Abstract: Three-dimensional models are produced using a sheet material made of water-soluble paper. Each layer of the sheet material is made severable along the contour lines of the three-dimensional model by discharging water onto each layer of the sheet material. A coloring solution is discharged when each layer is deposited to color the sheet material. After the deposition is completed, the unnecessary parts of the sheet material can be pulled away to complete the three-dimensional model. Alternatively, by discharging a setting solution onto each layer of the sheet material, each layer of the sheet material in the section of the three-dimensional model can be insolubilized, and a color setting solution can be discharged to color and set the colored parts. After the deposition is completed, the deposition can be immersed in water to remove the sheet material that was not insolubilized and complete the three-dimensional model.

Abstract: To provide a polyimide film for molding that is light and has excellent surface smoothness, safety, moldability, heat resistance, and handleability and thus can be used as the reflector base material for illuminating devices. The polyimide film for molding is made of a thermoplastic polyimide obtained from a reaction between an aromatic tetracarboxylic acid or its dianhydride and an aromatic diamine. The lowest viscoelasticity of storage elasticity (E?) of viscoelasticity is 108 Pa or lower, and the tensile elongation at glass transition temperature (E?) A is 150% or higher.

Abstract: A process for making a solid component out of recycled paint sludge is provided. The process can include providing a paint sludge and providing a second material. Thereafter, the paint sludge and the second material are mixed to produce a paint sludge-second material mixture. The paint sludge-second material mixture is processed in order to produce a polymer containing precursor. The processing can include granulating or densifying the paint sludge-second material mixture. After the precursor has been produced, it can be placed within a molding machine and a solid component is molded. The molding machine can be an injection molding machine, an extrusion molding machine or a blow molding machine.

Abstract: Vehicle headliners are prepared with a core layer of a fiber-reinforced polyurethane foam. The polyurethane foam is prepared from a polyurethane-forming composition that uses water as a blowing agent and polyol or polyol mixture that has a high functionality and an average hydroxyl equivalent weight of 100-130. The selection of polyols permits cycle times to be reduced by allowing for faster demolding and shortened aging times before post-molding heat lamination steps can be performed.
