Abstract: The invention discloses a liquid crystal display (LCD) panel manufacturing method as well as an LCD panel and an LCD. The manufacturing method comprises the following steps: A: Treating a surface of an electrode of an LCD panel, the surface at least comprising a contact surface with an Au ball, to diminish the adhesion of an alignment liquid to the contact surface and prevent the alignment liquid from not coating the contact surface; and B: Coating or printing the alignment liquid. Because the electrode surface to which an Au ball particle will be applied (namely the transfer pad) is treated before the application to diminish the adhesion of the alignment liquid to this surface, and no alignment layer will be formed on the surface of the transfer pad. Therefore, the alignment layer can be very wide, the uniformity of the alignment layer at the edge is good, the accuracy is high, the display effect on the edge of the LCD panel is improved, and the frame of the LCD panel is narrowed.

The perturbed arrangement may include the ions being covalently bonded to each other, to the embedded structure, or to the substrate, whereas the ions instead may be free to diffuse through the substrate in the absence of the embedded structure. The embedded structure may inhibit or impede the ions from diffusing through the substrate, such that the ions instead covalently bond to each other, to the embedded structure, or to the substrate. The film may include, for example, diamond-like carbon, graphene, or SiC having a pre-selected phase.

Abstract: A surface-stabilized in-plane switching (SS-IPS) liquid crystal (LCD) cell includes a pair of spaced substrates that include alignment layers disposed thereon. The alignment layers are treated to define a first director orientation. Disposed between the alignment layers is a liquid crystal material that contains polymer fibrils that are disposed upon each of the alignment layers. The polymer fibrils serve to maintain the alignment of the liquid crystal molecules in the first director orientation when no voltage is applied to the LCD cell via interdigitated electrodes disposed upon the alignment layers, thus improving the dynamic response of the SS-IPS LCD cell.
