Abstract: A core network element, such as a PCRF and/or an MME, can determine that a Quality of Service (QoS) Class Indicator (QCI) of particular bearer set up between the core network and user equipment (UE) should be changed to a new QCI. When a control node, such as the MME, determines that no teardown delay conditions are met, the control node can send a bearer release message to a base station that instructs the base station to tear down all bearers for the UE, even if they are in use. In a dual connectivity arrangement, such as a E-UTRAN New Radio-Dual Connectivity (EN-DC) configuration, the base station can instruct a secondary base station to also release all bearers for the UE. The control node can instruct the base station to reestablish the particular bearer with the new QCI when the base station reestablishes the bearers for the UE.

A first mesh network device includes processing logic that detects an error condition of a first wireless link to a next hop node in a wireless path between a second mesh network device and a third mesh network device. The processing logic sends, via a first radio of the first mesh network device, a first frame with a first path error message over a second wireless link to a precursor hop node in the wireless path. The first path error message identifies the error condition of the first wireless link. The processing logic generates a second frame with a copy of the first path error message and sends, via a secondary radio of the first mesh network device, the second frame with the copy of the first path error message.

Abstract: Technologies for extending a subnet across on-premises and cloud-based deployments are provided. An example method may include creating a VPC in a cloud for hosting an endpoint being moved from an on-premises site. For the endpoint to retain its IP address, a subnet range assigned to the VPC, based on the smallest subnet mask allowed by the cloud, is selected to include the IP address of the endpoint. The IP addresses from the assigned subnet range corresponding to on-premises endpoints are configured as secondary IP addresses on a Layer 2 (L2) proxy router instantiated in the VPC. The L2 proxy router establishes a tunnel to a cloud overlay router and directs traffic destined to on-premises endpoints, with IP addresses in the VPC subnet range thereto for outbound transmission. The cloud overly router updates the secondary IP addresses on the L2 proxy router based on reachability information for the on-premises site.

Abstract: Systems and methods for reducing fall back from long term evolution voice calls (VoLTE) to legacy systems. The system can include one or more lookup tables including ranges of internet protocol (IP) addresses for a plurality of user equipment (UE). The lookup tables can be stored on one or more network entities, such as on a proxy call session control function (PCSCF). In the event that a policy charging rules function (PCRF) is unable to establish a Gx session with the relevant packet gateway (PGW), the PCSCF can provide the name and/or the IP address for the appropriate PGW to the PCRF. The PCRF can then send a session request AVP to the IP address to cause the PGW to initiate Gx binding. The system enables VoLTE calls to be established despite problems with the PCRF and reduces fallback to legacy systems.

  • Patent number: 10979300
Abstract: Computing device and methods for performing synchronization and resynchronization of networking information with a server. During standard operations, local networking data discovered by the computing device are transmitted to the server, and server networking data (discovered by the server) are received from the server. Upon occurrence of a pre-defined event at the computing device preventing exchange of information between the computing device and the server, a resynchronization of the local networking data and server networking data is performed. The synchronization and resynchronization mechanisms are based on unique version numbers respectively generated by the computing device and the server.

  • Patent number: 10972382
Abstract: A node in a mesh network includes insertion circuitry to selectively delay first packets prior to insertion in a mesh network by a first time interval corresponding to a maximum failure detection time interval for the mesh network based on whether a failure has been detected in the mesh network. The node includes reception circuitry configured to selectively delay second packets received from the mesh network by a second time interval depending on whether the failure has been detected. The second time interval equals a maximum latency for the mesh network minus a sum of the maximum failure detection time interval and a propagation time along a working path. If a failure is detected, the second packets are delayed by a third time interval determined based on the maximum latency, the maximum failure detection time interval, and a propagation time along a backup path for the working path.

Abstract: A radio terminal according to an embodiment includes: a controller configured to set a sidelink gap for executing a sidelink operation at a frequency to which a neighbor cell different from a serving cell belongs; and a transmitter configured to transmit, to the serving cell, a predetermined message for indicating that the radio terminal is not interested in the sidelink operation or a measurement report related to a radio environment of the radio terminal. If the predetermined message or the measurement report is transmitted, the controller autonomously releases the sidelink gap configuration even if a message for releasing the sidelink gap configuration is not received from the serving cell.

  • Patent number: 10972235
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for offloading traffic flows without service disruption are disclosed herein. User equipment (UE) is configured to receive an indication that a current packet data network (PDN) connection can be optimized. The current PDN connection is established over a first PDN gateway (PGW). The UE requests connection over a new PDN connection to a same type of service as the current PDN connection without releasing the connection over the first PGW. The UE routes new traffic flows over a second PGW corresponding to the new PDN connection and routes old traffic flows over the first PGW.
