Abstract: Certain exemplary embodiments relate to entertainment systems and, more particularly, to systems that incorporate digital downloading jukebox features and improved user interfaces. For instance, a smart search may be provided, e.g., where search results vary based on the popularity of songs within the venue, in dependence on songs being promoted, etc. As another example, a tile-based approach to organizing groupings of songs is provided. Groupings may involve self-populating collections of songs that combine centrally-promoted songs, songs in a given genre that are popular across an audiovisual distribution network, and songs that are locally popular and match up with the given genre (e.g., because of shared attributes such as same or similar genre, artist, etc.). Different tile visual presentations also are contemplated, as are different physical jukebox designs. In certain example embodiments, a sealed core unit with the “brains” of the jukebox is insertable into a docking station.

  • Patent number: 11132066
Abstract: Systems and methods for radial gesture navigation are provided. In example embodiments, user input data is received from a user device. The user input data indicates a continuous physical user interaction associated with a display screen of the user device. An initial point and a current point are detected from the user input data. A radius distance for a circle that includes the current point and is centered about the initial point is determined. An action is selected from among multiple actions based on the radius distance being within a particular range among successive ranges along a straight line that starts at the initial point and extends through the circle. Each range among the successive ranges corresponds to a particular action among the multiple actions. The selected action is performed in response to detecting a completion of the continuous physical user interaction.

Abstract: A computer system stores information for a plurality of layouts of one or more user interface elements locally. Each layout corresponds to at least one type of display device, and includes one or more objects associated with the one or more user interface elements. Upon receiving a request for rendering a first user interface element on a display device, the computer system identifies a type of the display device and determines a first one of the at least one type of display device accordingly. The computer system then extracts information for a first layout corresponding to the first one of the at least one type of display device (e.g., information for a subset of objects that is stored with the first layout and corresponds to the first user interface element), and renders the subset of objects corresponding to the first user interface element on the display device accordingly.

Abstract: A method for processing an operation interface and a device for displaying an operation interface are provided. By displaying the operation interface with sector menus in hierarchies, a mapping relationship can be established between a previous level menu and a next level menu, such that a user may choose a corresponding option according to a desired operation in use, and the display layout may be in a way of sectors expanding outwardly. Thus, a more concise display may be achieved, a larger range of parameters may be configured, and more application scenarios can be satisfied.

Abstract: A historian system enables the creation, storage, and retrieval of extended metadata properties. A tag metadata database module of the historian system stores tag metadata received over a network connection in a tag metadata database and retrieves tag metadata in response to requests received over the network and from within the historian system. An extended property database module creates extended properties associated with a tag metadata instance in response to requests, stores the created extended properties, and retrieves the stored extended properties in response to requests. The extended property search index module indexes extended properties as they are created, searches the indexed extended properties in response to requests, and provides the indexes of extended properties to enable location of the extended properties in the extended property database.

  • Patent number: 10970356
Abstract: A living website is provided that autonomously and dynamically changes presentation based on engagement from users, business members, distributed devices, and, optionally, individual user preferences. The living website presentation changes with the promotion and demotion of website elements through repositioning, visual differentiation, and other means. These changes are produced by a machine rewriting of the living website code that is conditioned on the continually tracked engagement. In particular, the tracked engagement identifies the website elements that are most engaging at that time. The living website then adapts in order to presents users with this most engaging content in a manner that is immediately apparent and before them. Consequently, users spend less time searching, scrolling, or otherwise browsing a website in order to find content that is engaging and of interest to them, and more time interacting with the engaging content that is already before them.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to identifying duplicate coding and/or design used in different parts of a user interface (e.g., a web application). In some embodiments, a plurality of visible elements of an interface are detected based on hierarchical user interface code. In some embodiments, a device groups sets of the plurality of visible elements based on determined coordinates and depth levels for the detected elements. In some embodiments, groups that meet a threshold similarity criterion are identified. In some embodiments the threshold similarity criterion is based on classification of detected elements and/or geospatial analysis.

Abstract: Techniques are provided to reduce the possibility of missing a message when searching for the message in a messaging group. In some implementations, a user input that indicates a selected contact in a messaging group, is received. The messaging group includes a plurality of messages posted by one or more contacts. From among the plurality of messages, a first set of messages that includes messages posted by the selected contact is identified. On a display interface, the messages of the first set is displayed while hiding messages from the plurality of messages that are not included in the first set. Optionally, a second set of messages that includes messages that were not posted by the selected contact, is identified from among the plurality of messages. A hidden message quantity is determined based on a number of messages in the second set of messages and displayed on the display interface.
