  • Patent number: 7077060
Abstract: A compacting container compresses cellulose-containing waste, paper and cardboard. The container has a filling opening which can be closed by a door and pulling hydraulic cylinders. The door pivots about a horizontal axis at the bottom of the container. A compressor mounted at the filling end, extends across an interior of the container and is suspended by one side edge on a shaft traversing the container at a beam. The waste is filled into the door and its side edges. When the door is full the compressor is activated as respective cylinders pivot the transverse compressor down against the paper waste. Shovelling occurs into the container while the door is simultaneously drawn against the container open end. Waste is compressed into container the interior. A greater container volume is used, and the pressing force is further reduced for simple location of the pulling cylinders along the container sides.

The doubler plates include bearings positioned proximate to linkages. The linkages interconnect the drive shaft and the platens. The doubler plates are preferably positioned proximate to the linkages, on the drive shaft and opposite frame bearings. The system can include yoked pivots to support both sides of bearings in the linkages between the drive shaft and the platen. Short-stroke cylinders (6) are provided between the heads of the threaded lifting spindles (4) and the lower press plate (3). Said short-stroke cylinders have the function of dissipating the moulding force which has arisen due to foaming by moving the press plate (3) a very small stroke downwards. It is also possible, instead of the short-stroke cylinders (6), to install an air cushion system, which has a stroke of approx. 1 mm, between the press plate and the heating plate. Abstract: The invention concerns a compactor for empty containers consisting of a fixed frame (1) and a mobile element (2) integral with the frame but capable of sliding inside or outside the fixed frame, and of receiving the container (12) between an upper part of the fixed element (7) forming an anvil and a part of the mobile element forming a compressing member. The mobile element can be subjected to a vertical downward force. Said force is applied on the lower part of mobile element (9) by the user's foot. Said lower part forming a pedal is located underneath the fixed frame top part to cause the mobile element (2) to slide and compress the container between the opposite surfaces of said upper parts.

Abstract: A biaxial press molding system includes a cam apparatus having cams facing each other, and a biaxial press apparatus, disposed between the cams and installed to be capable of sliding contacting the cams, for forming a biaxial pressure to a molding object by converting rotational motion of the cams to linear reciprocating motion. Thus, a repulsive force generated during pressing concentrates only on the rotation shaft, so that an optimal design of the frame and a light system are possible. The upper and lower pressure continuously applied to a pressed object can be changed and the maximum pressure can be freely maintained, increased and decreased by forming upper and lower portions at the frictional surfaces of the cams facing each other. Also, a fine control of pressure is possible, the pressure can be appropriately distributed according to part of the pressed object, and mass production of accurate molding products is possible by controlling the pressing point of time.

Abstract: A feedback control system for use in a press machine is adapted to monitor and adjust the clearance between the gib and slide. A pressurized chamber, such as a hydraulic piston-cylinder combination is disposed in actuating relationship to the gib. Selective pressurization of the piston-cylinder induces a controlled displacement of the gib towards or away from the slide, thereby regulating the spatial relationship therebetween. A sensor provides a measure of any possible clearance between the gib and slide. The clearance measurement is compared to allowable reference data. A controller controls the pressurization of the chamber in accordance with the comparison results, thereby controllably moving the gib. The gib may be selectively displaced to optionally effectuate a minimal clearance condition.

Abstract: A slider link press includes an oscillation link operating about a fulcrum shaft and an eccentric crank pin. A connecting link connects the oscillation link to a slide. The oscillating link and fulcrum shaft act to increase press torque, reduce downward press speed, and increases upward press speed thereby maintaining cycle time. The eccentric crank pin operates the oscillation link, aids in torque increase, and provides reciprocating movement to the slide. The slide includes pivotable slide gibs that engage reciprocal fixed gibs to maintain parallel surface contact and absorb and eliminate eccentric loads on the slide and the press. Stays and spacers align sides of the press and eliminate flexing under load while absorbing and distributing deformation pressure.
