The processor is configured to: intercept information sent from an application, to be displayed on the display; identify an information entity in the intercepted information, comprised in a predefined set of information entity types; reformat appearance of the identified information entity to be displayed on the display; forward the intercepted information including the reformatted appearance of the identified information entity to be displayed on the display. The display is configured to: present the identified information entity with the reformatted appearance to the user of the mobile device. Also a corresponding method is disclosed.

Abstract: Certain exemplary embodiments relate to entertainment systems and, more particularly, to systems that incorporate digital downloading jukebox features and improved user interfaces. For instance, a smart search may be provided, e.g., where search results vary based on the popularity of songs within the venue, in dependence on songs being promoted, etc. As another example, a tile-based approach to organizing groupings of songs is provided. Groupings may involve self-populating collections of songs that combine centrally-promoted songs, songs in a given genre that are popular across an audiovisual distribution network, and songs that are locally popular and match up with the given genre (e.g., because of shared attributes such as same or similar genre, artist, etc.). Different tile visual presentations also are contemplated, as are different physical jukebox designs. In certain example embodiments, a sealed core unit with the “brains” of the jukebox is insertable into a docking station.

Abstract: A method of operating a device, which includes providing a user interface with a display artifact; in response to an indication a user selected to copy the display artifact, storing multiple levels of detail of the display artifact; allowing the user to paste a selected level of detail by steps of: in response to an indication a user selected an input field and a paste command, displaying a plurality of paste options for pasting the display artifact into the input field, wherein the plurality of paste options each have a unique level of detail for representing the display artifact; allowing the user to select from the plurality of paste options; and in response to an indication a user selected a paste option from the plurality of paste options, pasting the display artifact with a level of detail associated with the selected paste option into the input filed.

Abstract: Systems and methods for radial gesture navigation are provided. In example embodiments, user input data is received from a user device. The user input data indicates a continuous physical user interaction associated with a display screen of the user device. An initial point and a current point are detected from the user input data. A radius distance for a circle that includes the current point and is centered about the initial point is determined. An action is selected from among multiple actions based on the radius distance being within a particular range among successive ranges along a straight line that starts at the initial point and extends through the circle. Each range among the successive ranges corresponds to a particular action among the multiple actions. The selected action is performed in response to detecting a completion of the continuous physical user interaction.

Abstract: A computer system stores information for a plurality of layouts of one or more user interface elements locally. Each layout corresponds to at least one type of display device, and includes one or more objects associated with the one or more user interface elements. Upon receiving a request for rendering a first user interface element on a display device, the computer system identifies a type of the display device and determines a first one of the at least one type of display device accordingly. The computer system then extracts information for a first layout corresponding to the first one of the at least one type of display device (e.g., information for a subset of objects that is stored with the first layout and corresponds to the first user interface element), and renders the subset of objects corresponding to the first user interface element on the display device accordingly.

Abstract: An electronic device displays a text object that includes first text. While continuously displaying the text object, the device, in response to detecting a user input, varies one or more properties, other than position, of the continuously displayed text object from a first set of display property values to a second set of display property values through a plurality of intermediate states, the plurality of intermediate states including: a first intermediate state in which the first text has a first intermediate set of display property values that are between the first set of display property values and the second set of display property values; and a second intermediate state in which the first text has a second intermediate set of display property values that are between the first set of intermediate display values and the second set of display property values.

Abstract: A vehicle infotainment system is provided. The vehicle infotainment system includes a display screen, a touchpad remote from the display screen, and a controller communicatively coupled to the display screen and to the touchpad. The controller is configured to virtually divide the touchpad into a main menu configuration. The controller is also configured to display a main menu of indicators corresponding to inactive applications, wherein the main menu occupies the entire display screen. The controller is also configured to receive a user input indicating selection of a first indicator. The controller is further configured to display selectable items associated with the first application in an interactive region of the display screen, and at least a second indicator in a non-interactive region of the display screen, and associate the touchpad with only the interactive region of the display screen.

