Abstract: A computer implemented method for managing health-related data captures an image from a display of an exercise machine using a camera, has the images processed to extract the text data from the captured images, and analyzes the text data to identify information relating to extrinsic physical activity performed by a person at the exercise machine. The results are stored in memory and a profile specific to the person is updated. The profile comprises a log of past exercise activity that allows the person to track his or her activity and progress and overall health. The profile can be accessed by the person through a portal such as using a smart phone or a computer program or web browser. The results can be combined with other data to arrive at a health score which can be published through the portal while personal data remains masked from public inspection.

Abstract: Automated conversion of incompatible data files into compatible benefit packages for a pharmacy benefit management (PBM) platform. In an embodiment, client files, comprising representations of benefit plans, are received. Each representation comprises a plurality of field values. For each representation, a layout and a set of translation rules are received, the plurality of field values in the representation are mapped to a plurality of attribute values based on the layout, and a benefit package, comprising a plurality of components, is generated by applying the set of translation rules to the plurality of attribute values, such that the benefit package represents the benefit plan.

Abstract: While displaying the dock overlaid on a first user interface of a first application, an electronic device detects a first input selecting a respective application icon in the dock. If the respective application icon corresponds to the first application and the first application is associated with multiple windows, the electronic device displays respective representations of the multiple windows of the first application. If the respective application icon corresponds to the first application and the first application currently is only associated with a single window, the electronic device maintains display of the first user interface of the first application. If the respective application icon corresponds to a second application, the electronic device replaces display of the first user interface of the first application with display of a second user interface of the second application, irrespective of how many windows were associated with the second application at the time.

Abstract: A three-dimensional display method is provided and comprises: acquiring target space coordinates of a target marker in a physical space; converting the target space coordinates into rendering coordinates in a virtual space; acquiring data of a virtual object to be displayed, and rendering, based on the data of the virtual object and the rendering coordinates, the virtual object to obtain a left-eye display content and a right-eye display content of the virtual object; and displaying the left-eye display content and the right-eye display content. The left-eye display content is projected onto a first optical lens, the right-eye display content is projected onto a second optical lens, and the first optical lens and the second optical lens respectively reflect the left-eye display content and the right-eye display content to human eyes. The method can achieve alignment display of the virtual object with the target marker, and a stereoscopic display.

Abstract: In at least some examples, a system comprises a first kiosk computer to display first content and to broadcast a first beacon signal, and a second kiosk computer to display second content and to broadcast a second beacon signal. A mobile device is to establish communications with the more proximate of the first and second kiosk computers as determined based on the first and second beacon signals and to cause new content to be provided to the more proximate kiosk computer. The more proximate kiosk computer is to display the new content.

Abstract: A private video surveillance service shares an image stream through an asset lock with government agencies in the event of emergency. Nominated agencies establish access credentials at the surveillance service data center. A camera is shared by a facility administrator's selection of permissions on each camera via privileged web-browser or mobile device. Permissions enable selection by static meta data such as type, audio, location, motion, recognition, PTZR, spectrum, and epoch. Video streams of present and past epochs are controlled by ranges of time. A government agency receives an electronic notification from the administrator to operate an agency dedicated application programming interface. A notification may be customized for each responding agency and each event by dynamically generating a link to a secure webserver which records geo-location or network identifiers for validation. Video servers remain controlled by the facility administrator.

Abstract: A method of interactively navigating a user through a path of menu choices on a user interface may include displaying a current menu of choices on a first portion of a user interface display. The user interface allows for selecting of a menu item from the current menu of choices and to drill down through levels of menu choices based on selecting a menu item from a prior level of menu choices. A second portion of the user interface display presents past selected and past unselected menu items of the drilled-down levels. The past unselected menu items are displayed as selectable options. The user interface allows for jumping to a different path of menu choices by selecting a past unselected menu item from a previously navigated menu level displayed on the second portion of the user interface display.

