Abstract: A bike rack for carrying a bicycle on a vehicle includes an elongate body for supporting a bicycle, and a fork mount for securing the front fork of the bicycle. A fork mount includes a skewer assembly having a shaft and a keyed member being freed to slide axially along the shaft, but not permitted to rotate around the shaft. A handle device is provided for rotation around the shaft causing adjustment of the effective length of the shaft. A lock device is configured to couple the handle device to the keyed member and prevent rotation of the handle around the shaft.

Abstract: A sunglass holder is removably clamped on a sunvisor in a car for fastening a pair of sunglasses or eyeglasses on the sunglass holder when not in use, and an illuminator such as a LED illuminator is detachably attached to the sunglass holder. The illuminator may be easily removed from the sunglass holder for portable illumination use.

Abstract: A weather-tight storage device and carrier for a single or multiple fishing rods and reels releasably mounted to a vehicular roof carrier rack. When not mounted on a vehicle, the storage device and carrier is manageable enough to be hand-carried and may also serve as a stand for the rods and reels. The storage device and carrier includes a carrier box housing the fishing reels and a portion of the associated fishing rods and an anchor portion for securing the distal ends of the associated fishing rods to the vehicular roof rack.

Abstract: A carrying trailer for use with bicycles includes a spine, a plurality of branch members and a wheel. The spine has a connecting portion at one end thereof which is adapted to couple to a bicycle. Each branch member has a ring and a supporting arm. The ring is rotatably mounted around the spine. One end of the supporting arm is fixed to an outer radial surface of the ring and the other end thereof extends away from an axis of the ring, with the supporting arm extending in a radial direction of the ring. The wheel pivotably couples to the other end of the spine. Consequently, positions of the branch members on the spine can be adjust to form a loading plane, or to stack the supporting arms of the branch members up at the same side of the spine for reducing storage space.

The apparatus includes a cup holder having a bottom, wherein the bottom has at least one aperture and a plurality of grooves. An electrical connector is located within the at least one aperture. The apparatus also includes a removable coaster configured to be placed within the cup holder and cover the electrical connector. The removable coaster has a plurality of ridges extending therefrom. The plurality of ridges is configured to extend into the plurality of grooves in the bottom of the cup holder. A surface is positioned below the aperture. The surface has at least one weep hole and at least one wall between the surface and the electrical connector. Finally, the apparatus comprises a drip line in the path of liquid flow from the at least one weep hole.

Abstract: A system and method for controlling an overhead stowage bin compartment in a mobile platform, such as a commercial aircraft. A motor is operatively coupled to the compartment for moving the compartment between open and closed positions. A remotely located control system is in communication with the motor and supplies a current signal to the motor to drive the motor. The control system monitors operation of the motor and senses when the compartment is obstructed by sensing the current being supplied to the motor. The control system also senses a position of the compartment and, along with the computed required current, uses this information to determine if the weight of the compartment exceeds a predetermined maximum threshold.

The canister holding structure includes a holding member, including an annular portion which substantially surrounds the cylindrical body portion of the canister, and a fixing portion for attaching to the vehicle body. Positioning structure is provided for positioning the canister in relation to the holding member. The positioning structure is provided to both the annular portion and the canister. In one illustrative embodiment, the positioning structure includes at least one projection provided on a periphery of the cylindrical body portion of the canister, and multiple holes provided in the annular portion of the holding member, where each of the multiple holes is engageable with the projection.

The chamber is configured to provide a storage location for a manual and the opening is configured to accommodate passage of a manual to and from the chamber. The tab is provided adjacent to the opening and is moveable between a first position in which the tab blocks a manual from passing through the opening, and a second position in which the tab allows a manual to pass through the opening. A receptacle facilitates storage of a manual beneath the seat of a vehicle. A vehicle includes a seat, a chamber and a tab.

Abstract: A handheld electronic device vehicle holder is used to hold a handheld electronic device having a loudspeaker. The handheld electronic device vehicle holder includes a holding body, and the holding body has a sound guiding groove extending to the edge of the holding body. When the handheld electronic device is place on the holding body, the sound outlet of the loudspeaker of the handheld electronic device is placed in the sound guiding groove. Then, sounds produced from the handheld electronic device are guided to the edge of the holding body through the sound guiding groove.

Abstract: A cup holder with a securing mechanism for use in a vehicular cup holder for receiving and securing different sized cups. The cup holder includes a cylindrical opening defined by a cylindrical wall and bottom wall, tab openings formed in the cylindrical wall, tabs projecting through the openings, and a biasing device for biasing the tabs. The tabs are attached to the cup holder so as to be movable in a horizontal direction and to be rotatable in a vertical direction about a central pivot point. The tabs are biased so as to project fully into the cylindrical opening and to be in a non-pivoted position.

Abstract: A cup holder is mountable onto the top of an extendable handle projecting from the top of a piece of wheeled luggage. The cup holder holds a cup of liquid while the luggage is being pulled around. The cup holder is constructed from a stretchy fabric with a handle sleeve that resiliently grips the top of the extended luggage handle. The flexibility of the fabric material provides the cup support, in the form of a truncated hollow cone, with a way of rotating freely with respect to the luggage handle so that a self-leveling action is provided without need of a mechanical hinge.

