Thereafter, the conformable material is solidified. Specifically, the distance between the mold and the substrate is controlled to a sufficient degree to attenuate, if not avoid, compressive forces between the mold and the substrate. As a result, upon initial contact of the mold with the conformable material, capillary filling of the volume between the mold and the substrate occurs.

Abstract: The invention relates to a composition for producing magnetic or magnetizable moldings, comprising from 95.5 to 98.95% by weight of a powder made of a magnetic or magnetizable material, from 1.0 to 4% by weight of a mixture made of at least one epoxy-novolak resin, and also of at least one hardener, and comprising from 0.05 to 0.5% by weight of at least one additive, based in each case on the total weight of the composition. The mixture made of the at least one epoxy-novolak resin and of the at least one hardener comprises from 85 to 95% by weight of the epoxy-novolak resin and from 5 to 15% by weight of hardener. The hardener has been selected from (cyclo)aliphatic amines and their adducts, polyamides, Mannich bases, amidoamines, phenolic resins, imidazoles, and imidazole derivatives, dicyandiamide, and BF3-monoethanolamine. The invention further relates to a process for producing the composition, and also to a process for producing a molding made of the composition.

  • Patent number: 8025829
Abstract: In accordance with the invention, step-and-repeat imprint lithography is effected by applying balanced pressing forces from both sides of a substrate. The pressing forces are substantially equal in amplitude and opposite in direction. With the pressing forces thus balanced, the fixture that steps and holds the substrate does not bear the load of imprinting. The balance allows use of a high resolution aligning stage to carry the substrate and to maintain high accuracy of positioning without being shifted by change of load. With this method, sufficient imprint pressure can be used to obtain high quality patterning, a thin and uniform residual layer, and a high fidelity pattern.

Abstract: Disclosed is an orally rapidly disintegrating tablet characterized in that the tablet can be produced in a conventional tablet manufacturing facility and has a satisfactory level of hardness for practical applications, and the change in properties of the tablet (i.e., decreased in hardness of the tablet, and delay of the disintegration time of the tablet in the oral cavity) are rarely caused by factors such as humidity. The orally rapidly disintegrating tablet has hardness of 40N or more, can be disintegrated in the oral cavity within 60 seconds, and is produced by compressing of a mixture of (a) an active ingredient, (b) an excipient having good water wettability, (c) a water-insoluble polymer that is well compactible and does not substantially cause a decrease in the water wettability of the excipient and (d) a disintegrating agent.

  • Patent number: 8021594
Abstract: A method/process for curing imprint on a template prior to contact with a substrate. A curing process is used to adhere the imprint to a wafer or substrate. Monomer is deposited on a template and then partially cured using a UV exposure. The exposure is controlled so that the imprint is cured past the gel point, but still retains a thin liquid layer of uncured monomer at the surface that will bond with the wafer. Further, this partially cured layer enables the alignment adjustments between the template and the substrate to be performed after contact between the two without pulling any monomer out of the features.
