Abstract: A wearable article provides a non-slip connection between the wearer's bare skin and the surface of an adjacently located object. The wearable article includes correspondingly aligned and shaped interior and exterior grip material segments at one or more locations on the wearable article. The interior grip material segments and correspondingly aligned and shaped exterior grip material segments serve to significantly diminish and potentially eliminate all relative movement between the user's skin, the grip material on the inner facing surface of the wearable article, the material defining the wearable article, the grip material on the outer facing surface of the wearable article, and the surface of an adjacently located object. The correspondingly aligned and shaped interior and exterior grip material segments on the wearable article may be arranged in different sizes and patterns to suit the movements typically executed during a particular physical or sporting activity.
Abstract: A human arm support apparatus for use with a human seated, the apparatus includes a flexible planar member having a front end portion and a rear end portion; an aperture larger than a human head is therethrough the planar member with the aperture passed over the human head for the planar member to rest against a human's shoulders. Further included is a flexible surrounding sidewall affixed to the front end portion for receiving a human's arms to be supported, wherein the support comes from the rear end portion being wedged between the buttocks of the human and the seat, thus the aperture does not contact or put pressure upon the neck of the human.
Abstract: A suit of the present invention is a two-piece suit (1) including a coat (2) and trousers (3) and/or a skirt that are made from a woven fabric containing animal hair fibers and/or synthetic fibers. The coat (2) stretches more in the weft direction than in the warp direction, and the trousers (3) and/or skirt stretch more in the warp direction than in the weft direction. A method for producing the suit includes: for upper and lower parts of the suit, dyeing yarns of the same quality by the same method and producing woven fabrics that are woven in the same structure; differentiating stretchability of the woven fabrics in warp and weft directions in tentering processing by a heat set in a final finish step, thereby producing a cloth for coat and a cloth for trousers and/or skirt; and cutting and sewing the cloths. Thus, it is possible to provide a suit imparted with a function of high mobility even though it is a two-piece suit, and a method for producing the same.
Abstract: A method for fastening a button to a panel of fabric includes the steps of looping a thread having at least a thermo-fusible element between the button and the fabric panel to create at least two runs of thread between the panel and the button; gathering thread from the runs into mutual contact and applying heat to the shank to melt the thermo-fusible element of the runs of thread.
Abstract: A system and method which allows for a pre-constructed article of clothing to having printing on substantially all of its external surface area. Specifically, an image may be simultaneously printed across multiple components of a clothing article. The method generally provides for transfer of a digital image, such as a digital photograph, to be applied to an article of clothing in a manner that prints an entire two-dimensional surface of the clothing with a coherent image, that maintains coherency when the article of clothing is worn. There is also provided an article of clothing produced using the systems and methods.

Abstract: The claimed subject matter provides a tzitzit garment that meets halachic (e.g., Jewish law) requirements for wearing tzitzit strings (e.g., fringes) on the corners of a four-cornered garment. The tzitzit garment includes two layers, including an under layer that is made of compression material that wicks perspiration away from the body of a wearer and an outer layer that is a four cornered garment, has tzitzit strings at each of the four corners and is attached to the under layer. Furthermore, the claimed subject matter provides a pant garment that includes grips to hold the tzitzit strings in place to prevent interference during physical activity.
Abstract: A garment includes a front side and a back side. The front side and back side are coupled to surround at least part of a person's body. The front side includes a mesh outer shell and a lightweight inner mesh liner, and the inner mesh liner includes a material that provides moisture wicking. The back side includes a breathable material that substantially maintains three-dimensional breathability when the person rests upon it. The garment provides breathability substantially surrounding said at least part of the person's body.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to curable polysilyl phosphate compounds and compositions as well as related methods and flame-retardant textiles incorporating the same. Curable polysilyl phosphate compounds according to the disclosure include a hydrocarbon moiety comprising at least one phosphate group and more than two hydrolysable silyl groups linked to the hydrocarbon moiety. In some embodiments, the hydrocarbon moiety is derived from spirocyclic pentaerythritol diphosphoryl chloride. The curable polysilyl phosphate compound can applied to a textile substrate and then cured to provide a flame-retardant textile with the cured polysilyl phosphate compound as a coating bonded to the textile substrate.

