In some embodiments, the method comprises: receiving information about content placements; generating a user interface that includes the information and selectable content management options; receiving a selection of a first content management option for a first content placement; configuring a tag for the first content placement, wherein the tag is associated with instructions for executing the first content management option; receiving, from a web browser that loaded a web page including the first content placement, a request for the instructions for executing the first content management option; and sending the instructions to the web browser to execute the instructions and send information about the web page to a location indicated by the instructions.

Abstract: An information processing apparatus is provided and operates as a managing server that distributes incentive using transfer device information with respect to content. A communication unit receives inter-device transfer information with respect to output content from an information providing device, the information being in the form of device identifiers for at least the information providing device and one or more user devices that executed content transfers. A controller then executes processing to designate the incentive recipients as being the device managers associated with the acquired device identifiers. In so doing, incentive can be distributed to the managers or users of user devices that relay content between an information providing device and a product purchaser.

Abstract: A lighting system for temporal, irradiance-controlled photoacclimation includes a photoacclimation controller configured to generate control signals based on a photoacclimation schedule, a user interface configured to receive user input to the photoacclimation controller, the photoacclimation schedule based on the user input, a plurality of luminaires configured to emit light suitable for photosynthesis in plants at a plurality of different selectable levels of light output, and a communications network via which the control signals are provided to the plurality of luminaires, the luminaires adjusting the light output in response to the control signals.

Abstract: In accordance with embodiments, there are provided mechanisms and methods for facilitating smart advertising on curated content-based networking websites in an on-demand services environment in a multi-tenant environment according to one embodiment. In one embodiment and by way of example, a method includes receiving a request for advertisement on a website, where the request may be received from an advertising organization. The method may further include estimating one or more factors relating to the advertisement, computing, based on the estimation, expected revenue relating to the advertisement, and placing the advertisement on the website based on the expected revenue.

Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for personalized network content generation and redirection according to time intervals between repeated instances of behavior. A computing device determines an expectation of a specific entity repeating a behavior associated with an item based at least in part on a time interval between prior occurrences of the behavior by the specific entity. The computing device then selects the item from a plurality of items based at least in part on the expectation of the specific entity repeating the behavior. Subsequently, the computing device generates a network page including a recommendation to repeat the behavior. Next, the computing device sends the network page to a client device associated with the specific entity.

Abstract: System, methods, and other embodiments described herein relate to modeling dynamic agents in a surrounding environment of an ego vehicle. In one embodiment, a method includes, in response to receiving sensor data including present observations of a road agent of the dynamic agents in the surrounding environment, identifying previous observations of the road agent from an electronic data store. The method includes estimating a future state of the road agent using at least the present observations and the previous observations of the road agent to compute the future state according to a probabilistic model comprised of a transition model that accounts for dynamic behaviors of the road agent to characterize transitions between states, and an agent model that accounts for actions of the road agent. The method includes controlling one or more vehicle systems of the ego vehicle according to the future state of the road agent.

Abstract: Document heading detection includes performing a classification on each of a plurality of paragraphs of a document to identify each paragraph as either a heading or non-heading paragraph. The classification is based on one or more pre-established values corresponding to one or more pre-established formatting features that are indicative of a heading paragraph relative to currently established values for each of the one or more pre-established formatting features in each of the plurality of paragraphs. Document heading detection further includes determining a strength of each of the one or more heading paragraphs by performing a linear regression on each heading paragraph and assigning each of the one or more heading paragraphs a heading level within a hierarchy of heading levels based on the determined strength.

Abstract: An Internet-based Commercial Content Provider Controller (CCPC) system and method that allows individual users to select and modify the commercial content provider, control the commercial content (ads) layout and choice of the commercial content provided with the Web page or as part of the search engine results delivered to such users by various Websites and search engines. The CCPC establishes and provide user with selection options and control over the CCPs and ad formats as part of the registration process or as a plugin for the browser, and further allows to replace ads appearing in the Web page results and search engine results by reference to the ad pattern database of commonly used ad pattern for Web sites that include commercial content, ad content providers and search engines in different regions and replacing the ads with those that correspond to user's preferences and CCP choices concerning ad content.

Abstract: A method, device and system for forwarding a multicast data packet are provided. The system is an extended bridge constructed by a controlling bridge and a port extender. The controlling bridge transmits a multicast data packet with an ETAG having a multicast ECID via a cascade port, and the multicast ECID directs to egress ports in different VLANs of the multicast group on a port extender connected with the cascade port. The port extender receives the packet with the ETAG via an upstream port connected with the controlling bridge, searches for multicast duplication information matching the multicast ECID, duplicates the packet for each egress port based on the multicast duplication information, removes the ETAG of each copy of the packet, adds a port identification and a VLAN identification of each egress port to each copy of the packet, and transmits the packet containing the VLAN identification via each egress port.

