  • Patent number: 6317046
Abstract: The invention relates to a device (10) for making an antitheft link between two objects, the device comprising an envelope (20) of heat-shrink plastics material whose walls are locally brought together along a common generator line (23) to form both a main compartment (24) which is open at both ends and which is designed to envelop one of the two objects to be connected together, and an auxiliary compartment in which an elongate pin is disposed. The device has a wall (31) provided on the other object (30) with a narrow longitudinal slot (32) formed therein that is open at one of its ends, said slot being dimensioned to enable the envelope to be inserted level with its common generator line (23) so that the elongate pin co-operates with the wall (31) to provide the link between said other object and the envelope which has been heat-shrunk on the first object, and to enable the inserted envelope (20) to be locked into place by means (36) closing the open end of the slot (32).

  • Patent number: 5826311
Abstract: A plastic injection molded adjustable arm assembly includes a base (102) having a detent wheel (104) that includes a plurality of detents (e.g., 106). An adjustable arm (202) includes a snap-in (204) for rotatably attaching the arm to the base. The arm also includes a locking mechanism (214) that includes a lever (218) that is attached to the arm at a fulcrum (216). A pawl (220) is located at one end of the lever (218a) to engage one of the detents in the detent wheel, thereby locking the arm in one of several angular positions. To release the lock and move the arm to a different position, the user pushes on the end of the lever opposite the pawl (218b), thereby causing the pawl to disengage from the detent. The base and the arm are each injection moldable using a single action mold. In one embodiment, the arm can be moved in one direction by the application of direct pressure to the arm, but it cannot be moved in the opposite direction until the locking lever is manually released.

  • Patent number: 5115110
Abstract: Hydraulically actuated quick release base mounted clamp particularly capable of use for clamping interchangeable production heat treating induction coils to produce intimate pressurized electrical conductive contact between elongated base mounted and induction coil bus bars. A central short stroke hydraulic cylinder produces only slight pivotal clamping engagement of dual laterally spaced clamp arms, the pivots of which can be linearly laterally retracted to clearance position upon release of hydraulic pressure. A cross shaft having a flatted engagement by the rigidly mounted cylinder piston head and a pivot cross shaft having flatted ends adapted to slide in slotted keyways upon release of actuating pressure provide for lateral movement of the clamp arm assembly to a clearance position while the actuating cylinder remains in its fixed position.
