Upon positioning the second portion to the member, the first portion of the garment may be attached to the member. The garment may be attached to the member with only a single hand. The second portion may comprise an opening in the first portion.

The garment may include an impermeable inner layer and a wicking outer layer. One or more reservoirs may be disposed interior to the inner layer for collecting condensed and/or unevaporated sweat. One or more pumps may move the sweat to the exterior of the impermeable layer for distribution in the wicking layer and evaporation from the garment.

The conductive element includes a second termination point configured to connect to a sensor or transceiver.

Abstract: Fiber blends useful for garments with a balance of high thermal, abrasion resistance, and moisture management properties are disclosed. The fiber blends comprise a hydrophobic fiber component, a hydrophilic fiber component, a structural fiber component, and an optional antistatic fiber. Yarns, fabrics, and garments comprising the fiber blends are also disclosed. Such garments are particularly useful for occupations requiring high thermal properties and abrasion resistance, such as fire fighters, utility workers, and military personnel, without compromising comfort of the wearers by maintaining breathability and moisture management properties of the fabric.

One of the two matching pieces defines on an interior face a channel to interconnect the wires to the cables. The connection assembly comprises a male connector and a female connector. The male connector defines a series of independent connection points along a length thereof. The female connector is adapted to receive the male connector, and defines along a length of an inner surface thereof a series of contact points. When the male connector is inserted within the female connector, the connection points and the contact points are aligned and in contact together.

The at least one insulating insert can provide an R-value of greater than about 3.5.

Abstract: A pullover-style shirt, the shirt comprising an exterior layer of fabric, an interior layer of fabric, an aperture in the exterior layer, securing means that serve to close the aperture when the aperture is not actively manipulated by a user, but that allow the easy opening of the aperture to display the interior layer when the aperture is actively manipulated by a user. The inventor contemplates that the interior layer should bear a graphic display that is exposed when the aperture is opened. The securing means are to be a system of opposite polarity magnets that sewn into the edges of the aperture, thus closing the aperture via their force of attraction when not restrained from one another. Still further, the inventor expressly contemplates that the aperture should be positioned so as to locate over the sternum of a user when the pullover top is worn.

Also included is a cape with shoulder straps and hip straps to apply further tension when attached to the vest or another garment. A shirt includes a central back panel and one or more shoulder straps, the central panel extending to side straps at the hip. Shorts with a spiral strap apply tension from the body core to the leg of the wearer. Shirts and tops for women including for maternity wear include support specific to a woman's body. Some of the shirts, tops, shorts and vests have wearer adjustable straps to vary the tension applied by the straps.

Described herein are garments (including compression garments) having one or more highly stretchable conductive ink pattern formed of a composite of an insulative adhesive, a conductive ink, and an intermediate gradient zone between the adhesive and conductive ink. The conductive ink typically includes between about 40-60% conductive particles, between about 30-50% binder; between about 3-7% solvent; and between about 3-7% thickener. Abstract: A first aid systems for an ultra compact first-aid pouch configured to fit behind the ballistic plates of a protective vest are disclosed. In this configuration, the first-aid kit is protected from shrapnel and tearing, is easily locatable and removable and does not effect the user's freedom of movement. When the first-aid pouch is removed from its protected location, it presents the first-aid equipment in a logical and easily viewable manner.

Abstract: Thermal garments with reduced weight and bulk and improved packability include targeted zones of increased thermal resistive properties. Such garments may include: (a) a first garment region extending along a central back portion of the garment from the waist area of the garment to the neck area; (b) second and third garment regions extending along the sides of the garment from the waist area to the underarm area; and (c) a fourth garment region extending between the first and second garment regions, between the first and third garment regions, and between the second and third garment regions. The fourth garment region includes a thermal material having a lower thermal resistive value than the thermal resistive values of the thermal materials associated with the first, second, and third garment regions. Methods of making such garments also are described.
