Abstract: A display bin includes a tubular body and a multi-part bottom assembly. The tubular body includes an open base end and an open top end. The multi-part bottom assembly includes an annular structure having an inner edge, an outer edge and a plurality of evenly spaced wings projecting outwardly from the outer edge and terminating at distal ends. The annular structure is capable of being inserted through the open base end of the tubular body. A plurality of fasteners couple each of the plurality of wings of the annular structure to the base end of the tubular body.

Abstract: The present invention provides a foldable shipping carton that easily converts to a retail display. The carton of the present invention incorporates an integral detachable panel that protects the product and the product's primary graphics area. Once at a retail location, the detachable panel is removed exposing the graphics. The carton then doubles as a display to draw attention to the product. The carton of the present invention replaces the unattractive brown cardboard shipping box and is intended to build brand awareness and drive sales.

Abstract: A carrier for food products such as muffins and cupcakes includes a pan and a cover. The pan including multiple pan wells that project from an upper surface thereof. At least some of the pan wells each includes an opening in respective bottom surfaces thereof. The cover includes multiple cover wells or supports projecting from a surface thereof, each corresponding to one of the pan wells. At least some of the cover wells each includes a support extending from a bottom surface thereof. The cover secures to and substantially covers the pan in a first configuration. The pan nests on the cover in a second configuration such that the supports project through a respective one of the openings.

Abstract: An accessory unit includes a front flap and a rear cover. The rear cover includes a recessed portion that defines a chamber and a frame that extends about an opening of the chamber. The chamber is configured to receive a consumer electronic device, and the frame is configured to hold the consumer electronic device therein. For example, the frame may define a multi-sided cross-section with an inner edge thereof configured to engage a chamfered edge of the consumer electronic device. The front flap may include segments formed from panels with folding regions therebetween, which allow the front flap to fold. Abstract: A display carton with controlled deflection zones that are designed to control the weak points of the carton and to direct deformation of the carton when compressed. As more and more weight is added to the top surface of a carton that embodies a deflection zone, the deflection zone may initially resist crushing. As even more weight is added, the deflection zone may start to give way. The deflection zone helps to controlling the image of the container, even if the container becomes crushed. The display carton may incorporate different styles of deflection zones, and the display carton may incorporate the deflection zones at a variety of locations of the carton. Additionally, the controlled deflection zones can be incorporated into many different styles of display cartons, shipping containers, boxes and the like, including shipping containers that can be converted easily from a shipping configuration to a display configuration.

Abstract: A container preassembly which has an inner sleeve in a flat unopened position disposed within an outer sleeve in a flat unopened position, where in the inner sleeve is substantially shorter than the outer sleeve. The two sleeves are adapted for form the top and bottom ends of the final opened container. The inner sleeve is cut so that gaps at the top of the inner sleeve form notches at the corners of the final opened container. The shorter outer sleeve rests on these notches preventing the pieces from shifting during the manufacturing process and to allow the preassembly to be folded into the final container using current machine technology.

Abstract: A shipping container convertible to a display configuration has a removable cover base removable along perforated lines of weakness to form a display opening. Packages of product in the carton are supported in a horizontal orientation during shipping and in an upright orientation when the removable cover base is removed for display of the products at a point of sale. Roll-over flaps on one wall at the bottom of the display opening capture tuck flaps on opposite side walls, and full overlapping top flaps folded inwardly from opposite side walls close the display opening during shipment. An outer top flap has an end extending over the roll-over flaps, and the end is free of attachment to the roll-over flaps. The top flaps are removed with the removable cover base. In one embodiment a flange extends inwardly over an edge of the display opening to keep packages from falling out.

Abstract: A food tray is automatically convertible from a flat position to an erect, elevated position. The food tray is fabricated as a blank, preferably of rigid cardboard, which is appropriately folded and, with interlocking tabs, assembled to lay flat under the food, particularly a pizza pie, when the pizza remains in its flat delivery box. When the pizza is to be removed from its box, the central tray section of the convertible food tray is lifted, with the pizza thereon. This permits folded wing sections of the tray located beneath the central section to swing down to become tray leg support members. When the support members of the tray are placed on a table or similar surface, the weight of the pizza on the central section compels the support members inward, to a position perpendicular to the central section, to securely provide elevated support to the pizza on the food tray.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus to enforce a power off state of an audience measurement device during shipping of the device are disclosed herein. An example portable audience measurement device includes a housing, a media detector in the housing to collect media exposure data and a packaging sensor to detect a stimulus generated within the package. A packaging detector compares the detected stimulus to a criterion to determine whether the device is located within the package.

Abstract: The present invention is directed generally to container for reconfigurable products and, in particular, to a display package operable to display a product in multiple configurations. The display package may include product housing portions adapted to slide from a first, adjacent position, where one product portion is positioned adjacent to another product portion, to a second, separated position, where one product portion is spaced from the other product portion. The display package may include a plurality of product housings adapted to rotate with respect to each other along a common axis such that product portions within the product housings may be selectively aligned to form desired configurations of a completed, displayed product.

A detachable display panel is formed in the lid panel. A detachable protective panel is foldably attached to one side edge of the lid panel by weakened tear lines. The protective panel is attached to the display panel, whereby removal of the protective panel carries with it and removes the display panel to form a display opening in the lid panel for display of and access to product contained in the container.

The grooves are formed by cuts made through the top liner and a portion of the medium and crushed areas extending along one side of each cut, forming a rearwardly facing abutment at each cut for engaging bottom edges of articles to prevent the bottom edges from sliding forward in the tray.

The side plate portions extend outward from two sides of the elongated portion, and have fold lines at the junctures thereof. The two wing portions can be torn or cut out optionally. Each wing portion has a main wing extending from two sides of an area between sixth and seventh fold lines of the elongated plate portion. The packaging plate is foldable along the fold lines to form a unit body-packaging box or a system-packaging box.
