Abstract: A cover for single serving beverage filter containers is provided. The cover may have a body forming an aperture at its center, a door hingedly attached to the body and capable of covering the aperture, and a flange extending from an outer perimeter of the body. A spring may allow the door to be biased in a closed position to cover the aperture.

Abstract: A modular front-loading, refuse collecting vehicle has a low-profile, front-loadable waste bin (intermediate container) and a side-loading robotic arm. To reduce mechanical stresses, a major portion of the mass of the robotic arm mechanism is situated to the rear of the intermediate container so that a mass and beam combination is defined where the mass-supporting beam has reduced length. More specifically, hydraulic and/or other relatively massive motor devices of the robotic arm mechanism are mounted to the rear of a refuse-containing wall of the intermediate container. Elastomeric and/or other dampening devices may be interposed between the vehicle and the bulk mass of the combination of the intermediate container and robotic arm mechanism for converting into heat some vibrational energy. A modular sled system may be provided for supporting different robotic arms in combination with refuse containers made of different materials.

Abstract: Device and method for needle penetrating and filling a chamber with a predetermined substance, and hermetically resealing a resulting needle hole in the device by applying radiation thereto. The needle penetrable and resealable portion defines a predetermined wall thickness in an axial direction thereof, and may include a thermoplastic that substantially prevents the formation of particles released into the chamber from the needle penetrable and resealable portion during penetration by and withdrawal of the needle. Such thermoplastic may include a predetermined amount of pigment that allows the thermoplastic to substantially absorb laser radiation at a predetermined wavelength, substantially prevent the passage of radiation through the predetermined wall thickness thereof, and hermetically seal a needle aperture formed in the needle penetration region thereof in a predetermined time period.

Abstract: A lid-opening apparatus for a dust collector includes a base installed on a lid, a controller connected on the base, a cord defining a first end associated with a conduit and a second end associated with the frame, and a limiting member associated with the cord and between the first end and the second end of the cord. The controller can be rotated to a first position and a second position. While the controller is in the first position, the cord is in a loose condition, a flexible portion of the conduit is stretched, and the lid seals the container. While the controller is in the second position, the cord is in a tight condition, the flexible portion of the conduit shortens, and the lid leaves the container.

Abstract: A fuel tank assembly with a fuel cap sub-assembly that includes active (that is, automatic) pressure equalization hardware and a passive (that is, manually operated) vent. The fuel cap assembly further includes radially oriented ratchet teeth. The fuel cap assembly further includes single piece fuel cap tether that is anchored in the interior space of the fuel tank.

Abstract: The Decorative Liquid Soap Container (DLSC) is a storage enclosure for disposable liquid soap units and hand sanitizer units. The disposable liquid soap or hand sanitizer unit fits in inside of the Decorative Liquid Soap Container (DLSC) and a hole in the lid of the DLSC will fit over the pumping device of the disposable liquid soap or hand sanitizer unit. The DLSC could be designed to match items in any bathroom accessory set, such as a tissue box holder, cotton ball jar, and trash can. Storing the disposable liquid soap unit inside the DLSC eliminates the need to manually pour soap into a dispenser. The DLSC also provides decorative storage for dish soap units.

Abstract: A closure for a container has a closure body having a first cylindrical portion and a second cylindrical portion opposite the first portion. The closure also has a connector disposed in at least one of the first and second portions. The connector is adapted to connect one of a sample collection device and an applicator to the closure. A containing apparatus including the closure, a container, and optionally one of a sample collection device and an applicator is also disclosed. A method of using the containing apparatus is also disclosed.

Abstract: A container for spouting drink which contains gas, includes: a container structure including container body for containing the drink, wherein the container body has a container opening; and a control device, including: a drink-decomposed plug provided on the container opening, which is capable of being decomposed by the drink, a blocking element positioned inside the container body, for preventing the drink-decomposed plug from contacting with the drink, and a triggering element for disabling the blocking element when needed, wherein when the triggering element disables the blocking element, the drink contacts with the drink-decomposed plug and starts decomposing the drink-decomposed plug, and after the drink-decomposed plug is completely decomposed, the drink spouts out of the container body.

Abstract: An electrical switchgear cabinet is provided for building and/or industrial installations, for example. The switchgear cabinet includes installed parts which are arranged therein and which have standardized dimensions. The installation area which is provided in the switchgear cabinet for the installed parts is larger than the required dimensions of the installed parts, as a result of which a gap in each case results between the switchgear cabinet and the respective installed part. A cover is provided for each gap. The cover fills the relevant gap and provides direct-contact protection.

Abstract: A hermetically sealed container is disclosed that may be produced by an effective and economical process for an in-plant system. The container comprises a coated unitary tray component having a base portion, a side wall portion, and a flange portion; and a lid component hermetically sealed to the flange portion of the tray component. A selected composite polymer film is blow-molded onto an interior surface of the pre-shaped unitary tray structure to provide the coated unitary tray component having its interior surface seamlessly, creaselessly and integrally bonded with the polymeric film.

