The multiplexer conducts one of source output signals into to red (or green or blue) sub-pixels under control of control signals. In every time a frame is scanned or changed, the red (or green or blue) sub-pixels driven by the source output signal via the multiplexer are always in the same signal polarity, so the multiplexer consumes low power because voltage swing rates in source output signals are very low or almost zero.

Abstract: A display driving circuit having a plurality of driving stages and driving lines is provided. The driving stages are electrically coupled in serial, and each of the driving stages comprises a conducting path for transmitting an electric signal from the previous driving stage to the next driving stage via the current driving stage. Each of the driving lines respectively corresponds to a driving stage and electrically connects to an output terminal of the corresponding driving stage. The display driving circuit is characterized in that a redundant device is only installed in one part of the driving stages. The redundant device is capable of supplying an extra conducting path to transmit an electric signal from the previous driving stage to the next driving stage via the current driving stage while the original conducting path in the corresponding driving stage is broken.

Abstract: A gate wire is formed on the insulating substrate. The gate wire has gate lines, first and second gate electrodes connected to the gate lines, and gate pads. A gate insulating layer, first and second semiconductor layers and an ohmic contact layer are sequentially formed thereon. A data wire is formed on the ohmic contact layer. The data wire has first and second data lines, data line connectors, first and second source electrodes, first and second drain electrodes, and data pads. A passivation layer is formed on the data wire, and has contact holes respectively exposing the first and the second drain electrodes, and the gate and the data pads. Pixel electrodes, and subsidiary gate and data pads are formed on the passivation layer. As described above, the data line is provided at opposite sides of the pixel area so that variation in the pixel voltage due to the parasitic capacitance between the partitioned areas with different degree of misalignment is reduced.

Abstract: The invention provides a shift register which can function normally even with an abnormal register or a broken register while suppressing the manufacturing cost as little as possible. The shift register of the invention includes n regular registers (SR(1) to SR(n)) connected in series and n output lines (L1 to Ln) corresponding to the n regular registers, r (r?n) redundant registers (SR(n+1) to SR(n+r)) connected in series to the n regular registers, and a switch circuit for selectively connecting the regular and redundant resistors to output lines. The switch circuit connects the n regular registers to the corresponding output lines in a normal state, connects normal registers of upper and lower stages of the broken register by skipping and disabling the broken register if any, and connects normal regular registers and the same number of redundant registers as the broken registers to the n output lines.

Abstract: A method of reducing flickering and inhomogeneous brightness in an LCD. The method serially connects each scan line connecting a plurality of pixels in a row with a resistor to form a scan line circuit. The resistor is connected between the first pixel of the scan line and the voltage input terminal of the scan line, so that the gate voltage entering the TFT in the first pixel deforms. The voltage of the TFT decreases when it is turned off, minimizing screen flickering and inhomogeneous brightness due to the capacitor charge coupling effect between the first pixel and the last pixel on a scan line.
