Abstract: A preferred embodiment of the invention is based on a rehabilitation garment allowing a user to take cold or heat therapy while performing other tasks. In a preferred embodiment of a version of the invention, a rehabilitation garment comprises a single layer of material made of a stretchable material. The stretchable material covers a user's body, and has inserts for temperature control elements. The temperature control elements are placed over areas of the body needing rehabilitation. In one embodiment, the stretchable material is an insulating material. In other embodiment, the stretchable material is a thin breathable material.

Abstract: According to one embodiment of the present invention, the article or piece of clothing includes a hat having a crown and a bill extending outwardly from the crown. A wrap-around shoulder-length sun shade or sun screen is releasably coupled, by separating zippers, to the crown and bill of the hat. If the separating zippers are closed, the wrap-around shade or wrap around screen is connected to the crown and bill. If the separating zippers are open, the wrap-around sun shade or sun screen can be detached from the crown and/or the bill.

Abstract: A clothing system with a concealment pocket for concealing a weapon or other items. The concealment pocket includes internal stitching which may follow the outline of a weapon, such as a handgun. The internal stitching maintains the orientation of the handgun when placed in the concealment pocket. The concealment pocket is located on the clothing system such that when a weapon or other item is inserted in the pocket, the outline of the weapon is not visible and the pocket retains the weapon despite movements by the clothing system wearer. The concealment pocket is constructed of materials that offer high strength, resist abrasion, and reduce friction with an inserted weapon allowing for the weapon to be removed with little resistance. Padding attached to the concealment pocket provides a cushioning layer to the clothing system wearer. A cargo pocket may be located in proximity to the concealment pocket. The cargo pocket placement aids in disguising the concealment pocket and its contents.

Abstract: A carrier garment configured to carry protective panels on a user's torso allows adjustment of the carrier garment and the protective panels to accommodate a wide range of bust and torso sizes, from flat-chested to full figured bust and torso lines. Embodiments allow quick adjustment back to a flat configuration to accommodate rifle protection plates that require the carrier and the underlying panels to be flat. Various embodiments can be locked to ensure that the garment retains its adjusted shape. A shaping point and/or a slit can be provided to assist in shaping stiff materials. Embodiments include a plurality of attachment points to which a lower end of an adjustment lanyard can be attached. A lining or inner layer can be included, and can be configured to adjust in shape with the outer garment. The outer garment and/or the liner or inner layer can include a protective material.

Positioning the second portion to the member may secure the second portion to the member and thus secure the end of the first portion to which the second portion is attached. Upon positioning the second portion to the member, the first portion of the garment may be attached to the member. The garment may be attached to the member with only a single hand. The second portion may comprise an opening in the first portion.

Abstract: Disclosed is a waterproof compression pocket for a garment. The pocket includes a rectangular structure with an opening at the top end thereof. In one embodiment, the top end is adapted to provide a waterproof seal to protect the contents therein from moisture. In another embodiment, the pocket may further include a waterproof lining that can be sealed to prevent permeation of water or moisture. The pocket is adapted to snugly hold contents therein so as to prevent the contents from falling out. Additionally, the pocket is preferably configured to hold a hand held electronic device therein. The pocket also includes a conductive, transparent window that allows a wearer to view the contents of the pocket and to utilize a touch screen of the electronic device held in the pocket.

The garment may include an impermeable inner layer and a wicking outer layer. One or more reservoirs may be disposed interior to the inner layer for collecting condensed and/or unevaporated sweat. One or more pumps may move the sweat to the exterior of the impermeable layer for distribution in the wicking layer and evaporation from the garment.

Abstract: The present invention provides a sensor garment including a harness. In one exemplary embodiment, the sensor garment includes a textile portion, a device-retention element coupled to the textile portion, and a stretchable harness coupled to the textile portion. The harness includes a conductive element disposed between layers of film. The conductive element includes a first termination point at the device retention element, configured to connect to a monitor device. The conductive element includes a second termination point configured to connect to a sensor or transceiver.

