  • Patent number: 7847194
Abstract: An opening and closing device to be used in a variety of electronic apparatuses is disclosed, and the opening and closing device can be manufactured at a low cost and ensures a positive opening/closing action. After the reversing cam moves along an axial line, a movable cam protruding on an inner wall of a ring-like movable unit elastically urges against a reversing cam. While the movable cam is held at a given angle, the movable cam elastically urges against the reversing cam and rotates, so that a stationary unit needs no stationary cam during this given angle being kept. The stationary unit thus needs the stationary cam on its outer wall only in part but not entirely. As a result, the stationary unit can be manufactured with ease by forming process.

  • Patent number: 7799991
Abstract: A power distribution box has a holder with inner, deflectable lock arms for securing bus bars within the holder. When the bus bars are correctly and completely installed within the holder, engaging portions of the lock arms are received in apertures of the bus bars and the lock arms are in a locked position. A cover can fit over and properly seat on the holder. The cover has projections that slide behind the lock arms and retain the lock arms in the locked position, preventing further movement. The projections each include a blocking surface. If one or more of the bus bars are not correctly and completely installed in the holder, the related latch arms are in a deflected, unlocked position. The blocking surface of a corresponding projection abuts against the deflected lock arm and prevents proper and complete assembly of the cover onto the holder.

Abstract: A junction box for a photovoltaic system includes a housing having a base and a cover removably attached thereto, and a plurality of guide channels extending from an exterior surface of the housing to an interior portion thereof. The guide channels are sized and shaped to receive a plurality of conductive foil strips from a solar panel array. When the strips are fed into the guide channels, they are guided to and properly positioned within corresponding receptacles. Each receptacle is sized and shaped to receive a buss bar, and each strip is connected to a corresponding buss bar by a low insertion connector. When the cover is fully engaged with the base, bosses extending from the cover press against the connectors, creating a spring tension and pinch and retain the associated strip. As a result, a reliable physical and electrical connection between the strips and the buss bars is achieved. A heat sink having a plurality of fins protrude outwardly from the housing to dissipate heat externally.