Abstract: A method of processing media output events, each having a corresponding duration, from a plurality of media content receivers within a media distribution system, comprises: a. dividing the output events into a plurality of segments, such that output events having similar properties are placed into the same one of said segments; b. within each said segment, identifying a long duration threshold based on the distribution of the durations of the output events within that segment; c. and applying the long duration thresholds of each said segment for control and/or analysis of the media distribution system.

The client application is configured to: determine geographic location information of the radio receiver; determine radio broadcasts that are available to the radio receiver using the geographical location information; select metadata, from metadata stored in the memory, that is associated with the radio broadcasts available to the radio receiver; and present information included in the selected metadata using the display according to the received radio broadcast signal.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for associating a plurality of Internet-enabled devices with a common user profile for targeting Internet content or advertising. One method includes: receiving, from a plurality of Internet-enabled devices, a plurality of requests for electronic content or advertising; extracting, from each of the plurality of requests, a source IP address and a unique identifier associated with the respective Internet-enabled device; identifying each possible pair of devices from which requests were received; calculating for each possible pair of devices a probability that the pair of devices are owned or operated by a common user; and prompting a user to either confirm a characteristic of a prior browsing session or to log-in to an account associated with the common user based on a comparison of the calculated probability to one or more thresholds.

Abstract: Systems and methods for performance-based content delivery are disclosed. A performance management service can define client performance categories based on performance data regarding content requesting, delivery and rendering, and thereby enable content providers to generate or update content based on characteristics of different performance categories in order to improve user experience. The performance management service may also predict performance categories for clients with respect to their currently submitted content requests based on applicable client classification criteria. The performance management service can provide the category prediction to content providers so that a version of the requested content appropriate for the predicted category is transmitted to the client.

Abstract: Techniques are described for fulfilling an utterance request for an item represented within a video rendered at a client device. In some implementations, a user account associated with the request is identified, enabling a video stream transmitted in association with the user account at the time that the request was uttered to be identified. In one technique, a timestamp associated with the request is used to identify the relevant portion of the video stream. The item represented within the portion of the video stream can be identified using various techniques and/or information such as image recognition, metadata within the video, subtitles, closed captions, and/or a database mapping between the item and a video content item transmitted in the video stream.

Abstract: A method and system for automatically blocking recorded robocalls. Caller identification information from an incoming is checked with plural different tests and with one test that requires a caller input a selection input. Requiring a response from such a selection input provides an additional level of detection for recorded robocalls. In addition, plural different cloud based databases of known robocall numbers are checked with plural different tests with cloud based Software as a Service (SaaS) applications to provide other levels of detection for recorded robocalls. The method and system automatically identify and process recorded robocalls and help prevent call spoofing and neighbor spoofing by recorded robocalls.

Abstract: In an example embodiment, a first payload in a first electronic communication is received, the first payload containing localization information regarding a first node in a taxonomy of objects, categories, and characteristics. The first payload is parsed to identify one or more dependencies. For each of the one or more dependencies, a dummy node in the taxonomy corresponding to the dependency is created, the dummy node containing information about the dependency from the first payload. A search mechanism is provided to a graphical user interface, the search mechanism designed to receive user interactions from a user and cause one or more hardware processors to retrieve and cause display of information in one or more of the dummy nodes in the taxonomy.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed to update ads on user devices that may connect to a network only intermittently by predicting and tracking various metrics associated with ads delivered to the user devices.

Abstract: A system that incorporates the subject disclosure may perform, for example, operations including determining a representative trajectory of a number of mobile devices relative to a media presentation device, such as a digital billboard. An audience of the number of mobile devices is identified and user characteristics are obtained of the audience. A representative interest of the audience is determined from the user characteristics of the audience, and a media content item is selected according to the representative interest and the representative trajectory. The media content item is presented at the media presentation device to expose the audience to the media content item. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Abstract: Described in detail herein are systems and methods for HS code assignment. The system includes a data storage system that combines suppliers' quotes of items along with a classification database. The supplier quote can include tariff codes for all import items. The classification database can include all previously classified items. A first set of information associated with a new item is input into the system. The system can attempt to match the new item to a previously classified item based on the first set of information. If the system is unable to match the new item based on the first set of information the system can retrieve a second set of information including, the department/category to which the new item is assigned, along with the materials the new item is made up of and a description of the new item.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are directed to a mobile device system, methods and computer program products for providing a centralized, integrated resource transfer application on the mobile device. The integrated resource transfer application of the mobile device is typically configured to launch, control, modify and operate applications stored on the mobile device. In this regard, the integrated resource transfer application facilitates the user to perform a user activity, using multiple applications from a centralized user interface, without requiring the user to open and close one application after another. Another aspect of the integrated resource transfer application is directed to determination of pertinent applications for the user activity and automatic launching the applications within the central interface, by transferring control between applications, automatically, and in a suitable order.