Abstract: The invention is directed to a machine tool W having a control device for controlling the operating modes of the machine tool W. The control device comprises an operating unit B for operation of the control device by a user and a safety controller S for actuating the various machine areas M of the machine tool W. By means of the operating unit B, it is possible to select machine areas of the machine tool W and to define an operating mode for the selected machine areas M. The selected machine areas M and associated operating mode are transmitted to the safety controller S. As a result of this type of actuation of the machine tool, safe operation is possible during installation and service work on the machine tool.

Abstract: An approach is provided that uses a digital assistant during an online meeting. The digital assistant receives a request to attend an online meeting at a scheduled date and time. The digital assistant is associated with a user that is invited to attend the online meeting. The digital assistant is automatically logged onto the online meeting over the computer network when the scheduled date and time arrive. During the online meeting, the digital assistant detects a voice command from one the human participants of the online meeting. The digital assistant detects that the voice command is detected to the digital assistant. The digital assistant then performs a function that corresponds to the detected voice command.

Abstract: Provided is a device and method for generating a graphic user interface (GUI) for controlling a plurality of external devices. The device includes a communication interface configured to communicate with the plurality of external devices and download a plurality of control applications to control the plurality of external devices, a processor configured to collect, from the plurality of downloaded control applications, function information to control the plurality of external devices, and configured to provide an integrated application to control the plurality of external devices by using the collected function information, and a display displaying the GUI for controlling the plurality of external devices when the integrated application is executed.

Abstract: A method, computer system, and computer program product for expanding phenological data resources by collecting phenological data from social media sites are provided. The embodiment may include determining one or more species of plants or animals from a plurality of data shared on social media sites. The embodiment may also include extracting phenological information related to the determined plants or animals. The embodiment may further include validating the phenological information against known or already validated information received from crowd source phenological information or a plurality of ecological and biological databases. The embodiment may further include cataloging the validated and filtered phenological information according to a list selected from a group consisting of species, locations, biological or ecological characteristics.

Abstract: This application provides a method and a terminal for allocating a system resource to an application. The method includes: predicting, by a terminal based on a current status of the terminal, a target application to be used; reserving, by the terminal for the target application based on the prediction result, a system resource required for running the target application; and providing, by the terminal according to a resource allocation request of the target application, the reserved system resource for the target application to use.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to performing attribution modeling in real time using touchpoint data that correspond to arbitrary analytics parameters (e.g., a user-specified dimension) and are retrieved from a database using an attribution model. For example, in one or more embodiments, a system stores raw data in an analytics database that comprises an aggregator and a plurality of nodes. In particular, each node stores touchpoint data associated with a different user. Upon receiving a query, the system can, in real time, retrieve subsets of the touchpoint data that correspond to a user-specified dimension in accordance with an attribution model. The system then combines the subsets of touchpoint data using the aggregator and generates the digital attribution report using the combined data.

The search criterion may include a plurality of data points corresponding to a relational database node profile or a relational database subgraph profile. Abstract: An elevator system includes a drive controller configured to actuate a drive motor of an elevator drive assembly. A non-transitory computer-readable medium includes program instructions that cause a processor to retrieve a set of rules of the elevator system, generate at least one graphical user interface by applying the set of rules to at least one design template, calculate an acceptance score for the at least one graphical user interface based on a user profile of an administrator, and publish the at least one graphical user interface based at least partially on the acceptance score. The elevator system further includes a display device configured to display the graphical user interface after it is published and cause the drive controller to actuate the drive motor based on user input of a selection of at least one selectable option on the at least one graphical user interface.

Abstract: Aspects of the technology described herein use acoustic features of a music track to capture information for a recommendation system. The recommendation can work without analyzing label data (e.g., genre, artist) or usage data for a track. For each audio track, a descriptor is generated that can be used to compare the track to other tracks. The comparisons between track descriptors result in a similarity measure that can be used to make a recommendation. In this process, the audio descriptors are used directly to form a track-to-track similarity measure between tracks. By measuring the similarity between a track that a user is known to like and an unknown track, a decision can be made whether to recommend the unknown track to the user.