Abstract: A post-surgical garment comprises a wrap-around material with pouches for comfortable placement of surgical drains. The garment provides a wrap around piece designed to keep the post-surgical drains and the tubing of the drains secure while showering, sponge bathing or during daily activities. A post-surgical drain is slipped through an opening on the side of the garment and any attached tubing is fed through. The post-surgical drain and excess tubing is placed in a pouch. Flaps are securely closed to cover the opening. The garment is then closed in the front with a secure closure.
Abstract: An upper body garment for supporting an infant adjacent the chest and upper belly of a wearer that includes a tubular garment body made from a stretchable fabric and comprising a front panel and a back panel, one or more breast panels extending from a top portion of the back panel and over the shoulders of the wearer; and a pouch panel extending from a lower portion of the breast panels. The pouch panel is secured along a U-shaped seam to an inside surface of the front panel to form a pouch with a top opening proximate the lower portion of the breast panels. The garment comprises a garment body configured to extend around a front of a user and to wrap around a seatback of a user's wheelchair and be secured together, an opening at the top of the garment body for a user's neck, and a pair of sleeves for receiving the arms of the user, and wherein at least one of the opposing sides of the garment body comprises fastening components which are removably secured together to secure the back of the garment body to the front of the garment body. Abstract: An infant cover that can be affixed to the open front edges of an item of clothing, such as a coat, to provide protection against weather elements to an infant carried by the person in the front, chest area of the person. The infant cover has a main panel and a pair of side panels that are oppositely disposed and extend outwardly from the main panel. A pair of folds is formed between the main panel and the side panels. One or more affixation devices are located in each fold to affix the infant cover to the front, open edges of the coat and span the area therebetween. The infant cover provides protection to an infant carried against the chest of the person by covering the normally open space present between the front edges of the unsecured coat so as to create a protective environment for the infant.
Abstract: An accessory adapter for mounting an ornamental piece with two opposing edges. The adapter has a body with two spaced members forming a cavity therebetween for receiving one of the edges. The body also has an exterior surface configured to be fixed to an anchoring portion for mounting the adapter on a human body or object. Abstract: A pocket may be applied to an article of clothing, particularly upper body clothing such as a shirt, blouse, jacket, coat, scrubs, t-shirt, sweatshirt, hoodie, or the like. The pocket is oriented at an angle with respect to horizontal (nominal) or vertical (upright) to improve retention of a contained object such as a mobile phone or a personal digital assistant. A return is formed by stitching a partial closure along one side of the pocket, positioned at the lowest “upper” corner of the pocket (upper meaning opening end), closest to the center line of the article of clothing, on either the right or left. Knit fabrics work particularly well for retaining a weighted object such as a mobile phone despite various user movements leaning to one side or the other, forward, and even bent double whereby rendering the article of clothing in an upside down orientation.
Abstract: A moisture control garment formed of a material that has moisture wicking (hydrophobic) properties joined to another material that has moisture absorbing (hydrophilic) properties. In certain embodiments, the moisture wicking and moisture absorbing materials are of similar thickness, have the same estimated shrinkage percentage, and the fibers of such materials are positioned in the same direction.

Also, a first mesh portion 4 having a tightening force weaker than the tightening force of the strong tightening portion 3 is formed in a section surrounded by the first strong tightening portions 3a.
Abstract: Articles of apparel include: (a) a garment structure having one or more fabric elements structured and arranged to provide a close fit to at least one predetermined portion of a body (e.g., area(s) of the body for which enhanced position sensing and/or feedback are desired); and (b) a body position feedback system engaged with or integrally formed as part of the garment structure. The body position feedback system may apply higher tensile or constricting (compressive) forces to selected portions of the wearer's body and/or stretch resistance, which can help stimulate or interact with nerves and deep tissue receptors located in various portions of the body. The increased forces at selected locations of the body give the wearer sensory feedback regarding the position or orientation of these parts of the body and can improve or accelerate development of “muscle memory.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a reversible shirt that may be worn in at least four different configurations. According to aspects described herein, a first torso element may be joined to a second torso element to create a pair of side seams, a pair of shoulder seams, a neck opening and a waist opening. The widths of the first torso element and the second torso element proximate the waist opening may differ to create curved side seams. The curved side seams allow for variation in drape against a wearer's torso.
Abstract: A garment has a pocket with an opening located at the waistband of the garment. A strap includes a stretchy membrane and at least one of the opposite ends of the strap extends into openings in the garment to form a horizontal pocket opening. The strap may be made of an elastic material. A fabric can conceal part of the strap and may surround or be attached to the strap. The pocket lining has front and rear walls attached together, with top horizontal portions of the front and rear wall attached behind an exposed portion of the strap. The walls of the pocket lining may be attached to two join seams of the garment. Stretching the strap outwards will open the pocket thus accessing belongings stored therein. When the pocket is closed, the elastic material of the strap provides stretch and recoil, securing any belongings safely inside the pocket.
Abstract: An elastic tubular undergarment having a plurality of portions is provided. Each portion has a different graphic. The tubular undergarment may be placed over a user's chest. A plunging neckline garment may be placed over the tubular undergarment, thereby exposing only a portion of the tubular undergarment. The tubular undergarment may be rearranged to expose a different portion, and thereby expose a different graphic. The graphic may include at least one of a color, design, and pattern.

Abstract: Laminates are described that contain a frangible layer adhered to at least one extensible layer, such as an elastic layer. In one embodiment, a frangible layer is positioned between two opposing elastic layers. The frangible layer includes lines of separation that generally extend in a first direction. The lines of separation allow the elastic layers to stretch and recover in a direction perpendicular or skew to the lines of separation. In one particular embodiment, the lines of separation comprise lines where the frangible layer has been weakened. The lines of separation can be formed after the laminate is made using groove rolls.

Abstract: A garment for wear by a human body having a localized fat accumulation includes an insulative and perspiration impermeable panel sized to conform to the localized fat accumulation. The garment also includes a supportive cover connected to the panel for retaining the panel in contact to the localized fat accumulation during wear, and a boning segment connected to the panel for supporting and shaping the body during wear. The garment may be in the form of a kit further including a wipe containing an absorbed anticellulite agent. The gripping device can be coupled to the article of clothing by an extension leash operatively coupled between the gripping device and the article of clothing. The disclosed apparatus can be configured to transition the gripping device from a non-use, stored, or stowed position to an extended position capable of being used by a wearer or user to increase the gripping effectiveness, strength or protection of the user.

Abstract: Multi-layer fabrics and products incorporating the same are described in which the fabrics are configured to provide asymmetric resistance to liquid flow from one side of the fabric to the other. In garments or other products worn by a user, the effect can be utilized to prevent penetration of liquids (e.g., rain droplets) and contact of liquids from the exterior with the user's skin while allowing for extraction of droplets (e.g., sweat) in contact with an inner layer of the fabric out of contact with the skin and accelerating their evaporation. Medical and industrial applications of the fabric are contemplated as well.