Abstract: A unitary plastic container, which is optionally used for waste collection comprises a base, a front wall, a back wall and two opposing side walls, each wall extending upwardly from the base to define an open container top and an interior container volume. Each side wall has an outwardly extending sidewall portion which is outwardly offset relative to the rest of the container side wall. In each outwardly extending sidewall portion, an elongated cutout, indentation or channel is present. The elongated channel has a forward opening, a rearward opening and an elongated side opening extending from the forward opening to the rearward opening. The elongated channel lies within the interior container volume and divides the outwardly extending sidewall portion into two areas: an upper outwardly extending sidewall portion and a lower outwardly extending portion. The outwardly open elongate channel may be fitted with a reinforcing sleeve.

Abstract: An electrical switchgear cabinet is includes two side wall parts and a respective cover and base wall part. The wall parts are in each case integrally connected to one another, and form a rectangular frame which can be connected to a rear face and to a front face. Each side wall part and each cover or base wall part is angled along its outer edges so as to form a box-like shape. The angled edges are integrally connected to one another at the abutment points with adjacent angled outer edges and form a corner profile at each frame corner. As a result, it is possible for a connecting profile to be connected to the corner profile in each case. A switchgear cabinet connecting profile of the abovementioned type for connecting at least two switchgear cabinets (e.g., in a force-fitting manner) is also provided.

The lever mechanism portion (30) is composed of a lever portion (33) having a force-applied point (P) portion that is pressed by a finger and an action point (Q) portion that is pressed against an external periphery portion of said lid portion (20) when pressed with the finger so as to open the same, and a support portion (31, 32) for supporting said lever portion (33) via a thin-walled portion (35) that constitutes a fulcrum (O) portion, in a freely swinging manner. The lever mechanism portion (30) allows the lid portion (20) to be easily opened with one hand without putting much burden on the fingers even if it is very tightly closed.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a storage device for puzzles, especially jigsaw puzzles. The storage device comprises a secure packaging with a gusset allowing for expansion, a Velcro closure flap on a short side (such as Velcro), a gauge adhesive is also located on the entire back of the envelope and is peeled off to stick to the bottom of the puzzle base or box. Individual puzzle pieces go inside.

A lid partially covering the container opening is also provided wherein the lid includes a lid passage which defines a collector inlet disposed in fluid communication with the container space through the container opening such that the lid passage provides a passage for entry of environmental precipitation into the container space. The container includes an overflow outlet configured for discharging an overflow of the received precipitation collected within the container space.

In one embodiment, a lid has a rectangular top with a circular opening, as well as a plurality of protruding flaps extending outward from a side of the rectangular top. Abstract: A durable one-piece plastic container having a bottom, upwardly extending cylindrical sidewalls and a rim extending circumferentially around the top of the cylindrical side wall. The side wall is interspersed with gussets and flutes providing support for the side wall. The flutes run over the edge of the bottom of the container forming handles. On the top of the container there are primary and secondary rims forming a 360 degree continuous handle surrounding the entire container perimeter for easy lifting of the container.

Abstract: There is provided a waterproof case which prevents ingress of water into the waterproof case through a protection piece, including a case body formed into a rectangular tube-like shape with a peripheral wall thereof and a lower cover having a bottom wall covering a lower opening of the case body and a peripheral wall extending from the bottom wall. The peripheral wall of the body case is placed so as to cover the peripheral wall of the lower cover. The protection piece is provided at the peripheral wall of the lower cover so as to sandwich the peripheral wall of the case body with the peripheral wall of the lower cover to prevent the deformation of the peripheral wall of the lower cover. There is also provided a protrusion protruding from a surface of the peripheral wall of the case body on which the protection piece is placed.

Abstract: A container which is not bulky at the time of shipping and can be stably stood on a suitable place. The container includes a lid member for closing a take-out opening (brittle portion) of the container body 2. On the lower outer side of the container body, there are formed slits for fitting the lid member to the container body after the container body and the lid member are separated apart, and auxiliary leg portions that protrude outward of the container body. The lid member is forming holding leg portions that protrude outward therefrom. Wing portions of the holding leg portions are inserted in the slits to fit the lid member to the container body, and the erected attitude of the container body is supported by the holding leg portions.

Abstract: An apparatus for determining a tank fill level includes at least one cap, an extraction pipe which extends through the cap and at least partially has an electrically conductive material, a jacket pipe disposed around the extraction pipe and at least partially has an electrically conductive material, and a measuring unit forming a first electrode with the extraction pipe and a second electrode with the jacket pipe. A tank for a urea/water solution is also provided, in which the apparatus is used as a quality sensor and/or a fill level sensor. A motor vehicle having a tank is also provided.

Abstract: A parfait cup including a cup, an insert, a catch panel lid and a dome lid such that the parfait cup incorporates at least three individual containers within a single, compact package. The parfait cup maintains each of the contents separately from one another until a consumer desires to combine them. The cup is designed so as to hold a yogurt or other similar contents. The insert is designed to separately hold granola, nuts, cereal or other similar contents. The catch panel lid and dome lid are designed in such a way as to, together, hold fruit or similar contents while simultaneously allowing any juices or excess water exuded from the fruit to be retained in one or more reservoirs in the top of the catch panel lid.

