  • Patent number: 11713057
Abstract: A lateral control error of a steering system of an ADV is determined, which includes iteratively performing following operations for a predetermined time period. Whether the ADV is moving within a predetermined proximity of a current moving direction is determined. Next, whether a road condition of a road on which the ADV is driving satisfies a predetermined road condition is determined. Then, a first steering feedback of the ADV in response to a prior steering control command is measured. Thereafter, the lateral control error is determined based on at least a portion of the first steering feedback over the predetermined time period. Further, a steering command in view of the lateral control error of the steering system is generated. Finally, the steering command is applied to control the ADV to compensate the lateral control error of the steering system.

When anomaly transactions are detected, the processor transmits a notification to the user's registered Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) device to verify whether the transaction is fraudulent. Additionally, the MTIM provides a continuous feedback loop of user location data when forced transactions have been triggered. Forced card transactions are allowed completion and the MTIM sends a custom security code (CSC) to the user's registered MFA mobile device.

Abstract: Behavior information input unit receives stop-behavior information about vehicle from automatic-driving control device. Image-and-sound output unit outputs inquiry information for inquiring of an occupant whether a possibility of collision between an obstacle and vehicle is to be excluded from a determination object in automatic-driving control device to notification device, when a distance from one point on a predictive movement route of the obstacle to the obstacle is greater than or equal to a first threshold, and a speed of the obstacle is less than or equal to a second threshold. Operation signal input unit receives a response signal for excluding the collision possibility from the determination object. Command output unit outputs a command to exclude the collision possibility from the determination object to automatic-driving control device.

Abstract: The relates to a method for operating a driver assistance unit of a motor vehicle using a navigation target specification device. A control unit operates by: receiving a target specification signal describing a projection on a trafficable driving surface; establishing the portion of the trafficable driving surface to which the light of the projection is applied as a driving target region; and, based on the received target specification signal, establishing a relative position of the motor vehicle relative to the driving target region. There is also a step of receiving an orientation signal from an orientation detection unit of the navigation target specification device, which describes a spatial target specification orientation of the navigation target specification device in the driving target region, on which basis a navigation target is established.

  • Patent number: 11685262
Abstract: A method of operating a vehicle includes a vehicle controller receiving a driver acceleration/deceleration command for the vehicle's powertrain and determining a torque request corresponding to the driver's acceleration command. The controller shapes the torque request and determines compensated and uncompensated accelerations from the shaped torque request. The compensated acceleration is based on an estimated road grade and an estimated vehicle mass, whereas the uncompensated acceleration is based on a zero road grade and a nominal vehicle mass. A final speed horizon profile is calculated as: a speed-control speed profile based on the uncompensated acceleration if the vehicle's speed is below a preset low vehicle speed; or a torque-control speed profile based on a blend of the compensated and uncompensated accelerations if the vehicle speed exceeds the preset low vehicle speed. The controller commands the powertrain to output a requested axle torque based on the final speed horizon profile.
