Abstract: An aerosol generating device and a controlling method thereof are provided. An aerosol generating device includes: a battery configured to supply power for generating an aerosol from an aerosol generating material; a converter configured to convert a supply voltage from the battery into a constant voltage of a predetermined level; a heater configured to heat the aerosol generating material using the supply voltage; a detection circuit configured to detect a change in resistance of the heater by applying the constant voltage output from the converter and performing a current sensing on the heater with a resistance value; and a controller configured to control the heater for generating the aerosol by switching between a monitoring mode for performing the detection of the change in the resistance of the heater using the constant voltage and a heating mode for heating the heater using the supply voltage.

Abstract: A liquid-cooled cabinet manifold and a liquid-cooled cabinet are disclosed. The liquid-cooled cabinet manifold includes a main inlet pipe and a main outlet pipe, which are arranged in parallel to and spaced apart from each other. The main inlet pipe has a main inlet port and a branch inlet port, and the main outlet pipe has a main outlet port and a branch outlet port. The branch inlet port is staggered from the branch outlet port along the direction of extension of the main inlet pipe, and an angle is formed between the branch inlet port and the branch outlet port. The branch inlet port and the branch outlet port form a pair connected to an object to be cooled in the liquid-cooled cabinet. When a server with a large depth is accommodated in the cabinet, the angle can be adjusted to ensure a minimized radius of flexure of supply and return pipes.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for a battery exchange station for an electric vehicle. In one example, a battery exchange station may include a vehicle platform including one or more lifters, a first storage rack positioned on a first side of the vehicle platform, and a second storage rack positioned on an opposing, second side of the vehicle platform. The first storage rack and the second storage rack may store a plurality of batteries. The battery exchange station may include a battery exchange mechanism comprising a dual component battery chamber, a first mobile table, and a second mobile table, the dual component battery chamber comprising stationary component fixed to the electric vehicle and a mobile component slideably coupled to the stationary component, wherein the mobile component is released from the stationary component when the electric vehicle is directly on the vehicle platform and lifted via the one or more lifters.

Abstract: Disclosed is a battery swapping system, comprising a battery swapping device, a signal transmission unit, a position sensor, and a detection section. The battery swapping device comprises a master control unit and a battery pack disassembly and assembly unit. The battery pack disassembly and assembly unit is used for clamping the battery pack, the master control unit is used for controlling the battery pack disassembly and assembly unit to move along a preset path. The position sensor is used for generating a stopping instruction upon sensing of the detection section, sending the stopping instruction to the master control unit which is used for stopping moving the battery pack disassembly and assembly unit according to the stopping instruction. According to the present invention, whether a battery pack is mounted in place can be accurately detected, the accuracy and safety of battery pack swapping is ensured and the costs are low.

Abstract: A magnetic roller device and a method for calculating rotation information thereof are disclosed. The optical components of the sensor modules are selected to enable indication of the linear position of a measurement surface relative to a reference position and then broadcast the measurement results. The broadcast results are received by the central receiver and processed by the data acquisition computer, which hosts human interface software that displays measurement data.

In preparation for or as part of the operations, the actuators or modular machines may directly physically apply one or more forces to a cable held by the cartridge, causing the cable to spool toward or away from the modular machines.

Abstract: An automated wire feeder assembly to first repetitively receive a wire from a gripper of an automated processing tool and then load the wire into a hollow conduit coupled to the gripper of the automated tool. The wire feeder assembly includes belts that pivot between open and closed positions and each belt rotate to advance a wire into the conduit attached to the gripper of the automated tool. When the belts are in the open position the gripper of the automated tool places a free end of the wire into a wire guide. Pivoting the belts to the closed position engages the belts with the free end of the wire. Once the belt is engaged with the free end of the wire, rotating the belts advances the wire out of the wire feeder and into the gripper conduit.

Abstract: A connector system for a battery module has a number of cell connectors of different successive cell connector types in order to form one or more electric contacts with one or more connections of one or more individual cells of the battery module, in particular for a power-transmitting tap in which each cell connector of a subsequent cell connector type is designed to electrically connect a larger number of connections of individual cells than the number of connections which can be connected by each cell connector of a preceding cell connector type. Each cell connector of a preceding cell connector type can be stacked and/or nested on a cell connector of a subsequent cell connector type in an assembly direction perpendicular to the main direction of extension.