Abstract: Secure containers are disclosed for disposal of unused, experimental, and/or expired pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, veterinary medicines, and/or similar materials, where the containers include at least one unidirectional apparatus for depositing materials into an interior of the container, while resisting normal attempts at retrieval of deposited materials. Methods are also disclosed for making and using the secure containers including a unidirectional member supporting deposition of materials into an interior of the container, while resisting withdrawal of deposited materials.

The base includes a cylindrical base segment extending upwardly from the base and having an external thread. The series of cylindrical body segments are of graduated diameters which telescopically engage each other and the cylindrical base segment, and include an externally threaded upper portion, and an internal thread that extends the across all of an internal surface of each of the cylindrical body segments, such that each of the cylindrical body segments is threadedly engaged with and supported by either the external thread of the cylindrical base segment, or the externally threaded upper portion of one of the cylindrical body segments.

Abstract: A receptacle (2) for organic waste, the receptacle intended for the storage and transport of the said waste once contained within a plastic bag or the like is provided, the receptacle comprising a housing (4) for containing the organic waste having an opening (8) therein; a lid (14) for closing the opening in the housing; fastening means (26,28) for securing the lid in a closed position over the opening in the housing, the fastening means allowing the passage of air therethrough; and a seal assembly (30) disposed to seal the opening in the housing when the lid is in the closed position. The receptacle may comprise a scented or perfumed element (40), preferably a disc of scented or perfumed material removably disposed in the housing. The housing and lid are preferably formed from a flexible, washable material, in particular a chloroprene polymer.

Abstract: A container has a cylindrical body and a cover attached to an end thereof. The end has an annular thicker portion. The cover has a substantially circular plate portion with a substantially cylindrical portion and a circumferential projecting edge surrounding the plate portion forming an annular space. The end is inserted into the annular space. The cylindrical portion is provided on the outer surface with an annular step portion corresponding to an inner end of the annular thicker portion. An end portion of the cylindrical portion is widened so that the outer diameter of the end portion is larger than the inner diameter of the cylindrical body. The cover is attached to the end of the cylindrical body by using an inserting means having a tapered inner surface. The cover cannot be reattached once it is detached from the container.

Abstract: A container and a lid are connected together in a sealing arrangement. Opposed sides of the lid and container are connected together by side catches. Opposed ends of the container are connected together by end catches different from the side catches. Use of either of the catches effects the seal around the periphery of the container.

Abstract: A cup or container offers improved rigidity-to-weight ratio and tight nesting. The cup or container has four flat or moderately concave sidewalls arranged to form a substantially square cross section. An upper rim is moderately convex or round and/or otherwise shaped and/or reinforced to resist distortion. The stiff upper rim causes the cup or container to resist deformation by compression of sidewalls during handling and use, because the walls cannot be deformed without deforming the rim, thereby providing a more functional and usable cup or container at a reduced weight compared to prior art cups having different shapes and/or convex sidewalls. The cup or container can be thermoformed or injection molded. Sidewalls can be less than 0.33, 0.3, 0.28 or 0.25 mm thick with volumes of less than 6, 5, 4, or 3 oz respectively. A lid can be included for attachment to the upper rim.

Abstract: Disclosed is a hydration system that generally includes a tank and a bracket. The hydration system may include a two-part bracket comprising a conveyance bracket portion and a tank bracket portion. The tank may be provided with an elongate sleeve disposed in the tank proximal a fill opening and defining a fluid conduit, the sleeve being provided with a plurality of apertures, the tank further being provided with a float sized to fit within the fluid conduit and cooperating with the sleeve to occlude the fill opening in response to the tank being filled with fluid. In many embodiments, the hydration system described herein permits ready and rapid filling of the tank through the fill opening while inhibiting splashing of the fluid out of the tank.

Abstract: A composite food storage container combines the advantages of glass and polymer while avoiding their disadvantages. A composite food storage container may include an outer polymer container that is configured to accommodate a glass container within the polymer container. Since the food does not contact the polymer, there are no potential concerns with chemicals leeching into the food. Since the glass is surrounded by the polymer container, the glass is protected from breakage and the composite food storage container does not become too hot to easily and safely handle upon removal from a microwave oven.

Abstract: A container is provided with a flange defining a container opening that may help expunge food product as the film and seal head comes down on the container flange. The flange of the container opening has a predetermined angle. The container flange with its sealing surface generally deflects or angularly pivots when sealed with the film during the sealing process. The container flange and film may push product contamination from the sealing surfaces inwardly into the container. The flange may be continuous about the periphery of the container opening.

Abstract: This invention presents a new form and method of use for disposable lids. The new lid slides into the cup, relying on the pressure between the outer wall of the lid and the inner wall of the cup for liquid-tight sealing. The new approach provides opportunities for expanding the range of materials that can be used to construct lids for single use cups and offers benefits for single use container manufacturers and the material recovery industry.