Abstract: A computer implemented method for updating a secondary database includes receiving transaction log information from a primary database system at a secondary database system. The transaction log information comprises a first marker identifying a beginning of an operation comprising a plurality of sub-operations and a second marker identifying an end of the operation. The transaction log information is sequentially parsed, a first marker is identified, and a lock state is created after replaying the first marker to ensure proper serialization of the plurality of sub-operations. The lock state is terminated after replaying the second marker. Related apparatus, systems, techniques and articles are also described.

Abstract: The systems and methods disclosed herein can increase the speed and ease with which a user can discover compatible replacement parts for a specified model of a product by automatically determining when the user is interested in replacement parts. A replacement part system can conclude that a user is looking for replacement parts based on the user's search queries, the user's browsing behavior, or the user's prior purchases. By automatically deducing an intention to purchase a replacement part, the replacement part system can make it easier for a user to locate suitable replacement parts. In addition, the replacement part system can be configured to tailor listing set of replacement parts search results it provides to a user. The set of search results can be tailored based on a number of criteria to increase the speed with which the user finds a compatible replacement part.

Abstract: The DYNAMIC MEDIA-PRODUCT SEARCHING PLATFORM APPARATUSES, METHODS AND SYSTEMS (“DMPSP”) transforms media source, product, and user inputs into product metadata and transactions outputs. Abstract: Searching for documents includes retrieving objects from a physical media image using a camera from a smartphone, a user selecting a subset of the objects, forming a search query based on the subset of objects, and applying the search query to a search engine to search for the documents. Retrieving objects from a media image may include waiting for a view of the camera to stabilize. Waiting for the view of the camera to stabilize may include detecting changing content of a video flow provided to the camera and/or using motion sensors of the camera to detect movement. Retrieving objects may include the smartphone identifying possible subsets of objects in the media image. The user selecting a subset of the objects may include the smartphone presenting at least some of the possible subsets to the user and the user selecting one of the possible subsets.

Abstract: A method of optimizing online advertising campaign allocations is disclosed. It is determined that an auction for a set of advertising slots has been triggered. It is identified that the advertising campaigns are configured to bid on the set of advertising slots. A ranking score for each of the advertising campaigns is determined. The ranking scores are adjusted for each cost-per-click advertising campaign of the set of advertising campaigns by an adjustment factor specific to a context of the auction. The set of advertising slots is allocated to the winners of the auction. The winners of the auction are communicated for integration into a content page.

Abstract: Techniques and systems are described for analyzing components of digital marketing content as part of a digital marketing campaign. A computing device of an analytics system receives user interaction data that describes an effect of user interaction with a plurality of items of digital marketing content on achieving an action. The analytics system identifies which of a plurality of components are included in respective items of digital marketing content. The analytics system then generates outcome data describing a likely effect of the plurality of components on achieving the action based on association with respective items of digital marketing content. Additionally, the analytics system generates a recommendation to configure a subsequent item of digital marketing content based on the outcome data. The recommendation is based on the likely effect of the different ones of the plurality of components, to generate more effective digital marketing content items for digital marketing campaigns.

In general, a fuel dispenser can be in communication with a media library configured to facilitate delivery of media to the fuel dispenser for output therefrom. The media library is configured to query one or more media sources for media information and to retrieve media information therefrom that is specific to the fuel dispenser. Additionally or alternatively, the media library is configured to query the one or more media sources for updates to the retrieved media information and, if updated, to retrieve the updated media content from the media source(s).

Abstract: An email payment gateway configured to enable users to receive @PAY offers using print media quick response (QR) codes. A consumer views an advertisement or product having packing with a QR code and scans the QR code. Scanning the QR code generates an email addressed to the email payment gateway requesting information on the product, which is sent to the email payment gateway. The email payment gateway receives the email and responds to the consumer with an email that includes information on the products in the advertisement. Included in the email from the email payment gateway is a button enabling the recipient to purchase the relevant item. The button preferably includes a mail-to hyperlink as that generates an outgoing email reply requesting to purchase the product.

The target poster receives a notification of the content post request and is prompted to respond with a qualifying post. Constraints for a qualifying post may include, amongst other things, a predetermined time period during which the post must be submitted, preclusion of other system or application functions until submission of a qualifying post, inclusion of a photo captured by a camera integrated into the target poster's computing device, and capturing of such a photo at a geographic location proximate where the target poster received the notification. The qualifying post may be published back to the requestor and optionally other users.
