence interface for transmission to the user.

In particular, the feedback data is received from a plurality of respondents, and relates to a broker-mediated geospatial information service provided to each respondent of the plurality of respondents. Furthermore, each respondent of the plurality of respondents is a prior requestor of a process-dataset solution for performing the broker-mediated geospatial information service. Based on the feedback data, a value indicator relating to the process-dataset solution is determined.

Abstract: The present invention is a tool for managing spend analysis, reverse auctions, sourcing, contracts, procure-to-pay processes, requests for proposals, supplier assessment and settlement processes. It employs hardware architecture and a software framework to provide a platform as a service that allows the user to create, store, report and manage bids, requests for proposals, contracts, bid data, spend analysis, and supplier scoring information from any of a number of mobile devices of various form factors.

Abstract: A method of measuring emotional response of at least one subject to a specific sensory stimulus comprises establishing (202) a plurality of basic emotions for measurement, including one or more positive affect emotions and one or more negative affect emotions. The subject is presented (302) with the specific sensory stimulus, and for each basic emotion is further presented (306) with a computer-generated display comprising interactive animated visual images representative of a metaphorical concept corresponding with the basic emotion. Input is then received (308) from the subject, who is enabled to adapt the animated visual images to accord with an emotional response to the sensory stimulus. The received input is converted to a corresponding quantitative emotional response value for each basic emotion.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide systems and methods for managing catalog information that can include tracking and reporting search terms used for catalog items searches. According to one embodiment, a procurement application can maintain a log of unique search phrases which returned no search results. For example, the log can maintain records from a specific time period. A count can be maintained to capture how many times a phrase was used for search within the specific time period, and used to rank the frequency of the search phrases. Search phrases that exceed that time period may be purged. The accumulated counts and associated search terms can be provided to the managers periodically and/or upon request in the form of a summary or other graphical and/or textual report or presentation.

The graphical representation may also include multi-layer corporation information. Further, the graphical representation may present a subset of corporate data in response to user inputs.

Abstract: A method of optimizing a Business Process Management (BPM) model, where the model is associated with a plurality of key performance indicators depending on a control parameter vector that includes a plurality of control parameters, may include separating the plurality of control parameters into a linear control parameter vector and a non-linear control parameter vector. A set of candidate values may be iteratively calculated for the control parameter vector. Each candidate value may be determined for a preselected value of a non-linear control parameter belonging to the non-linear control parameter vector from execution of a mixed integer program model associated with the BPM model, the key performance indicators and the preselected value of the non-linear control parameter vector. The method may further include adjusting the BPM model based on at least one of the candidate values.

Abstract: Executing a business process can include providing a context data object including a payload data structure for storing a payload data and automatically splitting an annotated context data object into one or more utility data objects. Responsive to creating a second utility data object, a pre-processing task can be injected into the business process, the pre-processing task using a copy of a first mapping to read data from the predefined data structure instance and to store the read data as payload data in the payload data structure of the first utility data object. Responsive to creating a third utility object, a post-processing task can be injected into the business process. The post-processing task can use a copy of the second mapping to write the payload data of the first utility data object to elements of a predefined data structure instance.

Abstract: A method, apparatus, and computer program product are present for analyzing voyage efficiency. Historical data for a completed voyage of a ship is obtained. A baseline voyage solution for a completed voyage is generated with a software application executing on a processor unit using a model of the ship and the historical data. The baseline voyage solution is compared to an actual voyage solution used for the completed voyage to form a comparison.

The SSD may include a component map that may be stored in machine readable memory. An element of the map may correspond to the component. The SSD may include a central processing unit that may revise the map based on input from a service technician or machine-generated information. The map may be used to track the presence of the component in the SSD.

Abstract: There is disclosed a system functional for operating and updating an interactive voice response self care system which utilizes various types of models. The system is capable of improving the performance of the self care system through updating the models used in that system in a closed loop manner. The system is also potentially configured to utilize input from a human agent, such as a customer service representative, to which a customer call is transferred by a self care system.

Abstract: A plurality of analytics in a cloud-based environment is accessed. Each of the plurality of analytics performs an operation on time series data. Within the cloud-based environment, a selected one or more of the plurality of analytics is chosen. A tree-generating application can receive constraints characterizing specifications for a decision tree desired by the user of the tree-generating application. The tree-generating application can generate a mathematical equation based on the constraints. The tree-generating application can receive, from a first database, historical data characterizing treatments provided to a plurality of representative customers having corresponding attributes. The tree-generating application can execute a simplex method of linear programming to search for the decision tree desired by the user from a plurality of decision trees stored in a second database stored in a second database. The tree-generating application can send the decision tree to a tree-using application.