Abstract: An input terminal that includes a casing defining an opening; a holding member; a piezoelectric sensor; and an adhesive material adhering an outer peripheral edge portion of the holding member to an end edge portion of an opening of the casing. The adhesive material includes a first portion and a second portion. The first portion and the second portion differ from each other in at least one of modulus of elasticity, thickness or width.
Abstract: A method of making printed circuit board vias using a double drilling and plating method is disclosed. A first hole is drilled in a core, the first hole having a first diameter. The first hole is filled and/or plated with an electrically conductive material. A circuit pattern may be formed on one or two conductive layers of the core. A multilayer structure may then be formed including a plurality of cores that also include pre-drilled and plated via holes, wherein at least some of the pre-drilled and plated via holes are aligned with the first hole. A second hole is then drilled within the first hole and the aligned pre-drilled and plated holes, the second hole having a second diameter where the second diameter is smaller than the first diameter. A conductive material is then plated to an inner surface of the second hole.
Abstract: A robust touch display apparatus utilizing adhesive as a shock absorber includes a cover lens, a touch module disposed under the cover lens, a display module disposed on a surface of the touch module away from the cover lens, a casing, and a protection frame. The casing receives the cover lens and supports the touch module and the display module. The protection frame is fixed on an outside surface of the casing. The protection frame faces a sidewall of the cover lens and the touch module.

Abstract: There is provided a non-stop battery changing system that includes: a body connected to a moving body that is moved by power, having a seat on a side, and having locking grooves and a power terminal in the seat; a battery pack inserted in the seat of the body to supply power to the moving body, having locking protrusions sliding inward/outward, and having a battery terminal that comes in contact with the power terminal; and a pushing protrusion extending outward from a side of the battery pack in a mounting direction of the battery pack inserted in the seat by movement of the moving body, and unlocking the locking protrusions out of the locking grooves, when the battery pack used in the seat is replaced with another charged battery pack.

Abstract: The invention provides interfaces between analytical instruments, e.g., between chromatography systems and mass spectrometers. In an exemplary embodiment, an ion source is provided for connecting a carbon dioxide-based chromatograph device to a mass spectrometer. The ion source includes a first conduit for receiving eluent from the chromatography device, a heater for heating at least a portion of said first conduit, a second conduit in fluid communication with the first conduit, an inlet for receiving eluent from said second conduit and introducing the eluent into an ion source region to form a plume of gas and/or liquid in the ion source region, and an ionization promoting inlet for injecting an ionization promoting fluid into the ion source region to interact with the plume to promote ionization of at least some of the plume.

Abstract: A catheter is provided for medical ultrasound imaging that can be effectively used in combination with other imaging modalities to detect medical structures of interest as well as the catheter. Markers are added to the catheter with precision, which provides a means to merge the images from different modalities. Using a template, apertures for marker placement are formed in the catheter after creating the catheter housing. The ultrasound array may be used for accurate positioning of the template. Alternatively or additionally, a rigid insert with markers connects with the array. The insert holds the markers in place and may reduce artifacts in ultrasound scanning due to flexing of the array.

Abstract: A mounting head 16 includes shaft members 23 respectively provided with suction nozzles 22, rotation driving motors 24 for individually conducting rotary movements of the shaft members 23, and vertical movement driving motors 25 which are arranged in a staggered arrangement in an opposite direction to a staggered arrangement of the shaft members 23, and adapted to individually conduct vertical movements of the shaft members 23. The rotation driving motors 24 directly drive the shaft members 23, and the vertical movement driving motors 25 move the shaft members 23 up and down, together with the rotation driving motors 24.
Abstract: A cylindrical magnet assembly has at least one coil mounted on a former, assembled to a bore tube by a number of inserts within holes formed in a material of the former. Each insert can bear on a dished radially outer extremity of a radially-outwardly directed protrusion or each insert can bear on a radially outer concave surface of a radially-inwardly directed protrusion.
Abstract: A groove portion is arranged, along a circumferential direction of a circular arc, in a cover portion of a circular rim portion. A heater wire is housed in the groove portion. An outer layer portion is arranged which covers the heater wire and the cover portion of the rim portion. With a simple configuration, a line of the heater wire is less likely to stand out on the outer layer portion to cover the cover portion of the rim portion and the heater wire. It is possible to ensure a good appearance and improve productivity.
Abstract: A process of producing a component includes providing a substrate having an electrically conductive surface in the form of an electrically conductive layer; subdividing the layer with the aid of a laser process into a first electrically autonomous region and a second electrically autonomous region, wherein an electrically insulating region is formed in the electrically conductive layer to electrically separate the electrically autonomous regions; forming an electrical potential difference between the first electrically autonomous region and the second electrically autonomous region; and applying an electrically charged substance or an electrically charged substance mixture onto the first electrically autonomous region and/or the second electrically autonomous region, wherein the electrically autonomous region and/or an amount of the applied electrically charged substance or of the electrically charged substance mixture are adjusted by the electrical potential difference.