Abstract: A heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) control device configured to receive a user input for controlling an HVAC system, to determine whether the user input indicates an energy saving occupancy setting, and to identify a first plurality of time entries that are associated with a confidence level for a predicted occupancy status that is less than a predetermined threshold value in the predicted occupancy schedule. The device is further configured to modify the predicted occupancy schedule by setting the first plurality of time entries to an away status when the user input indicates an aggressive energy saving occupancy setting. The device is further configured to modify the predicted occupancy schedule by setting the second plurality of time entries to a present status when the user input indicates a conservative energy saving occupancy setting. The device is further configured to output the modified predicted occupancy schedule.

Abstract: User interface control based on elbow-anchored arm gestures is disclosed. In one aspect, there is provided a method of user interface control on a computing device based on elbow-anchored arm gestures. A visual user interface (VUI) screen is displayed on a display of a computing device. The VUI screen comprises a plurality of VUI elements arranged in a plurality of VUI element levels. Each VUI element level comprising one or more VUI elements. A spatial location of an elbow of an arm of a user and a spatial location of a wrist of the arm of the user are determined. A three-dimensional (3D) arm vector extending from the spatial location of the elbow to the spatial location of the wrist is then determined. A VUI element in the VUI screen corresponding to the 3D arm vector is then determined based on a predetermined 3D spatial mapping between 3D arm vectors and VUI elements for the VUI screen.

Abstract: The example systems and methods provide ways for websites to monitor, store, retrieve, and display navigation tendencies of users of websites. More particularly, the systems and methods involve websites displaying measures of user traffic associated with various categories of web content. The measures of user traffic may inform a user of how the user previously navigated the various hierarchical categories of web content, or the measures of user traffic may inform a user of how others navigate the various hierarchical categories of web content. Moreover, the user may select an identifiable group of users for which the website will display navigation tendencies. In the alternative, the website may display navigation tendencies of an identifiable group of users based on an identity of the user viewing the website.

In response to a gallery view request from any of the recipient devices, the ephemeral messages in the gallery are displayed on the requesting device in automated sequence, each message being displayed for a respective display duration before display of the next message in the gallery. The gallery has a global gallery availability parameter, and each message has a gallery participation timer. The gallery is made unavailable for viewing upon expiry of the gallery availability parameter or upon expiry of the gallery participation timer of a last posted message in the gallery, whichever occurs first.

Abstract: Methods for recommending next user input using pattern analysis of user input is provided. According to an aspect of the present disclosure, a method comprising obtaining information on a series of user inputs entered through a graphic user interface (GUI), analyzing the information on the series of user inputs to identify a pattern formed by the series of user inputs, and when the pattern is identified, automatically displaying next input recommendation information determined depending on the identified pattern and a last user input of the series of user inputs without additional user input after the series of user inputs, is provided.

The preview area is automatically scaled and positioned dependent on one or more attributes of the selected message cell.

Abstract: A computer-readable media, method, and system for calling a function within a group-based communication system. The function may be initiated according to a trigger condition and is associated with arguments and return values. To carry out the function, an HTTP request is generated and sent to an HTTP server, which sends an HTTP callback to a group-based communication system server. The HTTP callback may include return values indicative of either a successful completion of the function or an error.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for executing a default action on a touchscreen device is provided. The method includes receiving a touch input from a user on a touchscreen device and determining a context associated with the touch input. The context is associated with one or more actions including a default action. The method also includes determining that the received touch input comprises a default gesture, and performing the default action associated with the determined context. Abstract: The present teaching relates to a method and system for validating labels of training data. A first group of data records associated with the training data are received, wherein each of the first group of data records includes a vector having at least one feature and a first label. For each of the first group of data records, a second label is determined based on the at least one feature in accordance with a first model. Thereafter, a loss based on the first label associated with the data record and the second label is obtained, and the data record having an incorrect first label is classified when the loss meets a pre-determined criterion. Upon classifying the data records, a sub-group of the first group of data records is generated, wherein each of the data records included in the sub-group has the incorrect first label.

Abstract: A system controlled responsive at least in part to data read from data bearing records is operative to cause vehicle parts usable to repair or upgrade vehicles to be determined and furnished. Data from the vehicle such as data read by a reader from a tag associated with a vehicle is used to determine vehicle identifying data. A repair estimate calculation circuit (RECC) operates responsive to the read data to produce a needed parts record (NPR). The records produced by the RECC are operative to cause a vehicle repair entity (VRE) to be furnished the vehicle repair or upgrade parts.