Abstract: A system for calculating, analyzing and tracking regulatory recovery relating to regulatory management has been developed. The system includes, a mapping interface for mapping the source data from multiple source databases, analysis keys that are applied and act as data tags to the mapped source data and a storage database for storing the mapped source data. A jurisdictional template is used for filtering mapped source data in order to model the data for a specific jurisdiction. Next, a case ledger layer that generates rate cases based on filtered mapped source data. A regulatory monitoring tool is then used to monitor regulatory recovery performance. Finally, a revenue requirements manager that analyzes both historical and forecast rate cases generates a user report.

Abstract: A computer implemented method, data processing system, and computer program product for dynamically binding business process activities to human entities at deployment time. Identification information about a staff activity in a business process is received from a process server at an access control system external to the process server. Responsive to initiation of the business process, the staff activity is resolved at the access control system at runtime by assigning the staff activity to a user based on an access policy of the access control system to form a staff activity assignment. The staff activity assignment is communicated from the access control system to the process server. The process allows the development of the business process to be entirely decoupled from staff activity resolution at runtime.

Abstract: A method of fixing a problem with a user interface includes receiving information about the page in an optimization server. The page includes a display element. The information is received from a client with a request for code. Source data of the user interface is received by the client from a server distinct from the optimization server. The method further includes determining that an element on the user interface is associated with a known problem and associated fix. The fix includes modification of the element. An expected conversion rate of the user interface with the modified element is higher than prior to the modification. The method also includes generating code for modifying the element in accordance with the fix and providing the code to the client. The client displays the user interface with the modified element based on the source. Modifying the element does not include modifying the source.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for a dynamic information connection search engine. User actions may be detected on at least one client system. In response, a determination may be made whether the user is searching for supported information. When the user is searching for supported information, information may be extracted electronically from, for example, third party websites, direct supplier connections, and/or intermediate databases. Potential suppliers may be automatically selected in response to the detected user search. Queries may be formulated from the user search and transferred to one or more selected suppliers over a network coupling (e.g., the Internet and/or an intranet). The queries may include one or more requests for information. One or more responses may be received from the suppliers, and the responses may be used to generate a result list for the user. The result list may include information and/or query status information.

Abstract: Embodiments provide techniques for creating and managing accumulator tables for use in generating reports for a business entity. Embodiments include identifying a report for a business entity. A plurality of data fields are determined across two or more database tables that are used to generate the report. Embodiments include creating an accumulator table and populating the accumulator table with data values for all of the plurality of data fields. Upon receiving, from a point of sale system, an indicator of an occurrence of a business event for the business entity, an instance of the report is automatically generated using the populated accumulator table.

Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for automated handling of at least one working step of a workflow in an automation and/or electrical engineering project via a data input interface, a processing unit and a data output interface connected to the processing unit for transmitting any data read in by the data input interface or generated by the processing unit to at least one of a data repository, another processing unit and/or a display unit. The data input interface can read in input values belonging to the at least one working step of the workflow, and an input uncertainty including a range of input values. The processing unit can generate an output value of the working step from the input value, and calculate an output uncertainty characterizing a range of the output value, by taking into account a parameter and/or a technical condition of the working step.

Abstract: An electronic ticket management system includes an event organizer for planning an event, an electronic ticket seller for distributing electronic ticket information which authenticates the right to attend the event, an information storage chip for storing the electronic ticket information, and an electronic ticket platform center for managing the distribution of the electronic ticket information. The electronic ticket platform center forms an electronic ticket information master based on event information registered by the event organizer, and relates ticket issuing information registered by the electronic ticket seller to the electronic ticket information master. The electronic ticket platform center also issues the tickets by writing the electronic ticket information into the corresponding information storage chip based on ticket issuing information.

Example embodiments provide a Location Assessment Provider System, which generates and provides assessments of various characteristics of specified locations. In one embodiment, the Location Assessment Provider System receives a specified location, determines a location assessment for the specified location, generates a visual representation of the determined location assessment, and provides the generated visual representation to a client system. Determining a location assessment may be based on geographic-related information about, or associated with, the specified location, such as the presence and location of geographic-related features associated with the specified location.
