Abstract: The adhesiveness of a thermal spray coating and a cylinder internal surface is improved by forming a sufficient roughened surface on an internal surface. A processing roller is installed on the main shaft of a processing device via a pressurizing mechanism. An uneven surface is provided on the external periphery of the processing roller. By pressing the processing roller against the internal surface while the roller rotates and moves, a fine unevenness that corresponds to the unevenness of the roller is formed on the cylinder internal surface. A thermal spray coating is formed on the internal surface where the inner surface has been roughened by forming the above-mentioned unevenness.
Abstract: The housing of a grinding spindle unit is pivotably mounted by way of a pivot axle on the receiving part of a grinding machine, e.g., on a grinding headstock. The grinding spindle unit bears a grinding wheel which is driven in rotation. The actuation of an adjusting unit extends a pressure pin, which pivots the housing of the grinding spindle unit about the pivot axle and thus slants the grinding wheel. The pivot axle is in this case formed as a film hinge through a zone of targeted elastic material deformation. A tensile spring device brings about constant contact between the pressure pin and the receiving part.

Abstract: The invention concerns a brush-type deburring machine for deburring opposed ends of at least one elongate profile formed in a longitudinal direction during conveying in a conveying direction with two rows of conveying discs arranged in the conveying direction, wherein the conveying discs are arranged opposite one another in pairs and in each case have at least one aperture corresponding to an opposite aperture for receiving the at least one elongate profile, a gripping device by which the at least one elongate profile is capable of being inserted into the mutually corresponding apertures, with a pressing device arranged between the corresponding apertures and by which a force is capable of being exerted upon the at least one elongate profile in a direction radially towards the inside with respect to the conveying discs into the corresponding apertures.
Abstract: On a workpiece there are first longitudinal portions which are rotationally symmetrical with respect to the continuous longitudinal axis and are intended to be ground by way of centerless grinding. The workpiece also has a second longitudinal portion, which is not rotationally symmetrical with respect to the longitudinal axis and would lead to imbalance in the event of rotation. Therefore, a balancing weight having a radially extending recess is placed on the second longitudinal portion. The balancing weight contributes largely to uniform distribution of the rotating masses, thus reduces the imbalance to a very low residual imbalance and allows reliable and precise centerless grinding.
