Abstract: The invention is directed to a composition of matter useful as a paper impregnant, to the method of its use, and to the products produced by the method. Poly (diphenylmethane diisocyanate) or PMDI has been used in the past as a paper impregnant with or without propylene carbonate as a diluent. These products have generally required pressing under high pressures and at elevated temperatures. It has now been found that triacetin and/or triethyl citrate in usages up to about 20% of PMDI give superior performance in impregnated products. The modified PMDI will cure at essentially ambient conditions in times as short as 1-2 days to insoluble polyureas with low residual amounts of isocyanates and reaction byproducts such as 4,4'-diaminodiphenylmethane. The treated papers can be used in applications of which skins for sandwich panels and high strength corrugated board would be exemplary.

Abstract: A pizza box adapted to be broken down after use into pieces to facilitate disposal having top and bottom panels, each having front, rear, left side, and right side edges, a rear panel hingedly connecting the top and bottom panels together at their rear edges, and left side, right side, and front flaps at the left side, right side, and front edges of the top and bottom panels. At least one divider strip extends across at least the top and bottom panels, for dividing the top and the bottom panels into smaller component pieces for easier disposal. According to the method of this invention a pizza box is provided having at least one divider strip extending across at least the top and bottom panels, for dividing the top and the bottom panels into smaller component pieces for easier disposal. After use the divider strip is grasped and pulled to thereby divide the top and bottom panels into smaller component pieces for easier disposal.

Abstract: Display holders and blank sheets for forming them are disclosed. When assembled, the holders have one or more boxes supported by a header piece. A brace member forms both an end flap for one or more of the boxes and provides a rigid brace to support the box(es).

Abstract: A corrugated cardboard structure for use in wrapping of goods during shipment. A core cardboard of wave shape is glued to at least one cardboard surface sheet at crests of the waves of the core cardboard, with at least one non-glued portion of the cardboard surface sheet adjacent to one of the crests being between two glued portions. The corrugated cardboard structure of the invention can be formed into an open-ended hollow tubular configuration for placement around goods during shipment of the goods. Alternatively, the cardboard structure can be formed into a rectangular box for containment of goods during shipment or storage of the goods.

Abstract: Laminated packaging material includes a corrugated inner ply, a paperboard outer ply having a detachable coupon portion outlined with a perforated die cut, an adhesive between facing surfaces of the outer ply and the corrugated inner ply for adhering the facing surfaces to one another, and an adhesion-preventing agent on the detachable coupon portion of the facing surface of the outer ply for preventing adhesion of the detachable coupon portion to the corrugated inner ply. The laminated packaging material may be manufactured according to a first sequence of steps wherein the adhesion preventing agent is applied to the detachable coupon before the detachable coupon is outlined with a perforated die cut, and the adhesive is applied only to the corrugated inner ply.

Abstract: A taco holder is formed from a blank cut from a sheet of paperboard material. The blank has a first pair of parallel fold lines across the mid-portion and a second pair of fold lines near the side edges so that they can be folded up to form feet. Perforated polygons extending across the parallel lines can be folded to lock the taco holder in position to receive tacos, which are supported on the side panels while being made up and while being heated, as in a microwave oven.