Based on the particular data, the data access system generates one or more of: particular review analysis data, particular reporting data, or particular specific data. The particular review analysis data includes one or more of: a review progress summary, a review analysis report, a review analysis summary, or a review analysis job report. The particular reporting data includes one or more of: a global trend report, a statistical report, or an executive summary.

Abstract: Exemplary embodiments relate to improvements in the design of a messaging inbox. The inbox may display different units or “modules” for providing a user with quick access to different inbox functionalities. Content may be ranked and ordered within a module, and modules may be ranked and ordered with respect to each other. Inter-module ranking may be based on elements such as individual activity and the activity of the messaging service's user base, the value of the module to the messaging service, and offline models. Intra-module ranking may be defined by individual modules (e.g., based on recency, importance to user, affinity, etc.). Intra-module ranking may affect inter-module ranking, such as when individual content in a low-rated module is particularly exciting or pertinent (causing the entire module to receive a higher inter-module ranking).

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed toward systems, methods, and non-transitory computer readable media for generating and providing a collaborative content management interface for a group of users. For example, the systems described herein can detect user input to add a header within the collaborative content management interface. The systems can cause a file management system to generate a subfolder that corresponds with the new header in the collaborative content management interface. Conversely, the systems can analyze a file database maintained by a file management system and, in response to user input to initiate a collaborative content management system, generate a collaborative content management interface with graphical elements to represent files and headers to represent subfolders.

Abstract: Systems and methods to enable users to incentivize particular in-game user behaviors and particular user activities within an online game are disclosed. Exemplary implementations may: effectuate presentation of an incentive interface that enables a first user to define a social agreement of a set of activities for a second user to perform and incentives for the set of activities that the second user can earn, and specify the second user to propose the social agreement to; effectuate presentation of the social agreement to the second user via an online gaming platform; receive an indication of acceptance to the social agreement; generate instructions to form the social agreement as a smart contract and transfer such to a decentralized ledger server for recordation; and receive indication of execution of the set of activities and, in responsive, provide the incentives to the second user.

Abstract: Systems and approaches enable concurrent interaction with multiple user applications in a multi-tasking environment. User input, such as voice commands, head movement, hand or finger gestures, device motion, can be received to a centralized component of a system. State information for each user application can be determined, and the centralized component can send a recognized command or gesture to the appropriate user application(s) based on the state information and/or rules for propagating user input. Additionally, users can configure the input modalities of each user application to customize interaction with systems.

Abstract: Methods and systems configured to enable communications among user concurrently accessing a website are described. A communication system detects that at least a first user and a second user are concurrently accessing a third party website via respective first user and second user devices. At least partly in response to detecting that the first user and the second user are concurrently accessing the third party website, corresponding indications are transmitted to the first user device and the second user device. The first user and the second user are enabled to communicate with each other via one or more communication channels and to securely share content with each other.

Abstract: A method for reconfiguring operator controls of a work vehicle is disclosed. The method comprises providing a user interface operatively coupled to a control device. Displaying one or more displays of an apparatus configuration on a display screen of the user interface, each of the one or more displays including graphics associated with a function of the apparatus. Associating a control output of a control unit of the control device with the function of the apparatus; and dynamically adjusting, by a controller, the control output of the control unit to reconfigure operator controls of the work vehicle in response to a change in the graphics or a change in the relative arrangement of the one or more displays on the display screen.

Abstract: Embodiments are directed are towards the parallelization of collection queries. A method of parallelizing collection queries comprises providing a field searchable data store comprising a plurality of field searchable time stamped event records. The method further comprises receiving, at a search head, a collection query that references a field name that identifies portions of one or more event records to be summarized. Further, the method comprises determining if the collection query can be concurrently executed on a first plurality of indexers, wherein the search head is configured to communicate with the first plurality of indexers, and wherein each indexer of the first plurality of indexers comprises one or more field searchable time stamped event records. Responsive to an affirmative determination, the method also comprises determining a second plurality of indexers relevant to the collection query and executing the collection query to generate a respective summarization table at each indexer.