Abstract: An example system is configured to (i) cause a client station to operate in a first mode in which the client station is configured for playback of a remote playback queue provided by a cloud-based computing system associated with a cloud-based media service, (ii) cause a zone player to take over playback responsibility for the remote playback queue, (iii) cause the zone player to (a) communicate with the cloud-based computing system to obtain data identifying a next one or more media items in the remote playback queue, (b) use the obtained data to retrieve at least one media item in the remote playback queue from the cloud-based media service, and (c) play back the retrieved at least one media item, and (iv) cause the client station to transition from the first mode to a second mode in which the client station is configured to control the zone player's playback of the remote playback queue.

Abstract: Systems and methods for adaptive, multi-resolution magnetic resonance imaging (“MRI”), in which an MRI scan prescription is adaptively changed to acquire high-quality data from select regions-of-interest (“ROI”) in a larger field-of-view (“FOV”), are provided. The higher quality data can include data representing higher spatial resolution, higher signal-to-noise ratio (“SNR”), increased diffusion encoding via repeated acquisition with a larger number of diffusion-encoding directions, and so on. A composite image can be generated that displays the higher quality images of the ROIs overlaid on the larger FOV.

Abstract: There is provided a system and method of validating geospatial object data with mediated reality. The method including: receiving an object definition associated with a geospatial object, the object definition comprising a type of object and a position; displaying a visual representation of the geospatial object to a user relative to a corresponding geospatial object located in a physical scene; and receiving input validating a placement of the visual representation relative to the corresponding geospatial object located in the physical scene.

Abstract: A method and system of controlling lighting that includes displaying on a graphic user interface of a mobile device a grid of light functions. The grid of light functions including a plurality of selectable light function settings. The method may further include selecting a light function setting from the selectable light function settings by traversing a cursor over the light function setting that is selected, wherein motion of the cursor is controlled by motion of the mobile device that includes a motion sensor for correlating said motion of the mobile device to said traversing of the cursor. The method may also include transmitting a control signal for the light function setting that is selected from said mobile device to a luminaire, wherein the luminaire projects light with properties consistent with said light function setting simultaneously with the cursor being present on said light function that is selected.

Abstract: Methods, computer program products, and systems are presented. The methods include, for instance: metadata on respective datasets from a plurality of data sources. An enhanced metadata is prepared with semantic information, available data statistics, and search index associated with items of the metadata. The metadata is also classified based on ontology rules. An intent phrase to search the datasets from the plurality of data sources is obtained from a user. The enhanced metadata is searched with a semantic search query formed from the intent phrase, and search result is classified into semantic element classes generated from the intent phrase. A metadata model that satisfies the intent phrase is produced by identifying join columns and respective join relationships from the search result.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to using user biometric characteristics measured while the user is viewing virtual reality content to provide suggestions for downloadable virtual reality content in a virtual reality content store. An exemplary user device determines a criterion based on the user characteristics to filter the virtual reality content so that only virtual reality content that meets the criterion are displayed to the user. The virtual reality content displayed in the virtual reality content store has a corresponding activity level score.

Abstract: A method for providing a user interface in a vehicle, wherein information that is structured in lists can be displayed, and wherein a list includes list entries and the list entries include elements. One way of doing this is identifying for the company, the plurality of entities in the supply chain, and determining the relative importance of each of the plurality of entities within the supply chain. The relative importance is determined via at least one processor circuit programmed to determine, for each respective entity in the supply chain, a relative buying power, a supplier revenue fraction, and an industry revenue exposure. The processor circuit is programmed to compute a relative importance score for each respective entity in the supply chain, as a function of the determined buying power, supplier fraction, and industry revenue exposure for the respective entity.

An application predictive model is obtained by training a simple recurrent unit (SRU) neural network model according to multiple groups of usage timing association records. Usage status information of applications of a terminal of at least two past time points of a next time point is acquired. Probability values of launching the applications are acquired from the application predictive model by processing the usage status information of the applications with the application predictive model.