The storage bin has a storage space extending between spaced apart sides, a guide pin extending outwardly from at least one of the sides of the storage bin, and a pair of retainer clips disposed on opposite sides of the storage bin. The housing has spaced apart side walls for receiving the storage bin therebetween, a pair of bosses each extending through one of the pair of retainer clips for pivotally interconnecting the bin to the housing for movement between open and closed positions relative to tile housing, and a track disposed on at least one of the side walls and in which the guide pin slides during the movement of the storage bin between the open and closed positions. Each of the retainer clips and the track has an open end facilitating removal of the storage bin from the housing and reinstallation of the bin to the housing.

An object may be retained within the holder through the use of two undercut tabs for snap-fit reception of the object. The holder and vehicle storage system may be used to hold electronic instruments having sensitive components that would otherwise be damaged during movement of a vehicle.

The inventive straddle-type trailer rack can also be adapted for use with open trailers. A wide range of options are available, including equipment brackets secured to the legs that can also be used as steps, lockable keeper assemblies, dual function lockable safety cross braces, catwalk for the load platform, access ladder, and forward extensions. The inventive rack is also configurable in kit form.

The assembly includes a bin portion having a pivotable door that selectably allows access to an interior storage area. A lid is disposed on the bin portion and includes front and rear edges. A slot is formed within the lid that extends perpendicularly between the front and rear edges wherein a centering pin formed on the top edge of the door cooperates with the slot to cause the door to remain centered relative to the opening formed in the vehicle dashboard. The centering pin and slot are such that they are at all times hidden from the user's view when the storage bin door is being opened or closed.

Abstract: A cargo system includes a plurality of rigidly connected compartments adapted to mount on the roof of a vehicle. The plurality of compartments includes a first compartment suitable for mounting a retractable awning and a second compartment suitable for storing cargo. The first and second compartments each include a flooring and a sidewall wherein the first compartment is rigidly connected to the second compartment by at least one of the flooring and the sidewall. One of the plurality of compartments includes a liquid container, at least a portion of the container being suspended in the compartment. The liquid container includes a tube suitable for passing liquid that emerges from the cargo system. In addition, a light assembly is operatively associated with the cargo system. The light assembly includes an electrical conductor suitable for providing power to the light assembly, the conductor emerging from the cargo system.

Abstract: An all terrain vehicle is disclosed that includes a frame, a plurality of wheels that are suspended from the frame, and a support that is fixedly attached to the frame. A fender is fixedly attached to the support and a storage rack disposed above the frame and supported by at least one of the support and the fender. The storage rack includes at least two separate sections.

Abstract: A combination diaper and holder secures a baby in a safe and comfortable position while unattended by an adult. The holder is formed of a sheet large enough to fit about a crib mattress or, at least one end of the mattress. The holder has elongated straps for placement about the mattress. A diaper having front and back waistband portions connected by a crotch section is attached to the middle portion of the holder by fastening through one of the waistband portions. The waistband portions each have cooperating fasteners on the ends. The crotch section and the other unattached waistband portion is folded through the baby's legs and the cooperating fasteners are secured to fix the baby within the diaper and on the sheet. A wedge shaped pillow may be provided for elevating the baby. The holder is attached to the wedge shaped pillow by the straps.

The lid covers the internal compartment when the lid is in the first position and the lid has an upper portion and a lower portion. The upper portion is pivotally secured to the lower portion for movement between the first position and the second position. The upper portion and the lower portion define a surface area for changing a child's diaper when the upper portion is in the second position. The internal compartment provides a plurality of storage areas for products necessary to facilitate the changing of the child's diaper.

Abstract: An apparatus for hiding a door key including a door mat formed of either a plastic material or braided material such as hemp is disclosed. The door mat is rectangularly shaped with raised portions formed on the top surface. Different embodiments are shown with these raised portions forming a decorative border, an esthetically pleasing pattern or a greeting, such as “WELCOME”, as is commonly seen. A hidden compartment sized to receive a typical house key is formed in these raised portions that is accessible through a hook and loop type closure. When the hook and loop type closure is closed, the compartment and its contents remain hidden from view.

Abstract: A cargo lid retention device and method for holding a cargo lid in an open position, wherein the retention device includes a fixed hook member, a removable hook member, and a tether. The fixed hook member defines a receptacle that releasably receives the fixed hook member. The receptacle includes an upstanding rim and a resilient fastener which cooperate to hold the removable hook member against undesired movement. The removable hook member is secured to the tether which, in turn, is secured to the cargo lid. The tether cooperates with the removable hook member when the removable hook member is secured to a remote support to maintain the cargo lid in the open position.

The lid covers the internal compartment when the lid is in the first position and the lid has an upper portion and a lower portion. The upper portion is pivotally secured to the lower portion for movement between the first position and the second position. The upper portion and the lower portion define a surface area for changing a child's diaper when the upper portion is in the second position. The internal compartment provides a plurality of storage areas for products necessary to facilitate the changing of the child's diaper.

Abstract: A storage holster designed to securely contain and provide easy access to a release pull bar that is used for unlocking a fifth wheel assembly of a transport truck. The holster comprises an elongated rectangular plate with a carrier projecting from one side of the plate. The carrier receives and supports a release pull bar and has an open end which commences at a point midway along the longitudinal axis of the plate. The closed end of the carrier terminates at the distal end of the plate and is provided with one or more holes to permit drainage of grease or oil that may be coated on a pull bar following use thereof. A pin, inserted through a hole in both the carrier and plate, works in combination with a padlock to function as a security and safety device to prevent the pull bar from being removed without authorization, or from maneuvering out of position when the truck is in transit. Connected near the proximal end and on the same side of the plate is a narrow rectangular collar lined with a rubber grommet.
