Abstract: The invention describes a remote-actuable door opener for installation in a door having a preferably positionally fixed door frame and having a door leaf movably mounted thereon. The door leaf has a movable door opener catch (1) and a remote-actuable blocking device (2) which interacts directly or indirectly with the door opener catch (1) in such a way that the door opener catch (1) can be switched into a blocking position and into a release position. It is essential that an actuating device (200) is provided which automatically sets the door opener catch (1) into a position in which the door opener catch (1) abuts against the lock catch (90) in the closed position of the door. Here, the door opener catch (1) is in particular formed from a bearing body (110) and from a catch body (10) which is displaceably guided on the bearing body and which is driven by the actuating device (200) in the direction of the actuating movement.

Abstract: A latch with dual rotary magnets is disclosed. The latch is particularly suited for releasably securing dual doors of a compartment in the closed position. Each rotary magnet helps secure in a closed position a respective door that is provided with a magnetic insert. Hook-like rotary pawls that rotate with the magnets provide for mechanical securing of the doors in the closed position. The latch is provided with a safety feature that makes the latch resistant to opening in the event that the vehicle in which the latch is installed is involved in a collision.

Abstract: A detachable side fairing for a vehicle in one form comprises a panel body that can include steps. An access opening is defined by the panel body and is opened and closed by a door, such as the riser of a step, to allow access to the rear of the panel. A latch actuator can be accessed through the access opening for use in operating a latch to allow movement of the panel body away from the vehicle. The latch actuator can comprise first and second actuators comprising respective first and second elongated handles that each actuates an associated latch to release the panel body. The handles can be configured to prevent closing of the door when the actuators have not been moved to a position that completes the latching of the panel body to the vehicle.

Abstract: A bolt lock, especially for control-cabinet doors or similar doors or flaps. The lock comprises a flat-bar bolt that is mounted to move parallel to the edge of the door, preferably within the arc of swing of the door. Disposed on the flat-bar bolt is at least one locking section. A bolt holder is mounted on the frame of the door to receive and hold the locking section. An actuator is provided for longitudinal displacement of the flat-bar bolt between an unlocked and a locked position. To provide a more secure lock that cannot become stuck, there is provided that to form the locking section, at least a portion of a length of the flat-bar bolt is twisted about a longitudinal axis of the bolt such that the twisted portion is disposed at an angle to an orientation of the bolt and provides a locking surface. The bolt holder is provided with a catch that is disposed at the same angle relative to the bolt as is the locking surface, with the catch being adapted to engage over the locking surface.

Abstract: A door release device (10) includes a pivot bar (40) on which a push plate (44) and an actuator (48) are mounted. The actuator (48) is aligned with a door latch handle (20) and the fixed end of pivot bar (40) is pivotable about a pivot pin (42) carried in its associated mounting bracket (28b). The active end of the pivot bar (40) is freed to move within its associated mounting bracket (28a) by removal of the pivot pin (42) associated with bracket (28a). Abstract: The present invention relates to a gate latch comprising an integrated latch/handle assembly, a mounting bracket, a return spring and a flat head shoulder bolt. The integrated latch/handle assembly is a flat bar section comprised of various radiused and right angled bends allowing the assembly to wrap around the leading edge of the fence gate with one of the bends forming the actual latch bolt. The ends of the assembly are bent to form handles which operate the mechanism, the handles having radiused ends. The mounting bracket is a flat steel bar section with two holes provided for attaching the bracket to the gate. The return spring is held in place by the shoulder bolt which attaches the handle assembly, mounting bracket and spring firmly together.

Abstract: A high security deadbolt assembly for a door which bolt has a housing extending from the edge of the door inwardly of the transverse bore between the door surface. A deadbolt is reciprocable in the housing and has a recess at its inner end. A cylindrical drive member is rotatively supported in the housing and is located with or is aligned with the deadbolt recess. The drive member carries a stop and is connected to the bolt by a linkage. When locked, a substantial portion of the length of the bolt remains engaged in the bolt housing and door so that attempts at forcing the bolt to the unlocked position are resisted by the stop which stop engages an internal surface of the bolt recess. The components are made from high strength materials and the deadbolt assembly may be retrofit to existing lock cylinders with a minimum of installation modifications.
