  • Patent number: 11379488
Abstract: In an example, information about interactions by users, via the graphical user interface, with a plurality of items rendered in the graphical user interface, is obtained, the information including a timestamp of a time and date at which the corresponding interaction occurred. A series of operations is performed upon detecting a condition that triggers a ranking of items rendered in the graphical user interface, for each item for which the condition applies. A ranking score is calculated for the item and a decay is applied to the ranking score by applying a Gaussian distribution, using the timestamp of the item as an origin to the Gaussian distribution, producing a decayed ranking score. The items for which the condition applies are then ranked based on their respective decayed ranking scores and a subset is rendered in the graphical user interface in an order matching the ranking.

  • Patent number: 11381486
Abstract: Embodiments relate to systems and methods for electronically conditioning transmission of communications based on results of a connection assessment. An electronic file is executed at an electronic device, which causes a first query and a second query to be presented. A first query response and a second query response are identified. The first query response is stored in a locked configuration that inhibits the ability to modify the first query response to the first query. The second query response is stored but is not stored in the locked configuration. Query response data is generated that includes an identifier of the second query, an identifier of the second query response and an identifier of the electronic device. A connection variable is determined by assessing one or more network connections available to the electronic device. When a transmission condition is satisfied, the query response data is transmitted to another device.

  • Patent number: 11372111
Abstract: Determination of one or more timing (phase) and/or frequency corrections to be made to a local time base of a receiver device to synchronize the local time base with the time of GPS or other highly accurate time base. Timing packets from one or more grandmaster devices whose time bases are substantially the same as that of GPS or the like and/or positioning system signals (e.g., GPS signals) directly from a positioning system are received and manipulated to determine the timing and/or frequency corrections. The corrected time base may be used to assist in acquiring such positioning signals to allow for higher accuracy correction and/or for downstream communication operation. The present utilities are advantageous such as when a sufficient number of channels (e.g., four) from the receiver device to positioning system satellites are unavailable to synchronize the local time base to the GPS or other accurate time base.

A super structure grating is used as a reflector structure, and a suspended structure is formed around a region in which the super structure grating is located, to implement, using the suspended structure, thermal isolation around the region in which the super structure grating is located, and increase thermal resistance, such that less heat is lost, and heat is concentrated in the region in which the super structure grating is located, thereby improving thermal tuning efficiency of the reflector structure. Moreover, lateral support structures are disposed on two sides of the suspended structure, to provide a mechanical support for the suspended structure. In addition, regions in the super structure grating that correspond to any two lateral support structures on a same side of the suspended structure fall at different locations in a spatial period of the super structure grating.

Abstract: A method for transmitting a data stream containing a second ordered sequence of numerical values, which sequence is determined from a first ordered sequence, a second succession of consecutive numerical values of the second sequence being obtained from a corresponding succession of consecutive numerical values of the first sequence. The method estimates a load value representative of a current load on the network, to determine, depending on the estimated value, a second succession to be transmitted in a predefined time interval following the current time, the second succession being a corresponding first succession of the first sequence or a succession modified by applying a selection law to the bits of the first succession and to transmit the second succession and, in case of transmission of a modified succession, a processing indicator signaling a succession modification.

Abstract: Continuance in quality level of an input timing signal may be provided. Clock source reference timing information may be receive by a first node from a second node as an input. The first node may be downstream from the second node. Then the first node may receive an event message associated with a future event associated with the second node. The first node may then refrain, for a period of time in response to receiving the event message, from switching the input for clock source reference timing information to a source other than the second node.
