Abstract: The system and methods of the present invention generally include retrofitting at least one shrouding device that is associated with a meter reading module drive shaft that operates within a meter reading module housing. Including at least one shrouding device about the meter reading module drive shaft substantially reduces rotational wiggle or play of the drive shaft within the housing of the meter reading module during operation by reducing the void between an outer surface of the drive shaft and an inner surface of a drive shaft channel of the housing, and/or by reducing the effects of tapered shafts or drive channels. In one embodiment, the shrouding device includes a sleeve device substantially secured around a portion of the shaft confined within the drive channel during rotational operation. In alternative embodiments, at least one bushing is secured to the shaft at one or more predefined portions of the shaft.

Abstract: A case for housing an electronic circuit board having a case body formed with an opening and a sealing member for sealing the opening, wherein one of the case body and the sealing member is formed with one fastening member composed of an elastically deformable leg and a projection continuous therewith for enabling attachment of the sealing member to the case body by engagement of the fastening member with a prescribed region of the other. The projection is continuous with the leg and has a first surface formed to contact the prescribed region at a prescribe angle and a second surface continuous with the first surface and formed parallel to the prescribed region. With this, molding error can be tolerated and stress owing to volumetric variation produced by temperature change or to vibration can be readily coped with. Moreover, it is possible to prevent release of the engagement of the projection with the prescribed region, and thus to prevent separation of the sealing member from the case body.

Abstract: A rear opening of a housing 1 is covered by a first plate member portion 35 of a member 4. Heat generating elements 26 and 31 are mounted on a second plate member portions 36 of the member 4, which are elongated from the first plate member portion 35 and which are positioned in the housing 1, thereby causing the back face of the first plate member portion 35 to face the outside of the housing 1. During the period that the server management software does not detect a failure or an imminent failure in any component of the server or server group, the primary status indicator will be illuminated to reflect a normal operating status. If the server management software detects a failure or an imminent failure in a component of the server or a server in the server group, the primary status indicator will be illuminated to reflect an alert status.

  • Patent number: 6445568
Abstract: A housing for an assembly of electronic components mounted on a circuit board is predominantly made of plastic, and includes a plastic housing cover and a housing floor. Metal surfaces are provided in the housing to preferentially condense moisture from the air in the housing upon cooling, to avoid condensation on the circuit board or the electronic components. The metal surfaces may be a metal casing around an electronic component, a metallized layer deposited on an inner surface of the housing, a metal insert in the housing, a metal housing floor, or an additional metal floor plate adjacent to a plastic housing floor. A hydrophobic film enforces condensate droplet formation, and channels and drain holes drain the condensate droplets out of the housing. An encapsulating film is unnecessary on the electronic components, because condensation on these components is avoided.
