Abstract: A spacer for use in a mobile device fills the space between a component assembly and a housing. The spacer includes a layer of compressible material for insertion between the component assembly and the housing. A plurality of compressible features are provided on a face of the layer. Upon insertion of the component assembly and assembly of the housing, the compressible features are compressed to fill a gap between the component assembly and the housing without over-compressing the main body of the spacer, allowing the body of the spacer to cushion any subsequent impact to the mobile device.

Abstract: An Electro Magnetic Interference (EMI) shielding device (20) includes a body (201), at least a first engaging portion (203) extending from the body, and a pair of second engaging portions (205) formed on the body. A liquid crystal display device adopting the above mentioned EMI shielding device includes a TFT LCD panel, a power supply (12), an inverter (14) and an interface board (13). The power supply, the inverter and the interface board are formed on a printed circuit board (10). The EMI shielding device is positioned between the power supply and the inverter, with the first engaging portion inserted into the printed circuit board and the second engaging portions engaging with the printed circuit board. The EMI shielding device can reduce or potentially avoid the occurrence of EMI that would otherwise be produced by the printed circuit board.

Abstract: Application of a thermally and/or electrically conductive compound to fill a thermal and/or EMI shielding gap between a first and a second surface. A supply of a fluent, form-stable compound is provided as an admixture of a cured polymer gel component, and a particulate filler component. An of the compound is dispensed from a nozzle or other orifice under an applied pressure onto one of the surfaces which, when opposed, form the gap, or into the gap formed between the surfaces. The gap is at least partially filled by at least a portion of the dispensed compound.
Abstract: A radiation shielding structure includes a first adhesive layer, a resin layer, and a metal foil laminated sequentially on a release layer of a plastic film. A metal layer pattern is formed from the metal foil. The first adhesive layer, the resin layer, and the metal layer pattern are formed sequentially from the bottom on a transparent substrate by separating the release layer from the first adhesive layer along an interface and then adhering the first adhesive layer to the transparent substrate.
Abstract: In a shielding configuration of a chip part, a shielding effect and a cooling effect are sufficiently obtained at the same time. In an electronic device including a chip part to be disclosed, a shielding conductor includes a ceiling plate section covering the chip part and side plate sections which are formed to be united with the ceiling plate section and to be at a position lower than the ceiling plate section and which are arranged on both sides in a horizontal direction of the chip part, and openings are formed in both side ends in a front-rear direction of the shielding conductor to open both sides in a front-rear direction of the chip part, and the side plate sections of the shielding conductor are electrically connected via a plurality of shielding bumps in the front-rear direction to a ground layer pattern of a mounting substrate.
Abstract: An electric appliance/extension cord assembly includes an electric appliance and an extension cord. The electric appliance includes a body having a plug with three prongs. The body further c includes a housing and a shielding conductive layer in the housing. The shielding conductive layer is electrically connected to a grounding prong of the plug of the electric appliance. The extension cord includes a casing and a plug. The casing includes a plurality of three-slot sockets. The plug of the extension cord is coupled with a two-slot socket. The plug of the electric appliance is coupled with one of the three-slot sockets of the extension cord. The extension cord further includes a detecting circuit for detecting a hot wire and a neutral wire of the two-slot socket.
