Abstract: Systems, products, and methods are disclosed for enabling access to encrypted data stored on a portable storage medium. In one embodiment, an attempt to communicate with a certain intranet is made. If this attempt succeeds, then access is granted to the data stored on the portable storage device, but if access to the intranet is not granted, then access to the data stored on the portable storage device is also not granted. Denying access can include preventing the portable storage device from even being recognized by a requesting device, being recognized but not presented, or can include showing that such encrypted data exists, but denying access to the data in an unencrypted format.

The clients (C1-C4) in the data network subscribe to CTI Services and in this regard must be reachable by the CSTA gateway (CCGW). If this is not the case, because for example an error occurs in the data network, then the transmission of unnecessary messages should be prevented or stopped. The problem is solved in that the clients are connected via a server (XS) to the CCGW, wherein the server monitors the Status of the clients and acknowledges the messages addressed to an unreachable client with error messages. The server (XS) is preferably an XMPP server and the clients (C1-C4) are preferably XMPP clients.

Abstract: A packetised data network includes IP telephones (ITs) and a network intelligence (NI). All of the keys of each IT are “soft” keys (i.e., they have no fixed function). The NI associates a configuration data structure with the IT which correlates the keys with functions, and, based on this, may control the display of the IT to indicate the current function of certain of the soft keys. Some of the functions are requests for data services at the telephone (e.g., video or programmed audio over the internet). When a user requests such a service with a key press, the NI sets up the service between the data source and the telephone. This may require associating a new configuration data structure with the keys of the IT. The IT user may activate multiple data services through the NI.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for botnet analysis and visualization. Network traffic is filtered to compile a list of messages. The identified messages are tokenized, classified, and aggregated and changes in the frequency of tokenized messages are identified. A display of the tokenized messages is generated and displayed via a user interface. The user interface is configured to a allow a user to review data generated based on the filtered network traffic in order to detect potential botnet activity. User input may be used to adjust filtering and tokenization of the messages.

The user device registers with the application proxy for the application. The user device is prevented from transmitting application update request messages to the application server. The application proxy transmits application update request messages to the application server on behalf of the user device. The application proxy receives application update response messages from the application server. The application proxy determines, based on the application update response messages from the application server, whether to send an application update notification message toward the user device. In this manner, application update traffic normally transmitted via the network between the user device and the application proxy is reduced. The application update request and response messages may be polling messages, keep-alive messages, and the like.

Using an interactive voice response menu or an application portal, the user can assign callers to calling classes and specify call handling rules and schedules. A rejected call handler includes a voice interface, a switch control, a voicemail, interactive voice response, call progress simulator, in-message options, in-call options, post-call options, and other components. Abstract: A multi-mode line driver circuit designed to be fabricated in a CMOS process and capable of supporting a plurality of operating modes corresponding, for example, to different profiles of communication standards such as xDSL standards. The line driver circuit incorporates integrated mode switches with a two-stage amplifier architecture to relax amplifier requirements by distributing the signal gain into two amplifier stages. Reconfigurable feedback loops are provided to permit design optimization for particular modes of operation (e.g., ADSL and VDSL compliant modes). In one embodiment implemented as a Class-H amplifier, lift amplifier(s) are provided between a first amplifier stage and a second amplifier stage for controlling voltage supply levels of the second amplifier stage. The lift amplifiers may be enabled by voltage threshold detection circuitry that monitors either the input or the output signals of the first amplifier stage depending on the operable transmission mode.

Abstract: A system and method for providing an easy-to-use interface for verifying semantic tags in a steering application in order to generate a natural language grammar. The method includes obtaining user responses to open-ended steering questions, automatically grouping the user responses into groups based on their semantic meaning, and automatically assigning preliminary semantic tags to each of the groups. The user interface enables the user to validate the content of the groups to ensure that all responses within a group have the same semantic meaning and to add or edit semantic tags associated with the groups. The system and method may be applied to interactive voice response (IVR) systems, as well as customer service systems that can communicate with a user via a text or written interface.

Abstract: A method for inhibiting infection of network destinations by malware comprising detecting behavior consistent with the presence of malware at first network clients, such as access by a message received at a first network client to addressing resources containing an address of a malware evaluator. Detecting malware at the first clients is advantageously accomplished at one or more malware evaluators by receipt of messages forwarded from the first network clients, the forwarded messages comprising selectively flagged information relating to malware suspicions. Malware evaluators advantageously comprise a Bayesian Learning Network trained with knowledge of malware characteristics and forwarded messages. The malware evaluators, when adequately trained, provide classifications of received messages as malware or not, with at least a predetermined likelihood. Results of such classification can be selectively made available to network clients, including the first network clients.

A speech signal can be decompressed even if no network synchronizing signal is output from the baseband processing portion.
