Abstract: A track assembly for assisting in moving a farm implement along a ground surface in a line of travel is provided. The track assembly includes a tilt arm comprising front and rear ends. The track assembly includes a camber arm coupled to the tilt arm such that the camber arm permits the tilt arm to pivot about a first axis perpendicular to the line of travel and a second axis parallel to the line of travel. The camber arm is located between the front and rear ends of the tilt arm.

Abstract: An intelligent work vehicle preheating system includes an electric drive subsystem containing a battery pack, a hydraulic subsystem containing a first hydraulic fluid (HF) heating device, and a first HF temperature sensor. A memory stores a first minimum target temperature at or above which a first hydraulic fluid body contained in the hydraulic subsystem is desirably maintained. A controller architecture selectively places the intelligent work vehicle preheating system in an off-duty preheat mode when the electric drive subsystem is connected to an external power supply utilized to charge the battery pack. The controller architecture further controls the HF heating device to heat the first hydraulic fluid body when (i) the intelligent work vehicle preheating system is placed in the off-duty preheat mode, and (ii) the current temperature of the first hydraulic fluid body is less than the first minimum target temperature.

A frame lock can selectively lock and unlock the machine frame to permit the width adjustment. A controller includes a frame extension mode configured to steer at least one ground engaging unit to provide a lateral force to adjust the width of the machine frame as the machine is driven across the ground surface by the ground engaging units.

Abstract: Methods of and apparatus for controlling relative telescoping extension or retraction of multiple telescoping assemblies is provided. The telescoping assemblies connect the main frame of a slipform paver to a side member of the slipform paver. Each telescoping assembly has a telescopic lock associated with the telescoping assembly. A common telescoping force is applied across the telescoping assemblies to widen or narrow the frame width of the slipform paver. Extension of the telescoping assemblies is monitored, and activation of the telescopic locks is controlled so as to determine which of the telescoping assemblies is allowed to telescope under application of the common telescoping force.

Abstract: A concrete finishing machine includes a mobile frame supported above the slab on front and rear wheels with at least one screed roller and a plurality of vibrators are suspended from the frame between the front and rear wheels. The front and rear wheels are rotatable at least ninety degrees between a longitudinally directed traveling orientation and a laterally directed concrete finishing orientation. The front and rear wheels are driven and steerable so that the mobile frame may travel longitudinally down a lane of a road, and then upon pivoting of the wheels, move laterally over a hole in an adjacent lane having uncured concrete to be finished by the finishing machine.

An additive, in particular a urea solution for operating an exhaust gas treatment system, is provided in an operating material tank which is integrated in the fuel tank or water tank of the construction machine. The integration of the operating material tank in the fuel tank or water tank does not necessitate any modifications to the machine frame, and therefore it is not necessary to have different production lines for construction machines having or not having an exhaust gas treatment system.

The saw apparatus has a frame mounted on a ground contacting propulsion member such that the frame straddles above a slab to be cut without touching the slab. A first saw support assembly disposes one or more blades of a saw in cutting engagement with the slab for a transverse cut. A second saw support assembly disposes a blade of another saw in cutting engagement with the slab for a longitudinal cut. The saw assemblies are configured to selectively, in a single pass along and over a slab, cut, vacuum, clean via pressurized air, fill a cut slot, and apply sealant to a cut slot concurrently with respect to a slot and sequentially with respect to a point of a slot.

The guard includes six surfaces mutually perpendicular to each other. The guard includes a cavity which defines a first opening in the first surface and a second opening in the third surface. The guard also includes an insert hole longitudinally extending from the second surface to the cavity. The wheel having a through hole is positioned inside the cavity and extends partially outwards from the guard through the second opening in rolling contact with extender walkway.

The hollow guard includes a first hole in a first transverse member and a second hole in a second transverse member. The pin extends therethrough between the first hole and the second hole of the hollow guard. The pin couples the wheel assembly with the main walkway. The wheel is mounted on the pin and positioned inside the hollow guard. The wheel extends above the hollow guard and is in a rolling contact with the extender walkway.

The substantially continuous and laminar sheet of liquid mixture urges aggregate from the conveyance zone and filler material from the filler material feeder downward in the vertical transition zone toward the agitation zone and reduces static electricity buildup in the filler material.

Abstract: A system and method for mounting a wear bar to a screed frame in a screed assembly may include providing a first set of frame alignment holes on the screed frame, the first set of frame alignment holes having a substantially horizontal orientation. A bolster swing leg for each crawler track supports an upright jacking column. A worm gear drive permits rotational movements of the crawler track and the jacking column. A hinge bracket is interposed between each swing leg and a surface of the bolsters to enable pivotal movements of the swing leg. A length-adjustable holder engages the pivot pin on the hinge bracket and pivotally engages the swing leg. The holder permits pivotal motions of the swing leg in its length-adjustable configuration and prevents substantially any motion of the swing leg in its fixed-length configuration. A feedback loop cooperates with transducers keeping the crawler tracks position. The paving machine can be reconfigured into a narrowed transport configuration.

The present invention is characterized in that a limiting device is also provided which limits the maximum load of the at least one damping element upon lifting of the construction machine via the operator platform structure and allows a direct force relay between the operator platform structure and the machine frame while bypassing the damping element. The construction machine is preferably a tandem roller.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to systems and methods implemented in a pothole patching system for creating a vacuum that pulls heavy particulate, such as gravel, out of a hopper. For example, according to an embodiment, a vacuum body having a vacuum chamber formed therein is positioned proximate to an opening of the hopper. A moveable slide gate is provided between the vacuum chamber and the opening of the hopper. The slide gate moves between open and closed positions for permitting and blocking communication between the vacuum chamber and the hopper. A reduction nozzle is provided between an air source and the vacuum chamber. Forced air flows from the air source, through the reduction nozzle, and into the vacuum chamber. The reduction nozzle reduces the pressure of the forced air entering the vacuum chamber, and thereby creates a vacuum in the vacuum chamber. When the slide gate is in the open position, this vacuum pulls particulate from the hopper.

Abstract: The machinery system and its application herewith, intended to create an opening in the roof of a Reactor Primary Containment of Generation II and III Nuclear Power Electric Generating Station. This opening is necessary to replace an aging nuclear reactor with a new, safer and more efficient reactor. Generation II and III Nuclear Power Electric Generating Stations include General Electric (GE) Boiling Water Reactor BWR/2, 3, 4, 5 and BWR/6 located in Mark II, and Mark III wet containments and Pressurized Water Reactors manufactured by Westinghouse, Combustion Engineering and Babcock and Wilcox located in dry containments. Until this time, existing reactor replacement was not possible due to Reactor Primary Containment structural enclosure configuration. The Dual Head Vertical Milling Machine System will remove a Reactor Primary Containment Dome Segment thus providing an opening, allowing reactor replacement and the electric generating station to remain operational for an other 40 years and beyond.

The present invention makes use of a guide frame to support and guide the tire deflation device towards the intended destination. The energy storing mechanism stores the energy required to launch the tire deflation device. The push train delivers the energy to the tire deflation device. The launching of the tire deflation device is triggered by a wireless remote system, otherwise known as the wireless trigger mechanism.

The two sections are pivotally coupled for rotational movement about a pivot point. Elevation of the second section is measured and used to rotate the first section as the floating screed device is moved through a volume of the plastic concrete that is unfinished. As a result, the second section pitches to follow the first section.
