Abstract: Apparatus and methods of packing leaf tobacco preserve the integrity of tobacco, help retain freshness and moisture content of tobacco, and also help eliminate insect infestation. A packing container for leaf tobacco includes a carton, and a flexible, non-porous bag located within the carton. The bag includes a closeable opening through which the bag receives a quantity of tightly packed leaf tobacco. The bag is configured to have air extracted therefrom and to maintain a sub-atmospheric pressure therein.
Abstract: A three-piece pocket-size hybrid container for holding a consumer product such as smokeless tobacco product in an interior volume of an inner ring mechanically secured to an interior of an outer base housing including a cover to fit over and snugly around the inner ring. When closed, a cover sidewall may engage a sidewall of the outer base housing to form a flush exterior sidewall of the closed container or the cover sidewall may be spaced apart from the outer base housing to form a gap in the exterior sidewall of the closed container. The outer base housing and cover can be metal and the inner ring can be plastic to provide a strong and robust package that maintains product freshness and is easily opened and closed.

Abstract: A packing system for cigars including a cigar box and at least one support. The flat support is sized slightly larger than the distance between a pair of walls of the cigar box so that the support is compressed into an arch shape that is maintained by the walls when inserted into the cigar box. The support includes a plurality of elongate holes that define a plurality of collars. The cigars are seated by the collars and restrict the movement of the cigars. The support also provides a pleasing display for the cigars. In a more particular arrangement, one or more such supports include tabs that engage the cigars of a straight body type and restrict movement of the cigars.
Abstract: The cigarette case smoking cessation device only allows lid opening and therefore cigarette access at times set by the adjustable timer. The device thereby allows a smoker to predetermine cigarette access in designing a period for weaning off of cigarettes, of just reducing smoking itself. The device provides automatic unlocking at the set intervals, thereby allowing lid opening. The device provides both audio and vibratory alert of cigarette access. The device provides a gasket between case and lid so that cigarettes stay fresh. The charge port is an important feature in assuring battery charge and therefore long-life operation between charges. The thin walled device is compact and only slightly larger than a cigarette pack itself.

To this end, the surfaces of said embossing teeth and/or portions of the tooth space bottom are provided with microstructures. These microstructures allow producing largely forgery-proof marks which may furthermore provide a very decorative effect.
Abstract: A pack for tobacco products consists in at least one rigid packet (2) appearing as a container (3) presenting a bottom end face (4), surmounted by a hinged lid (5) presenting a top end face (6) and rotatable between a position in which the packet is open, and a position of interaction with an inner frame (9) anchored to the container (3), in which the packet is closed. The packet (2) presents at least two main faces of which a first face (14) appears flat and a second face (15) is composed of a substantially central flat portion (16) and two curved portions (17) by which the flat portion (16) is connected to the longitudinal edges (18) of the flat first face (14), so that when viewed in cross section the packet (2) presents a substantially semicircular shape, or that of a rounded isosceles trapezoid.
