  • Publication number: 20020026670
Abstract: An infant blanket/towel is provided having one or more teething elements and/or pacifiers attached thereto. The invention is conveniently used by draping the blanket/towel across the infant's chest and stomach and initially providing one of the teething or pacifier elements into the infant's grasp. When and if the infant drops the teething or pacifier element, the element does not fall to the floor or otherwise out of the infant's reach. Because the blanket/towel generally remains draped across the infant, the pacifier or teething element merely slips down onto the infant's chest. By the infant's natural tendency to grip the blanket/towel and thrust the blanket/towel into its mouth, the infant frequently can relocate the pacifier or teething element and re-position it into its mouth.

  • Patent number: 6088852
Abstract: A bed linen is provided for positioning on a mattress that serves as a sheet, pillow cover, blanket and bedspread all at the same time. A bottom fabric sheet is provided that has a width much greater than that of a mattress on which it will be disposed so that it drapes over the sides of the mattress like a bedspread. A top fabric sheet is either connected to a central section of the width of the bottom sheet, the top fabric sheet having a width approximately equal (or less) to that of the mattress and connected to the bottom sheet by stitching along all of one side edge, the bottom edge, and the bottom half or more of the second side edge, and unconnected at the top; or the top sheet has a width substantially equal to that of the bottom sheet. A readily releasable connection, preferably a zipper, is provided between the top and bottom sheets to allow access to a sleeping volume between them.

  • Patent number: 6061851
Abstract: A connected bed sheet assembly has a fitted bottom sheet and a top sheet aligned with and interconnected to the bottom sheet along a single aligned end and along a single aligned edge, leaving one free end and one free edge. The fitted bottom sheet is formed to fully cover the upper surface of a mattress and extend over the sides and partially underneath the mattress to removably secure the assembly to the mattress. Elastic members are connected to a portion of the ends and edges of the bottom sheet for secure retention to the mattress. The top sheet extends over the bottom sheet from the interconnected end and edge and over the upper surface of the mattress with its free end adjacent to the head of the mattress and its free edge draping over the edge of the mattress.

  • Patent number: 6032308
Abstract: A protective comforter cover bag includes a rectangular bag body having a first cover sheet and a second cover sheet peripherally connected together to define an interior comforter cavity therebetween. The first cover sheet has an inlet access for placing at least a comforter piece into the comforter cavity of the cover bag. The inlet access is an U-shape opening extending along a first side, a second side and a third side of the first cover sheet of the bag body. The protective comforter cover bag further comprises a securing means and an mounting means. The securing means is positioned along the U-shape opening for shutting the inlet access. The mounting means comprises a plurality of busteners affixed to at least four corners of the bag body for firmly attaching with at least four corners of the comforter piece placed within the bag body so as to mount the comforter piece evenly spread in position.

  • Patent number: 6023798
Abstract: An adjuster (100) for use on a pillow, comprising a sheet-like flexible body (200) which is foldable up or down onto itself to provide different thicknesses and has, at or close to a lower edge, a central region (400). The region (400) has a zero or relatively much smaller thickness than that of the body (200) such that opposite sides of the region (400) provide a relatively larger thickness and hence firmer support than the region (400). The region (400) may preferably be a gap (400) formed between a pair of opposed flaps (300) protruding from the body (200).

  • Patent number: 6014782
Abstract: A protective mattress cover for the foot of a mattress which can fit mattresses having varying thicknesses is disclosed. The mattress cover adjustably connects to itself underneath the mattress or to the box spring decking material beneath the mattress. In this way, the mattress cover can firmly wrap mattresses having various thicknesses. The mattress cover protects the mattress from soiling during testing by a consumer. The mattress cover is preferably made of a clear material so that the mattress appearance, product information, labels and logos are not obscured.

Abstract: The combination includes a featherbed and a relatively thin, down-filled top member which has a peripheral outline substantially identical to that of the featherbed. The top member is positioned on the upper surface of the featherbed. Attachment elements such as straps, ties and/or buttons or even a cover member are used to removably secure the top member in place on the upper surface of the featherbed and to prevent the top member from shifting position on the featherbed during use thereof.

  • Patent number: 6006383
Abstract: A mattress cover, for use on an air inflatable mattress which reduces the risk of bed sores in long term patients. The cover has a top sheet and side sheets attached to opposite edges of the top sheet. The length of the top sheet, in a laid-flat state, is greater than the length of the side sheets attached to the top sheet. This allows the cover to closely follow the undulating nature of the inflatable cells of the mattress, and zero pressure may be achieved. The cover may also comprise end sheets, an outer skirt, and a base portion. The present invention also provides a method of making cover, which comprises the step of stretching the side portions, while the top sheet is in a substantially unstretched condition, and then joining the side sheets in their stretched condition to the top sheet.

  • Patent number: 5996147
Abstract: A sheet construction adapted to secure a pillow and to fittingly engage a mattress includes a main panel having a first pouch at a first end of the panel and a second pouch at a second end of the panel. The first pouch is sized and shaped to encompass a first end of the mattress, while the second pouch is adapted to encompass a second end of the mattress. The second pouch includes cooperating flaps that extend from the main panel and overlap. An auxiliary panel cooperates with the main panel to form a pillow-receiving concealment pocket. The pouches secure the sheet construction to the mattress, and the concealment pocket maintains a pillow in a desired location during use. In an alternative embodiment, the pouches are sized and oriented to encompass the mattress sides.

Abstract: A protective cover for an infant or child in a baby swing or infant carrier device such as a baby car seat, bicycle seat, or stroller. The cover has a top sheet and a bottom sheet formed by folding a single continuous sheet. The top and bottom sheet are removably connected by snaps or a zipper. The snaps are aligned and spaced an equal distance apart along the outer edges of the sheets, so the size of the enclosure can be adjusted by fastening the relevant snaps. The top sheet has an adjustable flap defining an opening for the baby's head.

  • Patent number: 5966758
Abstract: A dust ruffle assembly for forming dust ruffles using dust ruffle components on one, two, or three sides of a bed while allowing adjustments for height, fullness, bed size, and number of dust ruffle layers. The dust ruffle assembly is positioned between the mattress and box springs of a bed. Dust ruffle components are attached to strips, and the strips are fastened to support members. The device permits adjustment of the dust ruffle height to accommodate bed frames and foundations of different heights. The fullness of a dust ruffle layer is quickly adjusted by adding additional dust ruffle components. The strips and support members accommodate a range of mattress sizes, and the dust ruffle components are interchangeable on beds of different sizes. The support members accommodate multiple strips for forming more than one dust ruffle layer on one, two, or three sides of a bed.
