Abstract: A system and method for a yoga block having molding on the outer surfaces of the block to fit the hand of a user and support the hand in a neutral wrist position so as to prevent pain and discomfort in the wrist, in particular, when the user is performing yoga exercises.
Abstract: Balance training aids are disclosed. Example embodiments disclose a user placing all or part of their body weight on a top surface of a platform that is sitting atop an unstable base member and attempts to balance or complete a balance challenge. In example embodiments, the user places at least a portion of one foot atop the platform during the balance challenge. Adjustability features can be provided so as to provide a varying degree of adjustability to the unstable base member, and thus, provide a varying degree of balance challenges or levels of difficulty.
Abstract: An apparatus to hold and position dumbbells with adjustment through three dimensions (vertical, horizontal and forward and backward) so as to provide an elevated and precisely positioned starting and ending position for the dumbbells used in a dumbbell exercise. The apparatus may be configured as a stand-alone device, an attachment to another piece of equipment (such as a power rack or bench press) or integrated into another piece of exercise equipment such as a lying/incline/seated press apparatus. It enables adjustment of the dumbbell position by the user while the user is positioned for the exercise, as well as prior to assuming the positon for the exercise, to provide precise positioning as desired by each individual user. It features a channeling device which guides a user's hands, wrists and arms when returning the dumbbell to the holder.
Abstract: A fastener having two strap ends connected by an elastomeric member is described. The elastomeric member has sufficient elasticity to allow a user to increase the distance of separation between the two strap ends by applying a tension force, while providing enough tension to return the two strap ends to close proximity when the user releases the tension force. The elastomeric member may also have an adjustable elasticity to accommodate different applications with different load forces.