Abstract: Fiber blends useful for garments with a balance of high thermal, abrasion resistance, and moisture management properties are disclosed. The fiber blends comprise a hydrophobic fiber component, a hydrophilic fiber component, a structural fiber component, and an optional antistatic fiber. Yarns, fabrics, and garments comprising the fiber blends are also disclosed. Such garments are particularly useful for occupations requiring high thermal properties and abrasion resistance, such as fire fighters, utility workers, and military personnel, without compromising comfort of the wearers by maintaining breathability and moisture management properties of the fabric.

Abstract: The present relates to a washable interconnection patch, a connection assembly, and an intelligent washable garment equipped therewith. The patch receives and interconnects wires to a cable. The patch comprises two matching pieces interlocking together so as to define there between two opposite apertures. One of the apertures is adapted to receive and hold the wires, and the other aperture is adapted to receive and hold the cable. One of the two matching pieces defines on an interior face a channel to interconnect the wires to the cables. The connection assembly comprises a male connector and a female connector. The male connector defines a series of independent connection points along a length thereof. The female connector is adapted to receive the male connector, and defines along a length of an inner surface thereof a series of contact points. When the male connector is inserted within the female connector, the connection points and the contact points are aligned and in contact together.

An extender has opposite sides secured to the shell whereby the extender is adjacent the pocket opening, and the extender opposite sides are substantially aligned with the pocket sides. A first releasable connection is above the pocket opening between the extender and the shell. When connected, the extender is adjacent the shell at the first releasable connection holds. When released, the extender and shell define an opening substantially aligned with the pocket top opening.

Described herein are garments (including compression garments) having one or more highly stretchable conductive ink pattern formed of a composite of an insulative adhesive, a conductive ink, and an intermediate gradient zone between the adhesive and conductive ink. The conductive ink typically includes between about 40-60% conductive particles, between about 30-50% binder; between about 3-7% solvent; and between about 3-7% thickener. The stretchable conductive ink patterns may be stretched more than twice their length without breaking or rupturing.

Abstract: An insulating clothing system includes an article of clothing having a front portion and at least one pocket in the front portion. The pocket is configured to at least partially cover at least one intimate part of a user. At least one insulating insert including at least one layer of thermal insulation material is removably positioned in the pocket and configured to passively provide thermal insulation to the intimate part. The at least one insulating insert can provide an R-value of greater than about 3.5.

Abstract: A pullover-style shirt, the shirt comprising an exterior layer of fabric, an interior layer of fabric, an aperture in the exterior layer, securing means that serve to close the aperture when the aperture is not actively manipulated by a user, but that allow the easy opening of the aperture to display the interior layer when the aperture is actively manipulated by a user. The inventor contemplates that the interior layer should bear a graphic display that is exposed when the aperture is opened. The securing means are to be a system of opposite polarity magnets that sewn into the edges of the aperture, thus closing the aperture via their force of attraction when not restrained from one another. Still further, the inventor expressly contemplates that the aperture should be positioned so as to locate over the sternum of a user when the pullover top is worn.

Abstract: A multi-use wrap is provided which is wearable in myriad different styles, under various categories. The wrap preferably is a substantially rectangular piece of fabric having first and second opposed long edges and first and second opposed short edges, and having a seam along all edges including a fusible interfacing incorporated therein. The wrap can be a shawl that can be worn as a caplet, pinned, belted, off the shoulder, off two shoulders or buttoned down the back. The support base and base member can be integrally formed. The support base can be formed from part of the article or accessory or trim. The holder allows a wearer to insert a piece of a pair of glasses, or a part of another item, through the loop and allows the item to assume a secure and relatively flat position. It may include an RFID tag and/or a cover.

Abstract: A first aid systems for an ultra compact first-aid pouch configured to fit behind the ballistic plates of a protective vest are disclosed. In this configuration, the first-aid kit is protected from shrapnel and tearing, is easily locatable and removable and does not effect the user's freedom of movement. When the first-aid pouch is removed from its protected location, it presents the first-aid equipment in a logical and easily viewable manner.
